We're looking for 2-3 detail-oriented and strategic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Specialist Volunteers to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most and increase the charity’s search engine results rankings. The SEO Specialist Volunteers will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and searchability of Burning Nights CRPS Support’s website and digital content.

The SEO Specialist Volunteers will be volunteering within the Communications & Marketing Team to implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, improve site structure, and analyse web performance – all to ensure our content reaches a broader audience and amplifies the voice of our charity’s supporters online.

Key Tasks and Objectives

• Competitor and Keyword Research: Conduct keyword research to inform website content and campaign strategies.

Across Yorkshire, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) is Yorkshire and Humber’s leading

brain tumour charity. Offering practical, financial and emotional support to both adult and child

brain tumour patients, together with their families.

The overall role of a Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisation’s financial affairs, ensuring its financial viability and that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.

Mind Cymru is Mind in Wales. We aim to make sure everyone in Wales has access to the mental health information, support and services they need. We are here to make sure no-one in Wales faces a mental health problem alone.

We are currently working with our network of 16 local minds in Wales to recruit new trustees. Local Minds provide support and services at the heart of their communities, reaching almost 37,000 people a year in Wales.

We are looking to recruit an Administration Volunteer for the Lothian-wide Group. Our Administration Volunteers are the linchpin for our local groups’ activities. They act as the first point of contact and they make sure all relevant information is circulated to other volunteers and members. And they play an important role in keeping our data and details up to date to comply with data protection legislation.

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

Qualifications and Experience:

Looking for a way to give back and make a difference in your community? Join us as a Volunteer Receptionist and help create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Whether you're retired, between jobs, studying, or simply want to give your time for a good cause, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for volunteers who can give 6–12 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Whether that’s a couple of mornings, afternoons, or full days, we’ll work around what suits you.

What you'll be Doing

You’ll help our office run smoothly by:

• Greeting and welcoming visitors with a friendly, professional manner

• Answering and directing phone calls

• Keeping our front desk area tidy and organised

• Logging visitors and issuing badges

• Handling mail and deliveries

• Assisting with general admin tasks like photocopying, filing, and scanning

• Helping prepare meeting rooms with refreshments or equipment when needed

Who We’re Looking For?

You don’t need to have loads of experience—we’ll support you along the way—but if any of the following sounds like you, you’ll be a great fit:

• A people person who loves a chat and makes others feel welcome

• Reliable and happy to roll up your sleeves to help out

• Organised, detail-oriented, and good at juggling small tasks

• Comfortable using a PC and familiar with basic Microsoft programs

• Previous reception or office experience is a bonus, but not essential

Role Summary

As a Governance Officer, you will work closely with the Governance Lead to ensure strong governance practices across Roots Academy. Your role will focus on supporting governance frameworks, policies, and compliance measures to align with charity governance requirements and relevant regulations. You will also play a key role in embedding a culture of governance across the organisation.

Key tasks

Trustee Support

• Assist trustees with governance-related tasks and ensure they have access to relevant policies, guidelines, and resources.
• Direct trustees to appropriate regulatory frameworks, best practices, and governance training materials.

Governance & Compliance Support

• Support the onboarding process for new trustees, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and securely stored.
• Assist in coordinating trustee meetings, including preparation of agendas, accurate minute-taking, and document distribution.
• Maintain key governance registers, such as the register of interests, policy register, and risk register, ensuring timely updates and compliance.

Policy & Risk Management

• Support the Governance Lead in developing and reviewing governance policies, including Conflict of Interest, Risk Management, and Whistleblowing Policies.
• Assist team leads in ensuring policies are implemented effectively and aligned with best practices.
• Help monitor compliance with Charity Commission regulations and the Fundraising Code of Conduct.

Embedding a Governance Culture

• Assist in raising awareness of governance principles across the organisation.
• Support the Governance Lead in organising training sessions or briefings on governance best practices.
• Help integrate governance principles into the organisation’s operations and decision-making processes.

What we’re looking for

▪ Interest or experience in charity governance, risk management, or compliance.

▪ Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

▪ Excellent organisation and communication skills.

▪ Ability to work independently while collaborating with different teams.

▪ Familiarity with Charity Commission Regulations and governance best practices (desirable but not essential).
