Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities

Manage the DUK project portfolio

• Become a subject matter expert in applied and translational research in DMD, allowing informed decision making and effective communication with key stakeholders
• Support identification of new project and collaborative opportunities, including the ongoing management and delivery of our applicant-led funding call
• Support the Director of Research and Development in project scientific review, working with the Scientific Advisory Board, Patient Advisory Board, Senior Leadership Team and DUK Board of Trustees
• Manage project development and initiation, including contracting, the development of detailed project plans, including go/no-go milestones, and budgets
• Manage and oversee project delivery, including monitoring of progress, according to agreed timelines and deliverables (including written updates and formal reports), and managing project finances, including reviewing and approval of invoices and monitoring project expenditure
• Support research budget forecasting in liaison with the finance team and the Director of Research and Development, and ensure compliance across the project portfolio
• Build and manage relationships with external partners and maintain regular communication through the project life cycle
• Support the Director of Research and Development to identify areas of strategic focus to inform the development of new research programmes
• Contribute to and support the development of DUK led research proposals for external funding and work with the income generation team to identify opportunities for research funding

Research governance and processes

• Maintain and improve, as relevant, internal processes for research management and governance
• Act as system owner for the research functions within DUK’s CRM (Salesforce), maintaining records and driving process improvements for grant workflows and monitoring
• Support the Director of Research and Development in research governance activities
• Support the Director of Research and Development to ensure compliance with the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) requirements, such as - contributing to annual data collection and surveys; implementation of AMRC processes and reviews recommendations, as relevant; keep up to date with relevant news and opportunities for training, collaboration and networking

Support the Director of Research and Development on the following external engagement activities

• Development and implementation of outreach and engagement activities in the DMD patient and research community to inform areas for research focus and prioritisation
• Scoping and development of formal and informal strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholder organisations (e.g. membership societies, other charities, consortia etc)

Support delivery of DUK flagship strategic programmes

DUK has strategic programmes in clinical research access and capacity, care standards and care access, assistive technologies and patient data. Under the oversight of the Director of Research and Development and working closely with the relevant programme team:

• Coordinate key programme updates and discussions between the DUK team and the programme teams
• Working with DUK comms team, support the development of external comms and marketing
• Working with the Director of Research and Development and the programme teams, support development of new initiatives and external funding opportunities

Other key responsibilities

• Provide general research admin support (e.g. arrange research meetings, both internal and external, prepare agendas and take minutes)
• Work with DUK comms team to identify case studies and success stories and support the development of the research comms strategy
• Coordinate research comms and work with the Director of Research and Development and comms team to ensure all research content is accurate and appropriate
• Work with the income generation and comms teams to provide updates to our key co-funding partners
• Support the collection of portfolio data across all programmes for DUK KPIs and to support DUK impact report development
• Coordinate and deliver research led events and support the Director of Research and Development in the agenda and content development for the annual Duchenne UK New Horizons conference
• Travel across the UK to attend meetings with partners

Salary: £41,500

The Conference Manager (FTC) plays a significant part in delivering Hospice UK’s programme of conferences for our hospice membership. As a newly created position, you will take the lead on our one-day conferences while also supporting the delivery of our annual National Conference.

The Team

The Conference team is made up of the Senior Conference manager and the Programmes Team Administrator, with support from the Deputy Director of Programmes, Director of Programmes and subject matter experts across the organisation.

It is a mighty team of two, managing a portfolio of 5 in person conferences across the year, from our role focused one-day conferences of around 130 - 150 delegates to our annual National Conference, which welcomes over 1000 delegates.Our team works across the organisation and collaborates with lots of internal and external stakeholders.

The Role

The Programmes Manager (Education) leads DTL’s schools work, owning the relationships, logistics, and outcomes that sit at the heart of our education offer. This is a delivery role with real breadth: you will manage a national programme of training events, lead on school recruitment and retention, and ensure the programme generates the evidence base that sustains its long-term funding.

You will be the main point of contact for subscribing schools, working closely with the CEO and Head of Partnerships. You will represent DTL’s schools work to funders and external partners, and contribute to the strategic development of the programme over time.

