We have a new and exciting vacancy, The Centre Manager (the Manager) will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of the Coventry Boys and Girls Club (Centre). This includes the management of the Senior Management Team (SMT), to ensure the compliance of/to and oversee all administration processes and procedures (including all legal requirements) and financial management. 

A key role of this job is to develop the centre’s business in consultation with senior staff, service users to understand the needs of the community and thus create bespoke opportunities in response. This also includes working with and across stakeholders from statutory, voluntary and the commercial sector to generate greater means of collaborative working, and manage a facility which is both safe, sustainable, and friendly for users.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 · Manage the safe and efficient operational delivery of the centre in conjunction with the Senior Management Team (SMT)

· To ensure that the service is fully compliant within its regulated marketplace and that the quality assurance processes are implemented and maintained.

· To support in strategy development, expansion planning and the delivery of the business plan and profit targets, working with the SMT to ensure new business generation in line with agreed budgets.

· To review data and SMT reports to evaluate, advise and support further improvement.

KEY TASKS:

· In conjunction with the Board of Directors to oversee the centre, supporting the Senior Management (SMT) and staff team to maintain compliance within those services and in particular, supporting with any safeguarding concerns.

· Closely oversee any areas of concern in the day-to-day operations of the centre and provide on call advice and assistance as part of an agreed rota.

· To implement and oversee KPI’s for the SMT in line with the centre’s goals, managing any areas of concern.

· To help deliver expansion plans across the centre, in particular working with the SMT to maximise the use of the centre’s facilities.

· To ensure that the SMT promote the use of the Centre by, amongst other things, maintaining the Centre’s website and other social media and maximise publicity opportunities and liaising with the local media, and to build relationships and acknowledge funders and their contributions.

· To advise the SMT and Directors on areas for development, areas of good practice and areas for improvement; introducing systems and work practices in order to deliver change where needed. To take quick and decisive action where any decline in outcomes is identified.

· To keep up to date with all regulatory changes and good safeguarding practice.

· To effectively introduce, communicate and share good practice examples across the staff.

· To help build on and further develop a strong and well-balanced team, developing new staff to come through across all regions and developing team resilience.

· Ensuring all Company Policies and Procedures are implemented, managed and monitored.

· Ensuring that all Legislation and Regulations are implemented, managed and monitored.

· Reporting via a board report, and attending board meetings, to share all relevant information within your role.

· To share key information following the board meeting with the SMT in a timely manner.

· To collaborate with directors and key staff to develop new systems, processes, or practices in line with the company requirements.

· Supporting the SMT to ensure that the service follows the agreed recruitment and selection processes, ensuring that the company’s staffing levels are maintained accordingly.

· Assist in the investigation process and hear grievances for formal disciplinary hearings (inc appeals) as appropriate and where requested.

· To investigate and apply for external funding.

· To promote and maintain positive, fruitful relationships with all stake holders, particularly Coventry City Council, to seek compatibility of activities and delivery of innovative joint ventures.

· To inform the directors, of any serious areas of concern.

· Maintain absolute confidentiality and follow all GDPR guidance and policy.

· As with all staff, to take joint responsibility for the safeguarding of those in our care and to act on any concerns immediately.

Education and training:

· Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience / qualification

· Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

· Proven experience in either, the voluntary/community sector, business, project management.

The Programme and Impact Manager oversees the delivery and development of Kinetic Foundation’s partner-funded programmes and workshops, focusing on personal development activities, community programmes, and impact recording and reporting, ensuring robust data management and safeguarding compliance.This dynamic role requires a flexible, organised individual passionate about youth development and social mobility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal Development Activities 

• Manage, implement, and evaluate partner-funded programmes and workshops to enhance participants’ social-emotional skills, resilience, and employability. 

• Coordinate with external deliverers, funding partners and schools to schedule and deliver workshops for 16-19-year-olds. 

• Manage programme budgets, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost-effective delivery in collaboration with partners. 

• Ensure workshops address barriers to success aligning with the Foundation’s impact framework. 

Community 

• Oversee HAF programmes, to support recruitment and awareness of the charity in KS3 and KS4. 

• Manage food deliveries, staffing, budget awareness etc. for HAF programmes as well as completing the end of delivery reports and evaluations required. 

• Communicate with participants, parents/carers, schools, and stakeholders to promote programme accessibility and engagement. 

• Maintain and update the CRM and master calendar to ensure all community programme events and opportunities are scheduled and communicated effectively. 

Impact Recording and Data Management 

• Oversee the collection, cleaning, and analysis of programme data to ensure robust, GDPR-compliant records of participation, outcomes, and impact. 

• Conduct pre- and post-intervention monitoring and exit route tracking to measure long-term impacts, such as transitions to employment, training, or university. 

• Develop quantitative and qualitative reports to communicate impact to funders, senior management, and trustees, using data visualisation techniques where possible. 

