Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is actively recruiting for the position of ‘Direct Marketing Manager’ to join its award-winning and established team. The role is to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.

The Direct Marketing Manager has operational and strategic responsibility in developing and implementing the Islamic Relief UK direct marketing programme. This includes the following key direct marketing channels: Email, SMS, Direct Mail, OOH and DRTV. The postholder will ensure the delivery of cross-channel, high profile and impactful marketing campaigns that drive action and improve supporter retention.

Knowledge, skills and attributes required:

• Educated to Degree level, or equivalent standard
• Professional qualification in Marketing
• Ability to communicate technical information and requirements to non-technical management and internal stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Commercially aware with good understanding of budget management and ROI
• An aptitude to plan annually, multiple campaigns and activities

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

The next few years will be critical in determining what kind of world we all live in. We need to urgently reverse the loss of wildlife and put nature into recovery at scale if we are to prevent climate and ecological disaster. We recognise that this will require big, bold changes in the way The Wildlife Trusts work, not least in how we mobilise others and support them to organise within their own communities. 

The Landscape Recovery team was set up as a response to the urgency of the inextricably linked nature and climate emergencies. The purpose of this team is to encourage and facilitate cross-Wildlife Trust action on landscape scale recovery, inject the rewilding approaches into the work of the Wildlife Trusts, coordinate land management activities where scale-economies are clear and to substantially increase funding for nature’s recovery across the Wildlife Trusts. The team is developing a range of programmes where RSWT acts as a ‘collective vehicle’ for groups of Trusts. For example, RSWT is leading a programme of peatland restoration through the Precious Peatlands project. Opportunities for such programmes are increasing – the UK is at a tipping point where either wildlife continues to decline or we finally grasp the opportunities of nature’s recovery. 

About You 

Working closely with colleagues at the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts and with Local Wildlife Trusts, the Land Management Practice Officer will support The Wildlife Trusts Nature Reserves community of practice. This role will focus primarily, in the first instance, on supporting local Wildlife Trusts to reduce their pesticide use. 

The post will help Trusts develop and share knowledge, skills and capacity in the realm of pesticide use reduction and, where possible, also across other aspects of land management. This work will support Goal 1 – Nature’s Recovery – of the Wildlife Trusts’ Strategy 2030. 

You will be a highly organised, collaborative, and an experienced individual adept at managing customer focussed relationships. You will understand the needs of the Wildlife Trusts and the context in which they operate. You will be an excellent communicator – proficient at running meetings, organising information and putting together reports.

As Business Development Manager for our Community Services will focus and lead on:

· Analysing and unlocking opportunities for new business

You will be responsible for identifying and building partnerships with NHS Trusts, Audiology Departments and ICBs to secure funding and expand our RNID Near You services across the UK. You’ll work closely with internal teams to develop business cases, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure the successful launch of new RNID Near You contracts.  

What you'll be doing 

· Identify and build relationships with potential funders such as NHS Foundation Trusts, Audiology Departments, and ICBs to support service expansion.

· Collaborate with the Bids and Tender Manager to secure funding and develop compelling business cases for new RNID Near You services.

· Implement business development plans in partnership with Heads of Operations, supporting various workstreams and projects.

· Analyse and evaluate new service opportunities, contributing to a pipeline of potential contracts and making strategic recommendations.

· Ensure delivery of growth targets, including the opening of at least four new service contracts per financial year in line with RNID’s multi-year plan.

RNID Near You is our national community-based service run by trained volunteers which offers:

· a hearing check and information on how to book a full hearing test.

· basic hearing aid repairs, cleaning, and advice on using hearing aids.

· information on hearing aids, hearing loss, tinnitus, and related issues, including emotional and practical peer support from volunteers with lived experience.

Summary of role: The Project Manager will play a central role in shaping and configuring the individual projects that will form the core of our Delivery Phase funding application.
