Duties and key responsibilities

•Manage and grow a Trusts and Foundations portfolio at MAP to secure income from active and cold audiences, focusing on donors giving up to £25,000 per annum. 

•Identify new channels to grow income from Trusts and Foundations outside of the charity’s existing networks.

•Develop and deliver tailored proposals, sit reps, and stewardship plans, proactively improving knowledge capture and MAP’s understanding of supporters.

•Work with the Prospect Researcher to identify, research, and cultivate leads to build a strong pipeline of Trusts and Foundations prospects that will have a significant, positive impact on income.

Summary

The Education and Growing Faith department is looking to hire a Senior Programme Officer to support the church schools and the wider education sector. Working in the Operations Team, you'll be directly supporting the Head of Operations with project work and the wider NSE with system and process support. The role will offer the post-holder the opportunity to work across a range of areas such as communications, HR, grant management, reporting and governance. There will be a mix of longer strategic project work, and shorter task-based work.

About the Department/Role

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

We are a dynamic team, working remotely from our homes around the country. We gather regularly online, and fairly regularly in person.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to:

• Support the Head of Operations with policy development and reviews.
• Take responsibility for the continued development and management of the online Office Manual.
• Support the Head of Operations with due diligence tasks around new areas of work, taking ownership of discrete projects.

The FIGO Fistula Surgery Training Initiative (FSTI) project has been in existence for 10 years and in that time has become recognised as a key global project, instrumental in delivering capacity building and improved healthcare outcomes for women, with an emphasis on the global south. After 10 years the senior project manager has stepped down and FIGO are seeking to use this as an opportunity to review the project delivery model.

The Interim Senior Project Manager role will lead the FIGO Fistula Project on an interim basis and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the project during that period. In addition, they will be expected to review the project delivery model, ensuring that the project aligns to best practice and delivers in the most effective and efficient manner possible for the future, whilst ensuring agreed project outcomes.

We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual who has the skills, knowledge and experience in coordinating casework and undertaking reporting of data to stakeholders. The IPO will undertake and be responsible for a range of administrative functions to advance and simply casework flow under the Sub-Regional Immigration Advice Service (SIAS) project. The IPO must have the ability to communicate effectively with referring agencies and stakeholders on a regular basis. The IPO will organise and present data to funders and others on behalf of NKLC. The IPO would have a good general understanding of Legal Aid casework, and the regulatory obligations set by the SRA and IAA.

The IPO will work closely with the Immigration Supervising Solicitor (ISS), Director and general admin team to progress and maintain the SIAS project. The IPO will manage referrals, liaise with the immigration team, and undertake a variety of administrative functions to maintain and resolve associated issues within the immigration department. Where appropriate, the IPO will arrange appointments, attend triage sessions off-site and liaise with referring agencies to ensure that caseworkers can advance casework as efficiently as possible.

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. Metabolic Support UK (MSUK) are the leading organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMDs), supporting thousands of people worldwide through providing individual support, building communities, and continually advocating for and empowering those living with IMDs. 

We are a small but mighty team providing individual support, advice and connection to the over 40,000 living with an IMD in the UK and more across the world. MSUK are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to strengthen and grow our patient and family community. There are over 1500 IMDs and many of our community use social media, other patient groups and in-person events to connect and learn. This role is central to how we engage with the people we support — through social media, community groups, events, and collaborative partnerships. Engagement & Social Media 

• Manage and monitor all online patient communities responding to community messages and comments with empathy and timeliness 

• Moderate relevant support online community groups, ensuring they are safe, active, and welcoming spaces 

• Identify themes and areas of interest to advocate internally for MSUK response to meeting community need 

• Signpost our Individual Support service, identify and flag individual enquiries to the Individual Support Lead

We deliver both emergency and planned medical support, staying to support people in need of healthcare for the long term. In the UK, we deliver our own domestic programme supporting people excluded from healthcare in the UK, including people seeking asylum and those who are homeless. Community Fundraising Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented fundraising team

We are looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will be responsible for driving our strategy for Community Fundraising, Individual/Regular Giving and Events. With a database of around 100,000 registrants and 15,000 members, these existing income streams have lots of great potential. We have amazing fundraisers in our community who take on challenges like the London Marathon, London to Brighton bike ride, or their own swimming challenge and there’s lots of great potential amongst our supporters, including our committed members and regular givers.