• Implement the Kinetic Impact Framework across all programmes to ensure consistent evaluation and continuous improvement. 

• Work alongside the COO to keep CRM up to date with participant numbers on the programme.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of youth unemployment, NEET status, and social mobility trends to inform programme design and reporting. 

Team Collaboration and Management 

• Manage the Youth Engagement Officer through weekly meetings, ensuring alignment with programme goals and participant needs. 

• Collaborate with the COO, marketing, and fundraising teams to align programme delivery with organisational objectives and funding requirements. 

• Support the wider team by attending events and opportunities linked to Kinetic Futures and community programmes, ensuring high attendance and engagement. 

Safeguarding – Kinetic Futures 

• Ensure all programmes, workshops, and events comply with the Foundation’s safeguarding policies, including DBS checks and training requirements. 

• Ensure risk assessments and all relevant trip packs are created for any external visits in good time so they can get signed off. 

• Work with the COO to support safeguarding procedures, coordinating to address concerns promptly. 

• Maintain a visible presence at schools and programme sites to promote a culture of safety and accountability. 

Person Specification  

Essential Skills and Experience 

• Passion for the Kinetic Foundation’s vision and mission, with an understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged young people in London.

Resurrection Trading (known as Resurrection Furniture) is a vibrant friendly charity shop in Alton High Street specialising in recycled second hand furniture and home goods. We need an efficient organiser to lead our team of volunteers, manage the office and bring a creative flair to display and sales.

About us
We opened in Alton in 2017 and in 2022 moved to larger premises at 21b High Street. The charity is linked to the Parish of the Resurrection. All profits from the shop go to good causes in Alton, especially to support youth related projects, people in need, heritage buildings and the community.

The shop is a busy, friendly place supported by a skilled team of repairers in the workshop and a lively band of drivers and lifters on the van. In total we have more than 50 volunteers and the charity is led by a team of Trustees. The shop is open 10 to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Job Summary
The Manager’s role is typical for a retail high street shop except that there is no head office or back up staff - the manager and volunteers between them carry out all functions. These include:
Daily office administration - communications especially daily emails, Facebook messages and phone calls re furniture donations and sales, discussions with volunteers.
Coordination of volunteers including induction training, support and leadership,
Organising donations – selection, collection, pricing, display and delivery.
Shop organisation, administration and reporting to Trustees including publicity
 

Key Responsibilities:

Office Administration
• Deal promptly with shop communications via telephone, emails, Facebook and in person each day relating to donations, sales, and messages from volunteers
• Maintain data including personnel and customer information, finance and other record keeping.
• Manage the system of agreeing furniture donations, arranging collections from and deliveries to homes around Alton and booking slots on the van.
• Order shop supplies and maintain health and safety systems
• Manage gift aid documentation and other notices.
• Liaise with the workshop team, the van team, the Parish monthly market and Trustees

Volunteer Coordination
• Manage the volunteer rota ensuring that the shop is staffed by two to three volunteers including a lead volunteer per shift six days per week.
• Support the Trustee who manages the van rota currently four mornings per week depending on demand.
• Identify and recruit new volunteers as necessary, organise induction and regular training especially relating to health and safety, cash management and shop and van routine.
• Frequently communicate with volunteers in person, via the notice board, email and newsletter on shop organisation, sales new personnel and events.
• Liaise with lead volunteers regularly on organisation and volunteer issues.

Managing donations and sales
• In conjunction with volunteers decide on items to be accepted based on quality, saleability, existing stock from photos and other information.
• Value items not already priced by volunteers using the RF pricing guide and on-line apps.
• Ensure the shop is full of a wide range of items with back up stock kept in the store offsite.
• Promote donations via estate agents, care homes, general publicity and regular house clearances

Shop organisation
• Arrange for regular updating of shop and window displays
• Keep the shop and workshop clean and a safe environment
• Ensure that volunteers follow RF policies and procedures
• Ensure good customer relations including dealing with complaints
• Publicity including a newsletter and Facebook and website pages

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families and children.  Our team of trained staff and volunteers provide regular emotional support and practical help to families in their own homes and in groups throughout the community.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. We’ve established an exciting programme of digital content co-creation with young people, to support them to successfully manage their sexual health, relationships, and mental health in the digital age, and we’re looking for a brilliant new Programme Manager to head this up.

This is an exciting, rewarding, and hands-on role at the heart of our small Sheffield-based team. You’ll lead the design and delivery of our projects – from the first sparks of an idea all the way through to measuring impact and celebrating success. 

This role is Sheffield-based or hybrid.

The role details

• Normal working day at Fumble is 9am - 5:30pm, with a 1h unpaid lunch break (7.5h day)

• 4 days/week (0.8 FTE), Monday - Thursday

  • What would this mean? Fumble is preparing to trial a 4 day working week, which would mean a 30h work week across Mon-Thurs, with staff pay and benefits (including holiday allowance) increasing from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE for everyone.

