Job Title: Senior Grant-making Officer

Salary: £34,000–40,000

GiveOut is an award-winning international LGBTQI community foundation bringing together our community and allies to support LGBTQI activism worldwide.

Across the world, courageous activists are working tirelessly to protect LGBTQI communities and advance equality. But they lack resources and funding is fragile, especially in the Global South. LGBTQI groups receive a tiny fraction of international development aid.

GiveOut exists to bridge this gap. About the Role

Grant-making is central to GiveOut’s mission of growing giving to support LGBTQI human rights activism globally. As Senior Grant-Making Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our grant-making programme, ensuring we effectively channel resources to LGBTQI activist organisations worldwide.

Bringing a passion for and knowledge of international LGBTQI human rights, you will have the opportunity to deepen your skills in grant-making, gain insights into LGBTQI human rights movements worldwide, and build meaningful relationships with LGBTQI activists and organisations across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sector Expertise and Insights

  • Stay informed about developments in the LGBTQI movement and global LGBTQI rights.

  • Undertake occasional international travel to strengthen relationships and deepen understanding of partner activities.

• Donor and Grant Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with grant partners through regular communication and engagement.

  • Capture and share evidence and success stories from grant partners to engage and inspire GiveOut’s supporters.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to feed grant-making insights into impact reports and donor communications.

  • Represent GiveOut’s grant-making programme externally at events, including occasional evening engagements.

  • Coordinate logistics for grant partner engagements, including developing itineraries, supporting travel arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication with donors and other stakeholders.

• Grant-Making Strategy and Programme Implementation

  • Help shape the design and execution of GiveOut’s grant-making programme 

  • Ensure GiveOut’s Grant-Making Policy and guidance remain up to date with best practices in grant-making and is responsive to the needs of the global LGBTQI movement.

  • Work with the Grant-Making Advisory Panel (GMAP) to identify and assess new grant partners, and coordinate annual GMAP meetings.

• Grant Portfolio Development and Management

  • Develop an annual portfolio of grants, balancing renewals and new partnerships, and collaborate with the Executive Director to present to the Board for approval.

  • Conduct due diligence on grant partners, draft grant agreements, and manage payment processes.

  • Monitor and evaluate partnerships, coordinating narrative and financial reporting to track progress and impact.

  • Maintain and update the grant partner database to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in grant-making or a related field such as social impact and development work, research and policy advocacy or program funding and administration within NGOs, government, charities or foundations.

• Knowledge of global developments in LGBTQI rights and advocacy.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College coordinator to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will work closely with the Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing Manager to develop a high quality college offer to the residents of Bromley. The role comes with the responsibility to provide day to day support and guidance to a team of tutors and volunteer co-facilitators to ensure efficient delivery of the college.

You will have experience of working in a busy fast-paced environment. Working autonomously but also as part of a team is key, as are problem solving and excellent organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is also required. You will work closely with other SEL Mind colleagues as well as our Bromley Mental Health Hub partners Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Hybrid working is considered in line with our policies and needs of the service. Occasional out-of-hours work is required to support with the delivery of courses running outside of core office hours.

Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. The postholder will take a lead role in researching and applying to smaller trusts and foundations, while contributing to the development of larger funding proposals as needed. They will also support the coordination of fundraising campaigns and events, maintain the prospect pipeline, and identify new fundraising opportunities. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, this role contributes to the effective functioning of the fundraising team and plays an important part in fostering a collaborative, impact-driven organisational culture.

KEY AREAS:

- FUNDRAISING (80% of time)
Trusts & Foundations and Prospect Research

• Lead on the development and submission of applications to smaller trusts and foundations (up to £25,000), including drafting proposals, tracking deadlines, and updating the pipeline.
• Maintain and update the pipeline of prospective donors across income streams (trusts, corporates, government, and institutions).
• Conduct desk research into comparable organisations, donor trends, and partnership opportunities.

Appeals & Campaigns

• Support the coordination of Vision Action’s seasonal and thematic fundraising appeals (e.g. World Sight Day, Christmas, Summer).
• Lead on the planning and delivery of smaller appeals, including supporter follow-up, donor profiling, and managing campaign logistics.
• Log donor information and engagement history accurately in Donorfy CRM.
• Support the development of appeal-related materials in collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Officer.

Events & Community Fundraising

• Support the planning, recruitment, and delivery of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and other sporting and challenge events.
• Provide guidance and logistical support to individuals, volunteers, schools, and community groups running their own fundraising events.
• Represent Vision Action at relevant fundraising and community events, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.

Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management

• Support the stewardship and cultivation of individual donors, sponsors, and prospects through phone, email, and written communication.
• Assist in developing supporter journeys for regular givers and community fundraisers.
• Process thank you letters and acknowledgements using Donorfy.
• Manage day-to-day donor enquiries via the fundraising inbox and phone line, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising data using Donorfy CRM.
• Produce donor and campaign performance reports as required.
• Support with administrative tasks related to fundraising compliance, filing, and data security.

