Role Focus

Contract and Hours - Permanent, full-time, 36.25 hours per week. Role to commence from Summer 2026 onwards.

A typical working day is 9.15-5.30pm, including a lunch break (unpaid). We support flexible working and part-time arrangements where it is appropriate for the role.

We promote hybrid working with three days per week worked at our office and gallery for full-time staff, and two days per week office and gallery working for part-time staff.

Wednesday is a whole team office and gallery day when staff meetings take place.

Salary - £39,000 to £50,000 gross per annum, dependent on experience and based on full-time working (pro rata for part-time / annualised working).

Location - Crafts Council Office and Gallery is based on the Pentonville Road in Islington, London, with some hybrid / home working.

About the Role

As Programme Coordinator for Centres of Excellence, you’ll play a pivotal role in our flagship financial education accreditation programme, supporting schools to strengthen and embed high-quality financial education across their curriculum and their wider communities.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and colleagues across the charity, you will play a key role in ensuring our network of teachers feel confident, supported and inspired by:

· Supporting the planning and organisation of our annual teacher conferences and skills sharing webinars.

· Creating and coordinating programme marketing and communications. 

· Recording, monitoring and evaluating programme data.

· Providing high-level customer service to educators, stakeholders and YE colleagues.

 Key Responsibilities

· Work with the Programme Manager to support the smooth day‑to‑day coordination of the Centres of Excellence programme, helping to maintain systems and records that track participation, progress and engagement.

· Contribute to delivering a high‑quality experience for educators by supporting the organisation of the annual YE Teacher Conferences and our termly skills‑sharing webinars.

· Develop and coordinate clear, engaging programme communication, including newsletters, press releases, social media content and marketing materials, ensuring consistency of messaging across all channels.

· Keep track of programme activity by collecting, recording, monitoring and preparing data for reporting and insight.

· Build positive, professional relationships with schools, partner organisations, stakeholders and colleagues across Young Enterprise to support strong collaboration and programme delivery.

 A few practical things

• This is a hybrid role based in London, with a minimum of 8 office days per month.
• You’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the participating schools and colleges across the UK.

Primary location of role

This role is primarily based in our Glasgow office.  Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.   Regular travel will be required to meet supporters in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London or Sheffield offices.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate conservation professional to join the Trust and play a key role in the care and conservation of our outstanding churches, a fascinating and unique collection of highly listed historic buildings.

Overall job purpose

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on capital, conservation and maintenance programmes in East Anglia and beyond as required.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across a large geographical area, it is essential you have a full driving licence.

The Nuts and Bolts

Purpose of the job

The Education Programme at ELBA seeks to raise aspirations of young people, develop their business awareness, and support their employability competencies. Our work involves supporting secondary schools, colleges and universities, predominately through events bringing volunteers together from our corporate partners with local students to support the development of their employability skills and to raise aspirations. Working closely with ELBA’s corporate partners, the team engage students in various opportunities supporting Gatsby Benchmarks 5 & 6.

The role

This role will involve managing relationships with secondary schools, colleges, universities and ELBA corporate partner companies, providing vital support to coordinate and run events of varying scales throughout the academic year. This also includes supporting Mentoring Works, a programme that has been running since 1996 and connects Year 10 and Sixth Form/college students to volunteer business mentors working in the City and Canary Wharf. Taking the relationship lead for a number of our education institutions and corporate partners, the successful candidate will manage these relationships and ensure successful outcomes.

Job Description

Relationship Management

• Develop and manage strong relationships with education partners, this can include recruiting students for Mentoring Works and planning a calendar of events with Career Departments.
• Manage event requests from both education and corporate partners
• Run cross school projects throughout the year with multiple schools taking part
• Support the account management process of corporate partners by attending meetings with the wider account management team
• As a success indicator, consistently secure and maintain high satisfaction ratings from education and corporate partners, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders and volunteers.

Delivery

• Deliver projects and activities for educational institutions in line with the priorities and opportunities identified.
• Create and develop materials and resources, share best practice and design new programmes in line with changing priorities.
• Lead on development and delivery of group activities to support the Mentoring Works programme and feedback sessions with students
• Work proactively with CSR departments and other contacts within ELBA corporate partners to promote and enable delivery of projects/activities.
• Promote safety and wellbeing of students at all times and to follow ELBA’s safeguarding policies and have full regard of the policies of the schools and colleges engaged in ELBA programmes
• As a success indicator, ensure the execution of project milestones by consistently meeting or exceeding delivery timelines and stakeholder requirements.

