Main Purpose of the Role (Sole Lead)
- Strategy & Leadership

About you
You are a highly skilled financial analyst with advanced Excel capabilities and experience using business intelligence tools. About the role
In this role, you will deliver advanced, data-driven insights that inform strategic and operational decisions across CARE International UK. You will design and maintain financial models, produce impactful reports and dashboards, and lead the automation of reporting processes to enhance efficiency. St John Ambulance is England's leading, volunteer-powered first aid charity dedicated to first aid education and emergency response across England. The Finance Business Partner in Volunteering is responsible for providing the first line of support and assistance with the development of financial plans, analysis of the financial performance and forecasts of the Volunteering businesses. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team to ensure delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, that is aligned to strategic operational plans.

The key duties of this Finance Business Partner will be as follows:
- Provide impactful and effective finance business partnering to St John Budget Holders, the Senior Management and Executive Teams.
- Deliver high quality business and financial analysis, with detailed outcomes and benefits, to identify and present coherent rationales for change, to support effective delivery of services.
- Work with the relevant stakeholders, to timetable in the production of the charity’s monthly management accounts, the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting process.
- Drive continuous improvement in St John’s financial management reporting, forecasting and analysis.
- Utilise technology and tools to continuously improve the presentation and content of the charity’s financial management reports.
- Provide clear and understandable narrative to stakeholders and the rest of the team, advocating good accounting principles.
- Identify and implement cost and efficiency savings, without compromising the quality of the service and accuracy of the reporting.
- Work with business partners to provide the financial analysis and appraisal for business cases.
The successful candidate will have:
- A full professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or CIMA).
- Ideally, experience in the charity sector and working in large complex organisations.
- Significant experience in management accounting processes.
- Demonstrable, previous, extensive experience in a finance business partner role.
- Track record of supporting the end-to-end processes for in-year forecasts and annual budgets.
- Experience in dealing with a stakeholders at all levels, internal and external.
- Excellent influencing skills, with confidence and gravitas to respectfully challenge.

As an Independent Advocate, you will provide crucial support to vulnerable adults facing significant health and social care challenges. You will deliver a range of statutory advocacy services including Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) and Care Act Advocacy. Your role involves delivering persuasive verbal and written representations on behalf of clients, collaborating with public and voluntary organisations, and taking directed actions to address client issues. This role demands flexibility, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidently.
Hours of Work: Full-Time: 37 hours, working between Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Location: Home based with travel around the Birmingham area.

Salary: Starting Salary of £24,242.40 per annum

Independent Advocate Requirements:
- Strong communication and time management skills to successfully work remotely.
- Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn software packages such as client management databases.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.
- Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.

About this key role
As our Support Worker, you will support the promotion of the project, both internally and externally, and the achievement of project targets for engagement and progression onto training, employment and other outcomes for the Young Adults with Complex Emotional Needs (YACEN). You will maintain accurate and timely client records and evidence of all achieved outcomes according to programme requirements and as required by the funders, while also building excellent relationships with local authorities, voluntary organisations, mental health services, schools/colleges and other services across Bedfordshire.
We will rely on you to develop contacts and liaise with external agencies to develop positive working relationships, enabling effective referrals of participants and developing progression opportunities, plus deliver Transition Life Skills sessions to a cohort of young people. Actively promoting gender equality and involving the people we serve, and looking to address some of the unique issues faced by minority groups, including ensuring accessible resources in multiple formats (e.g. easy read, different languages) and working with specialist community groups are also key duties.

- The ability to engage and holistically support young adults who face multiple and complex barriers to employment, including complex emotional needs such as a diagnosed personality disorder
- In-depth knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by the client group in accessing and sustaining employment and methods that result in positive outcomes
- The ability to engage and build positive relationships with employers to support both employees and employers and encourage improvements to the quality of employment
- The ability to work to targets and record information to enable effective monitoring of performance against targets

Greenhouse Sports is on a mission to change the lives of young people in poverty through the power of sport and mentoring. Too many young people are being left behind. It is not because they lack potential, but because poverty stacks the odds again them. This affects their education, mental health, and their future.
In 2025 we launched our new strategy ‘For Every Future’ which outlined the charity’s bold mission and our ambitious plans to achieve this. The Role
Corporate partnerships provide a vital source of income at Greenhouse Sports. The priority for the Corporate Partnerships Team is to further grow income, with an ambitious target of £1.1 million in 2025/26 - a 30% increase on the previous year.
The Corporate Development Manager will play a critical role in realising this new income, whilst diversifying the pipeline and strengthening existing relationships through superior cultivation and stewardship.

The Person
The Corporate Development Manager will play a vital role in the continued growth and development of corporate income, with the majority of their time dedicated to sourcing new business.

- Identifying and qualifying new partnership leads that demonstrate clear value alignment with Greenhouse Sports, building a substantial pipeline that you will own and drive forward.
- Planning, developing and delivering cultivation journeys for strong leads to secure five- and six- figure corporate partnerships.
- Leading on meetings with new business prospects.
- Designing and creating partnership proposals, presentations and/ or pitches for potential new partners.
- Leading on the renewal of existing five- and six- figure partnerships, developing clear stewardship plans that strengthen relationships and maximise opportunities for growth.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams across the organisation.
- Excelling at use of our CRM (Beacon) and ensuring it’s kept up-to-date.

We are looking for an experienced People Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers a great opportunity to join a small busy team providing an excellent administrative service to support the People and Governance team and Bristol SU as a whole.
Reporting directly to the People Manager, this is a dual-administration role, which requires a candidate to be confident and willing to handle both general, and payroll-related administration, for which full training will be provided. For clarity, the payroll administration aspect of the role does not involve any specialist payroll processing, the requirement is to collate basic payroll-related information accurately from within our people systems to send on to a payroll provider for processing.
The role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, good communication, sound time management skills, as well as having an approachable, flexible and can-do attitude to work. Strong skills in basic Excel are also required for the role. We are seeking an experienced Administrator who is self-motivated, highly organised and who, once trained, will work on their own initiative. Being a dual role carrying out both people and payroll admin, the successful candidate will need to be confident to multitask and prioritise on a regular basis.
We support hybrid working, and this role requires at least 3 days per week in the office due to the nature of the role.