- COMMUNICATION SUPPORT (20% of time)
Digital Media Marketing and Engagement

• Support efforts to grow Vision Action’s digital presence by creating engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling aligned with our mission.
• Support membership relationship stewardship by developing regular updates, thank-you messages, and creative engagement campaigns to nurture and retain supporters.
• Assist in the design and production of quarterly progress reports, collaborating with colleagues across Vision Action to curate stories, impact data, and visuals that resonate with donors and partners.
• Update and maintain website content to ensure it remains current, accurate, and reflective of organisational priorities, campaigns, and news.
• Attend relevant internal and external events or meetings to capture content, live-post updates, and strengthen Vision Action’s online visibility and supporter engagement.

Administrative Support and Organisational Culture

• Provide targeted administrative support to the Fundraising & Communications team, including managing the Fundraising inbox, logging and responding to supporter enquiries, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Help maintain well-organised digital filing systems (e.g. SharePoint) for communications assets, membership materials, and donor stewardship documents.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives by contributing communications materials and ensuring alignment of messaging across teams.
• Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive working culture, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to team meetings and organisational activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This is a varied and forward-facing role within a small and busy team. You will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to engage with supporters, donors, and colleagues. You will be comfortable working independently on routine tasks while also contributing creatively to campaigns and events.

Essential

• At least 3 years of experience in a fundraising, administration, or supporter-facing role
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Confident written skills, with experience drafting letters, emails, or fundraising materials
• Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and confidence working across digital platforms
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
• Understanding of or interest in trust and foundation fundraising

About the role:

The postholder will support the delivery of a specialist domestic abuse (DA) project in partnership with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) in the London borough of Brent. The role aims to raise awareness and promote best practice in responding to domestic abuse across CLCH staff, improving support for patients impacted by domestic abuse. This will involve delivering training, workshops, and guidance to health professionals, providing consultancy on embedding DA response pathways, and helping CLCH navigate referrals to local domestic abuse support agencies. The role combines professional training, advocacy, and systems change to strengthen the health sector’s response to domestic abuse. The postholder will work across the Brent borough, attending community hubs and co-locating to deliver services when needed.

The postholder may be approached by staff seeking advice or consultation regarding male victims of domestic abuse. While the role’s primary focus remains on supporting women, the postholder will be open to supporting male victims through appropriate signposting and referral guidance. They will also be willing to undertake relevant training (e.g. Respect toolkit) to ensure inclusive and informed responses. Training will be provided.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Advisor & Trainer you will need the below experience and skills:

• A thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.
• Experience in designing, delivering, and promoting engaging training and learning sessions on domestic abuse, tailored to professionals and stakeholders across a variety of settings.
• Experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders as well as experience of working within in multi-agency environment.
• Ability to provide consultancy and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on domestic abuse-related issues, offering informed advice and support.

We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic and articulate professional fundraiser to drive forward our emerging major donor programme. Working alongside senior Laureus staff and stakeholders to connect, cultivate and steward high net worth individuals around the work of the Foundation, the post holder will be expected to design and support the execution of a range of high-quality events leaning on the excellent brand profile assets at Laureus’ disposal.

Experience of creating bespoke donor journeys, delivering long term engagement and an understanding or experience of the third sector will enable success in this fast-paced and varied role.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate all HNW activity ensuring that:

• Encouragement and support of HNW supporters to create their own activities to raise funds and/or broaden the network of Laureus donors

• Provide first class stewardship to the International Council/Friends of Laureus group of HNW supporters whilst also exploring if other products or partnerships might offer attractive benefits to donors

• Work with programme colleagues to create opportunities for programme visits open to key donors – either in the UK or internationally, whilst also extracting key programme asks for funding

• Work with talent team colleagues to create engagement opportunities with Laureus Academy Members and Ambassadors that support HNW engagement and stewardship

• Use sector knowledge and insight to keep on top of best practice around HNW donor engagement, cultivation and stewardship

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Proven track record of successful fundraising experience
• Experience of building long-term, trust-based relationships with HNWI

We’re looking for an experienced Communications and Campaigns Officer to join a busy multidisciplinary communications team. You’ll play a key role in shaping and actioning our approach to communications and campaigns both internally and externally.

We are currently looking for an Academic Training and Development Lead at the Francis Crick Institute. In this role you’ll work alongside the Head of Academic Programmes, to design and deliver innovative, inclusive training programmes for our PhD students and postdocs, supporting the next generation of scientific leaders. Leading a small team, you will work closely with colleagues across the Crick and our university partners to ensure our training offer reflects the evolving needs of interdisciplinary research.