We’re looking for someone who…

• Has a creative eye and instinct for engaging, youth-led design

• Brings solid experience in managing freelancers and creative teams (we’re looking for CVs with at least 5+ years of relevant career experience)

• Is confident running charity projects end-to-end – including bid writing and fundraising, planning, people management, deadlines, budgets, and reporting

Key deliverables expected from this role

Here are some of the key deliverables expected from the role in the first 12 months.

1. Programme delivery - youth engagement

• Expand our recent successful pilot project: ‘Healthy relationships for young women and girls’. 

This will include:

• In person delivery, in Sheffield.

• Project planning, session planning, promotion campaign to reach potential participants, facilitation of sessions and/or managing freelance facilitators, impact measurement, reporting.

• Deliver our annual cycle of engaging our Youth Advisory Board (remote, online delivery). This will include:

  • Planning and facilitating sessions via Zoom (supported by our Social Media & Comms Officer); impact measurement and reporting; safeguarding and managing the engagement and retention of members. 

2. Programme delivery - digital content and campaigns

• Delivery of our planned ‘Sexual health Q&As between young people & doctors’ campaign. This will include:

  • A series of video content, co-created with young people, for a social media campaign and series of associated website articles on the Fumble website. 

3. Supporting our safeguarding

• Supporting safeguarding at Fumble, as our Designated Safeguarding Officer. You’ll bring previous experience of effective safeguarding to help us build on our policy and practice. 

• This will include:

  • Conduct / manage annual safeguarding training for Fumble team & stakeholder groups

  • Maintain DBS checks

  • Communicate with external safeguarding agencies & expert advisors (where relevant)

  • Ensure safeguarding info is visible on the website and in sessions, and 

  • Ensure safeguarding continues to be embedded in a meaningful way across all of Fumble’s activities. 

4. Impact measurement

• Participate in the team’s development of our recently introduced impact measurement framework

• Design any additional tools needed for evaluating youth sessions, campaigns, and content.

• Collect quantitative and qualitative data (e.g. surveys, feedback forms, analytics).

• Report on outcomes and impact.

• Engage young people in co-evaluation methods where possible.

5. Supporting our fundraising 

• Participate in the team’s collective fundraising efforts. This includes:

  • identifying funding opportunities for Fumble, writing and reviewing bids, and writing reports for funders.

The Senior Grants Manager will take a leading role in delivering The Childhood Trust’s new grant-making strategy. The Role

As Community and Trusts Fundraiser, you will be at the heart of our community fundraising efforts while also taking ownership of your fundraising portfolio, focusing on maximising income from Community groups, Individuals, Trusts and Foundations (both UK and international). You'll build and manage your own portfolio of donors, create fundraising initiatives and try new approaches that inspire and encourage community fundraising. Your Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver engaging fundraising campaigns and activities for community groups and individuals.

· Create and manage a calendar of fundraising events and opportunities that engage and inspire participation from community groups

• Build and manage a portfolio of community supporters, trusts and foundations to maximise income and awareness.
• Develop a robust pipeline of funding applications, securing grants from trusts and foundations.
• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective funders, delivering outstanding stewardship. 
• Organise and support community fundraising events, both in-person and online, co-ordinating event logistics, from kit delivery to stock management and ensuring everything runs smoothly and the success of the event is maximised.
• Write impactful persuasive proposals and donor updates that showcase our work.
• Maintain accurate donor records and ensure timely reporting to funders in line with donation conditions while driving unrestricted and restricted income opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop social media content that engages supporters.
• Work closely with Head of Fundraising to achieve key fundraising objectives.

The General Manager of DPA will be responsible for supporting the development of DPA, driving the company forward, raising the profile, reach, and impact of the work, and ensuring the viability and effective operations of DPA.

Our General Manager is a key member of Different Planet Arts small staff team. Working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board of Trustees as part of the Senior Management Team, you will manage and organise operational support for Different Planet arts programme, ensuring we provide an excellent service to our participants, partners and audiences.

This role is suitable for someone building a career in operations. We are looking for someone who can maintain and provide the right systems and structures to enable others to lead and create our arts projects, and provide ongoing, efficient admin, managerial and fundraising support.

You will manage and be responsible for our systems and processes for financial administration, fundraising, governance procedures and processes, monitoring and keeping the Different Planet Arts office running day-to-day as an administrative hub. You will work closely with our treasurer (who is responsible for creating quarterly Management Accounts.)

Role: General Manager  

Reports to: Artistic Director & Board of Trustees 

Salary: £190 per day, 3 days a week for 48 weeks of the year

Contract: This is a rolling freelance position initially for 6 months to be extended subject to securing future funding

Hours: Preferably 3 days (22.5 hours) a week, 1.5 days at our office in Lewes.

Management Responsibilities