Communication, reporting and evaluation

• All ELBA employees are required to use Salesforce as a record of activity. Training will be provided. Update Salesforce with all activity in line with agreed timescales, share updates with partners on activity.
• Support the Comms team as required
• Implement agreed evaluation and impact measurement tools for each project/activity
• Regularly write case studies, newsletter stories to showcase the impact of the education programme
• As a success indicator, produce comprehensive annual impact reports for partner schools, colleges, and universities, translating activity data into actionable insights that demonstrate programme value and success.

General

• Represent and act as an ELBA ambassador at meetings, social events and functions when required
• Attend ELBA team meetings, collaborate with other ELBA colleagues on projects where appropriate and contribute to the development of ELBA as an organisation
• Adhere to relevant policies including equal opportunities and health and safety

We are very excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Community Fund to help us support our most valued micro and small voluntary and community groups in Oxfordshire.

As the Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward this partnership initiative, working collaboratively with our delivery partners, with local stakeholders, community and voluntary sector groups, and our funder The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure that impact measurement and activity reporting is kept on track. You will work with two new SaM Community Development Workers, and with our partner organisation staff to develop a new outreach programme of infrastructure support shaped with and for the micro and small organisations across the county. You will develop a tailored action plan of outputs and outcomes with our Partnership Advisory Group and dovetail this with a pathway to gather data, stories and feedback on learning, impact and change. This monitoring and evaluation will be reported back to the Advisory Group and the National Lottery on a regular basis.

As the SaM Programme Manager you will manage a county‑wide partnership, contributing not only to delivery but also to shared learning, reflection and continuous improvement. You will balance representing your host organisation with acting in the best interests of the partnership and the communities it serves.

Our School Talks are a key part of our work at Just Like Us. We take hundreds of bookings from schools every year, and deliver hundreds of school talks across the UK with the support of our LGBT+ volunteers aged 18-25.

This role will be key in working with schools to clarify and action their bookings with us, and supporting our volunteers to deliver those talks, working with the Volunteering Team.

Summary of the Role

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes. This role is critical to the delivery of our mission and will support the Education Programmes and Impact Manager to deliver School Talks so that we can reach even more young people across the UK with our stories of allyship. The role will be working across the Programmes Team, working on the School Talks programme primarily. The Programmes Team delivers the Ambassador programme, Pride Groups and resources for schools. This role is an entry-level position and will provide the successful candidate with a strong foundation for a career in the voluntary sector. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, with strong organisational and administrative skills, and good communication skills to join a friendly, driven Programmes Team. We are very keen to hear from underrepresented voices, particularly trans and non-binary, Black and/or PoC candidates.

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity. Founded in 2016, we work with primary schools, secondary schools and sixth form colleges across the UK to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people. To do that, we run several programmes:
● Ambassador Programme: We support our ambassadors to use their voice, develop skills and find community. They also deliver our School Talks programme to schools across the UK.
● School Talks programme: We train and support our LGBT+ 18 to 25 year olds to speak in secondary schools about growing up LGBT+ and allyship.
● Pride Groups: We help secondary schools set up and run lunchtime or after school clubs for LGBT+ pupils and their allies to meet, learn and get support, creating a safe space in every setting.
● Resource Library: We provide free resources to thousands of schools, making LGBT+ inclusive education accessible to all. This includes free e-learning for teachers to increase their confidence in creating LGBT+ inclusive educational settings.
● School Diversity Week: We run the UK-wide celebration of LGBT+ equality in primary and secondary schools. We provide free educational resources to thousands of schools, making LGBT+ inclusive education accessible to all.

Job Description

This role reports directly to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager.

Programme delivery
● Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes
● Good regular communication and reporting to the Education Programmes and Impact Manager
● Manage the administration of our School Talk programme, including organising bookings with schools, organising volunteers, supporting schools and ambassadors, supporting the whole delivery
● Represent the charity at conferences, events, prides and fairs
● Ensure volunteers have a fulfilling and engaging experience when volunteering with Just Like Us, that they feel recognised and understand the impact of their contribution
● Work collaboratively across teams to manage logistics and ensure the smooth running of Just Like Us programmes throughout the academic year

We are seeking an experienced, strategic and collaborative Head of Programmes to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping our fast-growing Martingale Scholarship Programme.

