About the Role

As Maintenance Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, and ready for occupation. You’ll diagnose defects, manage repairs, liaise with contractors and residents, and oversee compliance with electrical testing regimes. You’ll also support the delivery of quinquennial repairs and improvements and contribute to the smooth running of the Property team. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team and contribute to the mission of the diocese.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A constructed related qualification or relevant experience
• Strong technical knowledge of construction and maintenance works within a housing setting
• Experience of delivering a customer focused service and positively engaging with stakeholders
• Good IT skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• A valid driving licence and be able to drive around the diocese for the purpose of the role

About the role:

Working as a partner between finance and IT, the Systems Accountant will join Parkinson’s UK at a pivotal time of investment in their finance systems and processes. You will play a key part in supporting and managing finance system upgrades, implementations, and developments, liaising across key stakeholder groups to ensure that the finance systems are optimised to meet business needs, enhance financial reporting and drive efficiency across the business.

What you’ll do:

• Support the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of financial systems.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure smooth system integration and data accuracy.

Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)

Location: Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines). Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 21:00 - 09:00 on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. 

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants.
• Be a present member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who’ve experienced homelessness and may have complex needs. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs. What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency.
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role.
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents.
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs.

We offer support to 16 customers across two locations: Hope House, a 10-bed supported housing facility, and Doddsfield Road, which has 6 floating support flats.

Hope House provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, following a shift rota system (staff on sleep-ins receive additional pay beyond the advertised salary). Doddsfield Road offers floating support during working hours.

The team consists of one Contract Manager, one Team Leader, and four Support Workers. Staff collaborate closely with the Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT), and a designated Occupational Therapist works alongside the support staff. Customers also attend Hope College, facilitated by the Slough Mental Health Team, as part of their recovery process and preparation for independent living.

This position presents a valuable opportunity for support workers to gain extensive experience in the mental health sector, thanks to the strong partnership with SCMHT. We have also introduced training directly from SCMHT to help support staff better understand mental health diagnoses and manage crises with our customers on-site.

We are working with an amazing mission led organisation to support them in finding a great Helpline Advisor. The role would see you using those great listening and problem solving skills, and supporting people in crisis, and vulnerable people.

There is an opportunity to work mainly remotely, visiting the London office once a month on a flexible basis.  If you prefer to be office based, that is also possible.  You will work with other advisors so that you can support each other, and increase your learning.  The role also home working for the remainder of the week, enabling great flexibility.

The role will see you managing multiple referrals at any one time.  Your comfort in moving at pace from one conversation to another, whilst ensuring that the information that you provide is correct and fully understood will be key.  You will also be learning which cases to refer to other areas and will not be owning casework.  There is great training in place, and the right candidate will be fully supported in getting up to speed in this hugely impactful role.

About the role

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will use your skills and knowledge to support residents with mental health challenges, complex needs, and will provide specialist occupational therapy as part of their recovery. This is a great opportunity to shape your own role, alongside a team of Positive Engagement Workers, a Dual Diagnosis Worker, and Clinical Psychologist, whilst working closely with the Group Psychological Lead and other external partnerships. You will receive regular supervisions and have time with an external Occupational Therapist. 

You will:

• Deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills
• Be proactive with planning and delivering meaningful activities; this includes one to one and group sessions
• Work closely with clinical teams to meet people where they are, assess their situation, and write recommendations and signposting accordingly
• Assess their current situation through holistic assessments and put plans in place for them to overcome their personal barriers, to enable them for independent living and stability
• Provide psychologically informed interventions in a person-centred approach, flexibly to the resident needs
• Complete various assessments from function to task related to help empower enhanced community and personal engagement
• Set SMART goals in a collaborative way with residents, taking into account all information present from various team members and partner agencies.  

About you

We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.

What we look for:

• Ability to provide specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment for residents/participants.
• Willingness to work in adherence to Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Consultation Observation Tool (COT) and other practice guidelines.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the team as an Events Officer, reporting directly to the Events Manager. You will support participants who have their own place in challenge events such as runs, walks and cycles as well as other third-party organised events.

Main duties will include:

• Providing effective support to the events team, contributing towards the ambitious five-year Community and Events team strategy.
• Carrying out research, updating event collateral and supporting the team with event organisation and delivery including on-the-day support.
• Providing engaging stewardship to event participants and lapsed supporters.
• Recruiting participants and delivering excellent stewardship for a variety of third-party challenge events, including skydives, walks, cycle rides and runs whilst meeting set income targets.  

The Person

We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a customer service or client facing role. You must be confident with excellent attention to detail. We are also looking for a team player, who is experienced in working to targets and committed to delivering results. You will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, and be organised working on your own initiative. While experience in an events fundraising role would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with events management experience and a sound knowledge of fundraising looking to develop a career in the charity sector.

Please note that this role will involve attending events in the evenings and weekends. You will be required to have a full UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle.

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.

You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families

• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team

• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services

• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people

• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one

• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area

• First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
