The Role

Join a co-operative providing British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters and developing tech to support to users. The co-operative is co-run and co-owned by its members, who are Deaf people and BSL interpreters. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Operations Team Leader to provide a high quality and efficient service, helping the business to achieve agreed targets whilst working to the co-operative’s ethos. 

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the provision of communication professionals for Deaf/Hard of Hearing people across for medical (including mental health) appointments and for other work in a variety of sectors (education, child protection, conference, employment, legal settings etc)
• Accepting and making calls
• Dealing with bookings and general enquiries in a fast-paced environment
• Supporting marketing and business development and communicating to members and external stakeholders
• Supporting other staff where necessary

The position is grounded in the co-operative’s ethos, ensuring financial processes align with the organisation’s values and strategic objectives. The co-operative is co-run and co-owned by its members, who are Deaf people and communication professionals. As an employee, you can become a worker member and have a say in how the business is run.

About You

You will have excellent customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role. With strong organisational skills and attention to detail, you will have the ability to meet strict deadlines, follow contractual service levels and prioritise your time effectively.

• Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Word, Excel, Databases with the ability to learn how to use dashboards and other applications
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to follow processes and develop these where needed

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Developing and leading business planning processes and activities

• Leading our annual and multi-year business planning processes, ensuring strong alignment to our 2030 strategy and strategic pillars.

Leading governance, risk management and business continuity

About the Project

Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver support in the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) at Lister Hospital.

The MHUCC provides a dedicated space and service for rapid mental health assessment, intervention, and referral, thereby enhancing the quality of care and optimising use of systemwide resources. It provides 24-hour access to specialist mental health assessment aimed at supporting service users to access the least restrictive care and treatment options. It creates a systemwide response to acute mental health crisis that enables people’s needs to be met with the right care at the right time.

About the Role:

The Support, Time and Recovery (STAR) Worker will be based at the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre at Lister Hospital, promoting joint working and creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.

The STAR workers will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in the MHUCC, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.

You will have a key role with safe and supportive observations and attending to the service users on the unit. You will provide support for carers and liaise with the wider services to support smooth and timely discharge of service users back to the community.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide a consistent presence in the MHUCC for individuals with mental health needs to access for support.
• To advocate for service users, explaining organisations and pathways.
• To provide immediate information and advice about managing wellbeing, reducing risk and onward signposting and referral into wider HMN services and VCFSE organisations.
• To facilitate a clear and easily accessible pathway into the wider Nightlight Crisis Alternative services for individuals, to support timely MHUCC discharge, as an alternative to statutory crisis intervention, or as a supplement to wider care and treatment plans.
• To gather feedback and evaluation on patient experience in the MHUCC
• To develop sound and extensive knowledge of local resources to support in enabling appropriate referrals where necessary.
• To link in with wider Herts Mind Network services and facilitate referrals
• To ensure that a collaborative approach is used, with effective communication links developed with external professional NHS services and to work as an effective member of any multi-disciplinary team. This will require stringent relationships.
• To support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

Hours: 4 days 9.00am-5.00pm, 1 day 11.00am – 7.00pm
Contract: Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2026
Salary: £27,113.00 per annum
Salary Scale Point: 15 (April 2025)
Location: Based in our Cambridge office with hybrid working option and some travel across South and East Cambridgeshire.

About the Role and the Project

WorkWell is an exciting project that supports people across Cambridge City, East Cambs and South Cambs in either getting back to work or to enable them to thrive at work.

A WorkWell Coach is responsible for providing personalised support and guidance to individuals with disabilities or health barriers, helping them to enter, return to, or stay in employment.

The role involves assessing individual needs through a ‘What Matters to You’ conversation, developing personalised Back to Work or Thrive at Work action plans, providing supporting as they move toward their goals.

Liaising with employers and stakeholders to facilitate successful employment outcomes. Work Well Coaches may attend multi agency meetings with or on behalf of individuals.

Digital Marketing Officer – £30,000–£35,000 – London/Hybrid – 3–6 month FTC

Our charity-sector client is looking for a talented Digital Marketing Officer to join their team on a fixed-term basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity to use your digital skills to grow audiences, increase engagement, and amplify the impact of a national charity.

The role
You’ll play a key role in delivering digital activity across social media, PPC, email, and web. From creating engaging content to reporting on campaign performance, you’ll ensure the charity’s digital presence is dynamic, consistent, and impactful.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day social media across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X)

• Grow following and engagement through inspiring, shareable content

• Provide live social coverage at key events

• Work with agencies to deliver paid social and PPC campaigns

• Plan, build, and send the monthly e-newsletter using Marketing Cloud

• Update and optimise website content (WordPress), supporting SEO activities

• Monitor, analyse, and report on performance using tools such as Sprout Social, Google Analytics, and Meta Insights

We’re looking for someone with:

• Hands-on experience across digital channels, ideally within the charity sector

• Strong copywriting and content creation skills

• Familiarity with email platforms (e.g. Marketing Cloud) and CMS (e.g. WordPress)

• Confidence using analytics tools to monitor performance and identify improvements

• A creative, organised, and proactive approach, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

• Basic design skills (e.g. Canva) would be a bonus

Contract: 3–6 month FTC, full-time
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 + benefits
Location: Hybrid, London (minimum 3 days/week in office)
Start date: ASAP
