You will be joining a nationally recognised project, working with a whole range of community organisations and stakeholders including GP surgeries, local Councillors, mental health services, local authorities, to support residents to fulfil their personal goals, make connections with others, and design activities and services that meet local needs.

The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space Support Workers will provide advice, information, support and representation to Croydon residents who are referred to the Space through the local Integrated Care Network Plus multi-disciplinary clinical and community mental health support teams (MDTs) based in the local Mental Health and Wellbeing Spaces in North, Central/East Croydon and/or South Croydon.
In addition to casework, the role will be expected to assist with reception and initial referrals in the Space when required and will also support Space volunteers. The Health and Wellbeing Space team will ensure that support is person-centred; focussed on supporting recovery; that needs, and wishes are identified by people themselves; that they have a stronger voice in relation to issues that affect their lives; and that they are supported and empowered to improve and/or maintain their mental health and wellbeing and to live their best independent lives.
The multi-disciplinary team during the initial one-year test period will inform the development and growth of the Health and Wellbeing Space to meet local needs and to ensure that it can support community-based mental health and wellbeing across the whole population and in all 6 Integrated Care Network Plus localities by 2023.
The role is an integral part of the ICN+ which brings together clinical and community-based support and services in co-located teams based in the Health and Wellbeing Spaces. Support the development of the online community platform

Coordinate & lead community engagement activities
Coordinate targeted activities within the community to improve the user experience, to enhance the interactive nature of our community forum, and to increase the levels of accessibility and engagement across the entire membership.
Reporting

Black Thrive Global evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. Purpose of the role
This post is a central delivery role that will help with the implementation of the Communications Strategy, a key enabler for public co-production and participatory decision making. The role supports community-led consultation on how to improve trust and relationships between policing and Black Communities across London. The Community Engagement Officer will be undertaking a wide range of work including support with the development and distribution of communication content that is culturally appropriate, engaging and informative. NAZ is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to develop and deliver a culturally competent sexual health promotion and STI/HIV prevention service to women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicity communities within the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
Health promotion activities will include Rapid HIV Testing, providing brief information, advice and support to people about sexual health and wellbeing, identifying risky behaviours and referring people appropriately into sexual health services. This will take place in a variety of community settings accessible to target populations including community groups, churches and shopping centres.
The role is normally based at 21 Wardour Street, London W1D 6PN, with visits to the NAZ office 30 Blacks Road, W6 9DT and across multiple sites within the three boroughs and other London locations; though also includes working from home at present due to Covid-19.

Age UK Sutton is seeking to appoint a Community Connections Officer to support the Let’s Connect service to support older people in the Borough of Sutton to alleviate loneliness and isolation. This service has been developed over the last two years, building on our previous experience delivering more traditional befriending activities. This new role represents an expansion of the service, and an opportunity to support its further development. Reporting to the Let’s Connect Programme Manager, you will work alongside another Officer, to coordinate our volunteer-delivered Community Connections service.
You will champion the service, and be responsible for matching people referred to the service with suitable volunteers, so they can begin their social relationship.
We need someone who understands the demographics and social challenges of Sutton – in particular someone passionate about, and able to articulate, our vision for building close community networks in order to tackle isolation and loneliness, and the impact that a service like this can make.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advice Casework Lead (debt, benefits and housing) to join our team as part of Oasis Hub Waterloo. Oasis Waterloo has run debt advice services and a food bank for the last decade. More recently we have developed further advice and support programmes, including benefits, immigration, and housing advice. We are now looking for a relational, supportive, experienced advice worker, to lead a small team and ensure we are delivering excellent advice, in a holistic community setting.

In this role, you would be working with local community members, to improve their circumstances through the provision of high-quality advice, as well as supporting development and ensuring best practice across the service. This role is based in our newly relaunched community space at the Oasis Centre and will include supporting with community drop-ins and walk-ins, as well as 1-2-1 appointments,
Key responsibilities.
- Managing your own caseload of clients, collaborating closely with other team members and volunteers
- Line managing a small team delivering client casework
- Ensuring compliance and quality control across our casework provision, including obtaining quality standards, creating client feedback mechanisms, and ensuring policy compliance
The successful post holder must have:
- Experience providing face-to-face advice
- A willingness to work with people who have multiple and complex needs
- A recognised advice qualification or equivalent experience
- Line management experience
- Attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of advice practice and policy

JOB PURPOSE
To work with the Cultural Advocacy Team to develop and deliver a community outreach programme to BME communities.
To work closely with VAC’s BME and capacity building services to build the capacity of BME host organisations to continue to provide support on mental health issue to communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Cultural Advocacy Project Manager and the Community Development Worker to:
- Develop and carry out an active outreach programme to BME communities.
- To engage BME community groups and individuals in the project as hosts and providers of services.
- To act as a two way channel of information from and to communities , the Cultural Advocacy Team, service providers and VAC’s BME and capacity building services
- To co-facilitate peer support groups for people working and volunteering with BME communities.
KEY TASKS
Working with the Cultural Advocacy Project Manager and the Community Development Worker to:
- Work with communities and to engage and work with Mental Health Champions and community members to identify key issues to address around mental health
- Work with communities to co-produce, organise and deliver community workshops to raise awareness
- Work with host organisations to recruit, train and develop dedicated mental health volunteers
- Work with communities to facilitate sessions between BME communities and statutory providers to enable better access to existing services
- Undertake training in developing and running peer support groups, and maintain and use these practice skills
- Co-facilitate at least one peer support group
- Work with communities to initiate and support a two-way dialogue and link between BME communities, service providers, the Cultural Advocacy Service and VAC
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely reporting information both for internal and external purposes.
