Location

We all work from home, however travel and overnight stays are required as part of the role.  You'll attend around three symposia a year, which usually run from Mondays to Thursdays and are currently held in the Lake District.  You'll also attend up to three half-day meetings in London a year, which may require overnight stays depending on how far away from London you live.  The biennial prizegiving ceremony is also held in London. It would be helpful if you had a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. You will work alongside a team of dedicated counsellors within a stepped care model to provide initial assessments and a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for common mental health problems, including one-to-one work and the potential for groupwork.

You will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate (or be near to qualification with all elements of the course successfully passed/on track to qualify on time).

The Culturally Appropriate Advocacy Service provides Advocacy for racially minoritised people (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people) in Greater Manchester who are being treated in a psychiatric inpatient site or who are at risk of detention under the Mental Health Act.

We aim to address racial disparities experienced in mental health care through Advocacy. We know that people from racially minoritised backgrounds are more likely to be detained under the Mental Health Act and experience worse outcomes when accessing care. Our Advocates work in partnership with the people they support and take their side. We promote social inclusion and social justice through Advocacy.

We want to proactively support our Advocate team and are introducing independent group supervisions based on the feedback from our Advocates. The Group Supervision Facilitator will facilitate monthly 1.5-hour group supervision sessions for a team of Culturally Appropriate Independent Advocates.

We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead on the charity's finances and accounts.

The Head of Finance has lead responsibility for overseeing the finance function of the organisation.  The role reports directly to the Chief Executive, is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and works closely with the Board of Trustees and in particular with the Treasurer.  The post holder also has responsibility for the line management of the Finance Officer and the Feeding Service Administrator (Finance Team).

Working with SMT colleagues, this role leads on all financial reporting and analysis to the team and to the Trustee Board and Finance Committee, the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.

The Head of Finance leads the annual audit and preparation of the annual report and accounts working closely with the Chief Executive, Treasurer and Chair of Trustees. Signalise is a platform co-op providing British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join our dynamic and supportive team. You will work closely with our Communication Services Team Leader to provide a high quality and efficient service, helping the business to achieve agreed targets whilst working to the co-operative’s ethos.

Responsibilities will include coordinating the provision of communication professionals for Deaf/Hard of Hearing people across the North West for medical (including mental health) appointments and for other work in a variety of sectors (education, child protection, conference, employment,  legal settings etc). Accepting and making calls. Dealing with bookings and general enquiries in a fast-paced environment. Supporting marketing and business development and communicating to members and external stakeholders. Supporting other staff where necessary.

Training Officer to prepare, coordinate and deliver highly engaging and scenario-based training for emergency response staff

The overall aim of all Register Preparation Training is to ensure that the professionals who deliver UK-Med’s responses are well prepared, know what to expect, and deliver the best possible responses resulting in positive health outcomes for the patients and communities we serve.

The Training Officer plays an essential role in ensuring that UK-Med delivers high-quality Preparation Training to our global workforce, which consists of both Core Staff and a Register of approx. 1200 healthcare professionals from all over the world. The Training Officer works closely with the Programme Manager – Training and Learning Design Specialist on preparing, coordinating and delivering highly interactive in-person simulation exercises, scenario-based tabletop exercises, and online exercises, training sessions and workshops from UK-Med’s training portfolio, and in contributing actively to learning and improvement for all training.

The Training Officer is a skilled trainer with a particular interest and/ or experience in delivering simulation-based training, adventure/ outdoor education, etc., weaving practical skills-building into scenarios which are evolving in real time. Furthermore, the Training Officer is accomplished in ensuring that all practical preparation and coordination of training activities is handled in a timely and expert manner in close collaboration with colleagues, to ensure a professional learning experience for participants and faculty members.

WomenMATTA delivers innovative services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one practical and emotional support, advocacy, and group work.

This post is two-fold; the post holder will provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of complex cases, in addition to supporting the WomenMATTA Programme Manager with the operational management of the Programme, including the the coordination of the ‘Women’s Hubs’. The post holder will manage direct reports who operate as frontline staff across Manchester and Trafford.

1. Support with the operational management of the WomenMATTA Programme ensuring high quality, trauma responsive services are delivered to women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
2. Provide effective leadership to the WomenMATTA team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
3. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to a caseload of women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system.
4. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker – All risk to join our team in Stockport. You will undertake individual sessions and group work with people who are causing harm in their relationships and are seeking support to change their abusive behaviours.

The role

In this role you will work with those who cause harm, to undertake individual sessions and group work with men and women whose behaviours identify as harmful. To liaise with referring agencies, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. This role will include working with clients through individual programme delivery as well as group work. To work alongside colleagues in Stockport through the local DATAC multi agency risk management approach working with 1-1 with perpetrators of domestic abuse, through delivery of a tailored intervention to support the reduction of risk to victim- survivors and families. Are you someone who understands the impact that domestic abuse has on individuals, families, and wider society and want that to change? Are you motivated to support people who use harmful behaviours in their relationships and to be part of a team dedicated to improving the experiences of all those impacted by domestic abuse. We are looking for someone who can manage dynamics within group or one-on-one situations and who can model pro-social behaviours and not be afraid to address and challenge those who are using harmful behaviours in their relationships.