From launching new frameworks to enhancing existing programmes, your work will directly support a positive and forward-thinking research culture. This role is ideal for someone with a strong scientific background, experience in researcher development, and a genuine commitment to empowering early-career scientists.

What you will be doing

• Provide support to the Head of Academic Programmes to deliver the Crick PhD and Postdoc programmes
• Design and implement, alongside the Academic Training and Career Development Project Manager, a new Crick Postdoc Development Framework
• Lead, develop, motivate and performance manage the Academic Training and Career Development Project Manager to deliver their objectives
• Identify and consider the development of new science training and researcher development programmes for Crick PhD students and postdocs
• Evaluate Crick science training activities, refining to ensure that they are effective, current and support cutting edge research
• Ensure effective communication and consultation at relevant committees (e.g. Training & Career Development Committee, Postdoc Committee, PhD student committee)
• Scoping and investigating training and development activities provided by the Crick’s partners and other institutions, to identify opportunities for collaboration
• Lead on projects and work with the broader academic training team, the Crick Academy team and the People team, in other areas as required
• Lead on the continuous delivery of Vitae’s Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers at the Crick

What you will bring

(Minimum criteria *)

• Experience of working at a senior level in a dynamic scientific environment and higher education/research setting*
• Proven advanced skills in facilitation and/or teaching in a research or academic setting*
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the management, training and development of staff in research and technology groups, preferably through experience
• Educated to PhD level and with post-PhD experience in a science discipline, or relevant, significant experience*
• Experience in leading the design and successful delivery of scientific training and development activities*
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of academic and professional colleagues
• Proven ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders across a complex organisation.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school. 

Key Objectives for this Role

Working with the Lead Youth Worker you will: 

Homework Clubs

•Collect up to date consent information for all young people joining Future Foundations

•Support with creating session plans for club nights

•Research and source necessary resources activities 

•Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for the young people

•Use participatory methods to involve young people about Clubs 

•Ensure children’s participation and encourage ownership of and responsibility for the Clubs

•Implement our behaviour management policy

•Liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding Clubs and Mentoring

•Support with maintaining robust recording and monitoring systems (including registers) and ensure quotes, case studies and feedback are saved and stored

•Maintain, collect, edit and store documentation of activities, including photos, case studies and videos, for Newsletters, funding reports and other records

•Support whole team with making referrals to external partners and support agencies

The Assistant will play a key role in ISEAL´s team, providing assistance to two managers to ensure efficient administration of their respective work areas - membership and operations. In the operations team, the successful candidate will get involved in the processes of running an international not for profit organisation, while also supporting the membership team in high quality member communications and data management.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be well-organised with great attention to detail and an excellent ability to follow up agreed tasks. Working efficiently and reliably under direction, you have a friendly and professional demeanour and are comfortable in your communications and interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders. The key responsibilities we entrust you with

Operations Support

• Guide and assist ISEAL staff in using software tools effectively by leading inductions, writing guidance, sharing best practice, providing training and trouble-shooting issues that arise
• Manage IT equipment and liaise with external IT support
• Facilitate internal communications by supporting regular and ad hoc staff meetings
• Work closely with Senior Manager Operations on improvement projects, including leading smaller projects
• Assist in promoting best practice in use of IT, communications and knowledge management systems across the organisation and suggest and help implement improvements
• Support management of ISEAL’s office space in London, including liaising with landlord and ensuring office works well for staff
• Lead on procurement of items needed for smooth running of office, for staff leading events and equipment for staff home offices

Member communications

• Gather and prepare content for member mailings, including our monthly member-only newsletter, the ISEAL Insider
• Maintain the internal Mailchimp schedule, liaising with staff in the Communications team to plan and schedule mailings effectively
• Support other ISEAL teams to communicate appropriately with members through our different channels and mailing lists, checking for adherence to brand guidelines
• Support the Membership Coordinator and Membership Manager with drafting blogs, news items, and group posts to share updates with members via the ISEAL Platform
• With the Membership Coordinator, regularly review content on the ISEAL Platform to ensure it remains accurate and up to date, liaising with other teams where necessary

Monitoring our membership programme

• Regularly collect data to help monitor our member communications, engagement with member-only events, and use of the ISEAL Platform
• Create and update quarterly reports and dashboards to help identify and communicate key trends and inform improvements
• Support the Membership Manager with the preparation of quarterly and annual engagement reports to send to members
• Deliver administrative processes that underpin member relationship management and track member engagement, including maintenance of member records within Salesforce

Other

• Provide occasional support for member-only Zoom webinars and at in-person events

Experience, Knowledge and Attributes

• Experience working or interning in a support/administrative or customer service/communications role, ideally in international NGO, professional or membership organisation