While the Digital Ambassador Programme is currently grant funded for three years, DTL’s intention is for the programme to become financially self-sustaining through school subscriptions, and this role is central to achieving that. As the programme grows, so will the scope of this post and the team to support it.

This is an office based role (flexible working considered) from our Brighton office which will involve some travel.

The Digital Ambassador Programme

The Digital Ambassador Programme is DTL’s flagship schools initiative. It trains staff and student Digital Ambassadors in schools across the UK, equipping them to lead on digital safety from within - and to escalate harmful content directly via DTL’s trusted flagger network.

This model creates both a faculty lead to manage complex reports from young people and also a student lead who will be able to provide peer-to-peer support to their fellow students, ensuring that students who may not wish to report directly to the faculty will still have a reporting mechanism. 

Key Responsibilities

Programme delivery

• Manage all delivery phases from set up through to annual review, in line with the agreed delivery plan.

• Coordinate the logistics of 6 regional hub training events per year, including venue sourcing, school invitations, materials production, and on-the-day facilitation.

• Oversee the production of printed resources and ensure all school-facing materials meet DTL brand standards.

• Manage the year-round ambassador network: quarterly online meetings, monthly email digests, and peer-to-peer community activity.

School recruitment and retention

• Lead school recruitment and retention

• Manage all school relationships as point of contact from initial contact through to annual renewal.

Monitoring, evaluation and reporting

• Implement the M&E framework in partnership with DTL’s external consultant

Internal coordination

About the Role

We're hiring a Programmes Coordinator & Facilitator to join our Safe Ground team based in HMP Altcourse. The role involves delivering arts based interventions aimed at supporting participants in their personal development, family relationships, and rehabilitation.

In this role, you’ll help set up, deliver  and review arts‑based, therapeutically informed programmes that support men in custody with personal development, family relationships and rehabilitation. You’ll work directly with programme participants, using creative group sessions and person centred approaches to meet individual and group needs. You’ll also work closely with colleagues in the Visitors’ Centre, prison staff and wider teams to make sure our programmes run safely, smoothly and with care. As part of Safe Ground’s flagship Family Service, you’ll be joining a reflective and supportive team of facilitators, counsellors and family support staff. Together, you’ll help strengthen family relationships, support positive change and contribute to a more compassionate, trauma informed culture within the prison.

You will be required to undertake additional training and vetting as per the requirements of the prison.

• Facilitate and deliver arts‑based, therapeutically informed group programmes for men in custody.

Future First is looking for a passionate and organised Programmes & Partnerships Manager to lead the delivery of key partnership programmes that help state school students build confidence, motivation and career aspirations through alumni networks.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven charity working to ensure every state school and college is supported by a thriving alumni community. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, funders and partners to manage projects, strengthen strategic relationships and help shape the future of our programmes.

We’re looking for someone with strong project and stakeholder management experience, excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. You’ll also line manage our Corporate Partnerships Executive and play a key role in driving programme quality, learning and impact across the organisation.

First wants to see every state school and college in the UK, and every state pupil, supported by a thriving and engaged alumni community, which improves students’ motivation, confidence and life chances. We have a network of alumni who have supported our programmes in schools for over a decade. They act as accessible and inspirational role models by sharing their stories through a variety of activities, including blogging, online mentoring, networking and careers activities in our member schools. We manage these relationships through our Future First Hub – a safe, social media style interface that allows schools to build and manage every aspect of their network in one place.

About the role

The role of the Programme & Partnerships Manager is to lead and coordinate the planning, delivery, management and monitoring of Future First’s key partnership programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience in project management, excellent partnership and stakeholder engagement at all levels, and committed to Future First’s aims and values.

To develop and deliver partnerships, policy advocacy, and systems change activity that improves access to justice and outcomes for Deaf and Disabled people. 

Overview 

You will lead on partnerships, policy influence, and systems change work, working across a range of stakeholders to strengthen networks, influence policy, and deliver strategic change. 

Key responsibilities 

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships across sectors 

• Lead on systems change and policy advocacy work 

• Manage programmes focused on training and capacity building 

• Use data and evidence to inform systems change activity 

• Manage staff and volunteers and support team development 

• Develop stakeholder networks and collaborations 

• Contribute to policy campaigns and strategic initiatives 

• Support monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting
