Join our dynamic and supportive team as a Deputy Manager in the Rough Sleeping Team, where you will play a pivotal role in tackling homelessness and supporting people who are experiencing rough sleeping to rebuild their lives. This is a unique opportunity to work with a forward-thinking local authority and a committed group of partners to bring about meaningful change in one of London’s most diverse and vibrant boroughs.
THSORT’s structure compromises of a Service Manager, 2 Deputy Managers, 6 Outreach Workers (some with specialist lead roles), 2 Navigators, Complex Needs Worker and an Information and Referrals worker. We support people who are rough sleeping and/or living on the streets of Tower Hamlets borough.
Your duties
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for line-managing a dedicated team of outreach workers and navigators, ensuring they deliver high-quality services to individuals experiencing rough sleeping. Your leadership will be vital in driving operational effectiveness and supporting the team to engage with people who need help most.
You will work closely with local authority partners, statutory and voluntary services, and key stakeholders to ensure an integrated, person-centred approach to tackling rough sleeping. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of service strategies, bringing your expertise to enhance the partnership working ethos that is key to Tower Hamlets’ approach.
Your role will be essential in providing strategic oversight, offering guidance, and ensuring that your team operates in a safe, effective, and compassionate manner.
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Flexibility might be required at times to work outside these hours)

JOB TITLE: National Fundraising Manager
LOCATION: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Headquarters – based with regular travel across designated UK regions (including regular overnight stays).

Job Purpose
To lead and manage regional fundraising initiatives around the UK, developing relationships with volunteers, donors, and community groups to maximise income generation and awareness. This role requires a combination of strategic oversight, operational support and hands-on engagement with volunteers and supporters across multiple regions. Ideally the National Fundraising Manager will be present at the charity’s office 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the time dedicated to travel across the UK in support of our extensive volunteer family.
Key responsibilities
Fundraising development
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities for national fundraising.
- Support volunteers with fundraising ideas, materials, and advice.
- Lead and manage the delivery of national fundraising events, from planning through to execution, ensuring they meet financial and engagement goals.
- Drive income from corporate fundraising in close collaboration with the Corporate Partnerships Manager
Volunteer and supporter engagement
- Visit volunteers and fundraising groups in designated regions across the UK to provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key supporters and community groups to maximise fundraising opportunities.
- Deliver presentations and attend events to raise awareness about the charity’s mission.
- Ensure all regional volunteer groups are equipped with the tools, resources, and motivation to fundraise effectively.
Administration and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and volunteer interactions.
- Provide regular updates and reports on regional fundraising performance.
- Monitor budgets for regional activities to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Person Specification
Experience
- 2 years minimum community fundraising experience or fast paced, target driven field sales environment with demonstrable transferrable skills.
- Experience working with, supporting, and managing volunteers, including providing guidance and fostering a positive and motivated team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering fundraising events, both small and large-scale, with a focus on community engagement.
- Experience in developing and nurturing relationships with donors, supporters, and community groups, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
- Strong background in administrative tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and using CRM systems to track donations and supporter engagement.
- Experience in a role that requires travel across a wide geographic area, with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Proven success in working towards and achieving fundraising targets, with a focus on both short-term and long-term objectives.

- Strong understanding of regional and community-based fundraising principles and practices.

This year we launch a new three-year programme to achieve one of those key aims – raising the status of the early education profession, and we need a Campaign & Programme Manager to help us drive that work.
About the role

Hours: 30 hours (4 days per week). Some out-of-hours work may be required for which TOIL will be given.

Salary: £48,000 per annum FTE (£38,400 pro-rata)
Although we work remotely with a team that is spread nationwide, this role does require someone based in or close to London in order to deliver our Westminster programme of activities.
We work flexibly and it won’t come as a surprise to you that we understand the challenge of caring commitments. We trust you to manage your time, but we do expect that most of your hours are worked during standard office hours so that we can collaborate as a team and engage with our coalition partners. Our core working day is a Thursday. As a fully remote team this helps us to stay in touch and connect.
This role is initially offered on a two-year fixed term basis which we expect to renew in line with funding and is offered at four days per week. If you have a preferred working pattern, please speak to us and we would be happy to see if we can make it work.
The Coalition has experienced significant growth over the last two years and with early years firmly on the political agenda, we expect this to continue. Our hope is that this role will evolve and the successful candidate will continue to progress within this growing and impactful organisation.
For the last two years, the Coalition has been incubated by the Women’s Budget Group, the UK’s leading feminist economic think tank. Our growth means that we are now ready to spin out into a separate and independent legal entity. That means that your employment contract will initially be with WBG on behalf of the Coalition but will then transfer across to the newly constituted organisation. This won’t change your role, your terms or your pay, but we want to tell you now. We are happy to answer questions at interview about that.
What you can expect to be doing

Whilst the coalition currently has almost 40 core member organisations who shape our policy and lead on our shared campaigns, we are looking to grow our network of supporter organisations – these are partners who share our belief in the value of early education and childcare even if they do not work directly in early years policy. The Campaign & Programme Manager will lead a new project to identify, onboard, engage and grow this supporter network, ensuring they remain up to date with the latest research produced by the Coalition and its partners.

Managing the progress of this exciting yet complex programme, ensuring research partners are staying connected and all programme outputs feed into our overarching aims. This will include coordinating update meetings for programme partners and ensuring that we stay on track and meet our aims.

With the support of the Head of Advocacy and our external comms partner, develop a new narrative to raise the profile of the early education workforce and deliver a series of campaign moments across paid, earned and owned media to support this work.

Deliver ongoing comms and campaign projects designed to grow the coalition’s profile across a range of stakeholders.

Analyse and scope political developments related to the early education and childcare workforce, identifying opportunities to engage and influence.

Support the organisation of Coalition in person and online events.

Engage collaboratively with Coalition members to coordinate and amplify their collective and individual voices and work.

Support with the creation, writing and publication of communication materials including blogs, case studies, press releases and research reports.

Work with our research partners to drive the aims of the programme.
About you
You will be creative, resourceful and highly effective at building relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Above all else, you’ll be as passionate as our members about the opportunity that the early years holds for children, families and wider society.
You will play a pivotal role in driving the aims of our new programme, with responsibility for ensuring all elements of this complex programme are working in unison. You'll also be delivering campaign moments that raise the status of early educators while amplifying our emerging research from this programme, and activating new messaging and narratives.
With the support of our Head of Advocacy & Communications, you will grow our network of supporters, securing the backing of organisations from across civil society, the business community and the public sector for our shared aims.
Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of the challenges facing the sector and a good understanding of key influencers in this space including think tanks, MPs and journalists.
You will be a confident communicator with strong writing skills and an eye for detail. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a small team where we all muck-in and benefit from each other’s skills.

We're hiring a Deputy Service Manager to join our service in Luton. You will be based across two locations, one which is a residential project, providing accommodation to homeless families with support needs including expectant mothers, mothers with up to two children under the age of 10, or single women aiming to have guardianship of their children. The other service provides temporary accommodation to single homeless males who have various support needs which could include mental health, substance misuse, and offending history.
You will be based across both services, providing overall leadership and management of your service projects and teams who deliver high quality, trauma informed support to residents. Your role will ensure full contract and regulatory compliance, being a role model and leader for your team to achieve service KPI's and other requirements for the service.

Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, and can support the team in delivering excellence. The role includes:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service

Battersea's Global Programmes Department is looking for a Grants and Programmes Manager to manage the delivery of a portfolio of work within the Grants and Programmes function. This is an exciting time for Battersea as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. The Tree Equity for Hartlepool project marks the first town-wide approach in the UK to address low Tree Equity scores across an entire urban area. Working with Hartlepool Borough Council, Trees on Tees Community Forest, The Woodland Trust, Thirteen Group housing association and Treeconomics, this partnership brings together major local landowners alongside national tree specialists to deliver a programme of work over two years - and is seeking a Project Community Coordinator to drive the work forward.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Project Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for bridging this flagship work to the community and connecting residents in Hartlepool with their urban forest. This will include leading engagement activities with residents across the town, aiming to inspire residents to plant, protect and promote urban trees. You will lead outreach and volunteer activities, working closely with project partners to coordinate and deliver tree planting and educational workshops, public tree planting events and other activities.
The role will involve a mix of office-based and outdoor work and requires a confident, well-organised and friendly individual who can both confidently lead workshops and act as a spokesperson for the charity and urban forestry with the local community. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, and this will be key to success, ensuring the project gets the results the community needs.
You will work under the steer of the Project Manager and be the face of both the project and Trees for Cities in the local and Tees Valley area.
As Trees for Cities looks ahead to its next strategic period, this project is a key flagship piece of work, and the role will be required to represent the partnership and associated work being done. In delivering a successful project, the case will be made for addressing low Tree Equity scores at the local and national level, influencing decision makers to best support urban forestry.

Role summary
As Senior Manager for Humberside Women’s Centres you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our centres and contract delivery in Humberside. Working closely with the Director of Services and supported by a senior key worker your focus will be on providing high quality, trauma-responsive support to women with experience of, or at risk of entering the criminal justice system.
You will lead on managing and delivering our contracts across Humberside to ensure our operational and strategic objectives are met. You will also focus on building excellent relationships with funders and key partners and identifying new partnership and advocacy opportunities.
Supported by a Senior Key Worker, your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day management of our Women's Centres and contract delivery partners across various locations, including our Hull Women’s Centre, our Hubs in Goole, Beverley, and Bridlington, as well as partnerships in Grimsby and Scunthorpe.
Managing a team of Key Workers, you will be responsible for ensuring women and girls receive an exceptional service from within a safe, trauma-responsive, women-only spaces. Working alongside our statutory and non-statutory partners in Criminal Justice and Health and Social Care, you will ensure the continued strategic development of the Women’s Centre and represent Together Women at local and regional level.
Your responsibilities will also include identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, and ensuring the continuity of existing services through effective contract management.