As Head of Programmes, you will join our senior management team, overseeing the growing programmes team. Working closely with the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of Martingale’s Scholarship Programme from application to alumni, ensuring that the programme maintains a strong reputation for being both supportive and prestigious.

You will set the strategic direction of Martingale’s Scholarship Programme, working closely with the CEO on a day-to-day basis to ensure that as we expand across STEM the programme remains of a high quality and meeting Martingale’s mission. Strategic Leadership of the Scholarship Programme

• Provide strategic oversight of the end-to-end Martingale Scholarship lifecycle, from selection and admissions through to scholar progression and alumni outcomes.
• Develop and deliver a multi-year operational strategy for Martingale’s Development Programme (MDP), ensuring scalability, academic excellence, and alignment with organisational growth plans.
• Continuously refine the scholar journey to ensure it is sector-leading, prestigious, and tailored to the needs of students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Build deep expertise in postgraduate education, research culture, and enabling access to inform programme evolution and innovation.

Admissions & Selection Strategy

• Lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of a rigorous, fair, and high-quality admissions and assessment process across subject areas.
• Oversee shortlisting, interview frameworks, assessment centres, and final scholarship recommendations to the Selection Committee.
• Ensure alignment between Martingale’s selection processes and university partner requirements.
• Maintain oversight of scholar allocation, including place management, deferrals, intermissions, withdrawals, and reallocations.

Scholar Experience & Case Management

• Ensure effective advocacy for Scholars including maximising progression and retention across cohorts.
• Oversee complex scholar casework, including deferrals, intermissions, safeguarding concerns, funding queries, disciplinary action and university liaison.
• Ensure consistent, professional, and high-touch support across the scholar lifecycle.
• Strengthen cohort cohesion and long-term alumni engagement.

Safeguarding & Compliance

• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Martingale, ensuring safeguarding policy implementation and record keeping in line with best practice in relation to vulnerable adults.
• Oversee data protection compliance relating to scholar and applicant data, in partnership with the organisation’s Data Protection Officer.
• Ensure programme delivery complies with charity, funding, and regulatory requirements.

Budget, Contracting & Financial Oversight

• Hold responsibility for programme budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation, cost control, and value for money.
• Oversee scholarship programme financial management, and work with Head of Strategy and Operations on onwards grants including deferrals, funding adjustments, and invoicing.
• Work with the Head of Strategy and Operations on university contracting, scholarship agreements, and financial reconciliation with partners.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and reporting processes across programme operations.

University & Sector Partnerships (Programme-Focused)

• Lead programme-level relationships with university partners, including Heads of Departments, Graduate Tutors, CDT leads, and admissions teams.
• Ensure universities meet partnership commitments and that Scholars are appropriately supported institutionally.
• Contribute to partnership negotiations where programme design or operational delivery is concerned.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen university research culture and scholar support mechanisms.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

• Lead development and oversight of Martingale’s Theory of Change and evaluation framework, working with our external independent evaluators.
• Develop robust systems to track scholar progression, outcomes, and programme effectiveness.
• Provide high-quality reporting to the CEO, Board, funders, and partners, evidencing impact and continuous improvement.

New Programme Development & Innovation

• Work with the CEO to design new subject expansions, pilots, or initiatives aligned to Martingale’s mission.

Team Leadership & Culture

• Provide senior leadership to the Programmes team, including line management of programme staff.

Purpose of the role:

The HR, People and Culture Manager is a recently created role at Back Up in response to our continuous growth and services expansion.

People are central to Back Up’s work. The ideal candidate will be able to both take a lead in defining our future approach to our human resources and fostering a positive workplace culture whilst also providing hands on delivery, and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws. They will help us ensure we have the right people, in the right place at the right time and will support our team members to realise their full potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Recruitment and Staffing:

· Oversee best practice in inclusive recruitment, including impactful and engaging job

postings, screening, interviewing, reasonable adjustments and onboarding of new staff and

Trustees.

· Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective

recruitment strategies in order to recruit high performing staff which share Back Up’s values.

· Review and update our staff handbook and HR policies and procedures using Back Up’s tone of voice and ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practice.