Hours:  30 hours per week (negotiable for the right candidate)

Purpose of the role

• Grow a successful existing income stream (Fundraising Events and Regular Giving) and develop and grow a comparatively new income stream (Community Fundraising and Individual Giving) for Twins Trust. You will do this alongside other fundraisers in the team and with support from a Fundraising Officer.
• Lead and develop a multi-year strategy for growing our Community and Events programmes, with a well-planned calendar of events throughout the year covering different themes and geographies.
• Lead the strategy for our Individual/Regular Giving programme
• Lead on the creation, planning and delivery of a new Twins Trust owned mass participation fundraising event
• Provide strategic support and guidance to our Fundraising Officer to implement the annual raffle, ongoing Lottery programme and Individual Giving programme.
• Work closely with other teams across Fundraising, Membership and Communications to spot opportunities to maximise income and drive new projects forward
• Provide exceptional relationship management and stewardship to fundraisers in our community to make them feel appreciated, maximise income raised and encourage repeat fundraising

• Significant experience of leading a 6 figure multi-year community fundraising strategy including forecasting and monitoring income and expenditure
• Experience of leading community, events, or Individual/Regular Giving fundraising - taking ownership and achieving growth in scale and income
• Experience of creating and delivering a new medium to large scale (£25k plus) fundraising event, maximising all commercial opportunities within it
• Excellent relationship building skills

Our operations team is led by the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and includes the finance and bookings & venue teams. This is a newly created role that will report directly to the COO and work closely with the wider operations team.

Scope of role

The Senior IT & Operations Officer is responsible for leading the central coordination of IT operations, managing key relationships with two main contractors (IT and estate management), and ensuring seamless integration of IT infrastructure and estate management services. This role involves overseeing the effective and efficient functioning of both IT systems and estate operations for Toynbee Hall and Toynbee Trading, while prioritising the safety of staff and stakeholders on-site. The officer will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, resolve issues, and maintain a collaborative working environment to support business continuity, operational efficiency, and safety standards across all operational areas. Additionally, they will support the procurement of IT and estate-related items, such as IT kit, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of required resources.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Information Technology & Systems

• Support the COO and wider SMT with all IT related strategy including procurement and streamline of new IT service provider/s. Including setting up KPIs’ and using these to assess performance.
• Manage the setup of new staff – including the procurement of equipment required for the role – this includes all communication tools.
• Managing the relationship and being the key point of contact with the technology suppliers and technology support providers.
• Identifying cost savings/efficiencies in the tech stack.
• Supporting IT KIT refresh plans and purchase, this includes audit of needs and vendor negotiations and lifecycle planning with the COO.
• Leading on regular assessment of IT and systems needs for all services and administrative staff.

Facilities, Health and Safety & General Administration

• Act as the main point of contact with our property management company. Work with the COO to escalate issues.
• Book in contractors and maintain all required documentation in conjunction with other key stake holders (property manager/agent).
• Be the escalation point for maintenance issues, liaising with the property management company to make sure that issues are dealt with in a satisfactory manner.
• Work with H&S consultants and property managers to ensure all relevant training is planned for and carried out and Risk assessments are being completed and used.
• Work with HR to ensure that all relevant training is planned for and carried out.
• Maintain records for all mandatory tests in conjunction with our property agents.
• Liaise with the Events and Venue Manager to ensure building management is always in place, keyholding, security etc.

Projects

• Manage ad hoc projects on behalf of the operations team; such as refurbishments, implementation of printer management.

General

About the role: This is an exciting time for Tender, with both the demand for and reach of our work expanding significantly in recent years. To support this expansion, we are recruiting for a Projects Coordinator to join the London and South East team. Organisation Overview:  

Unpaid carers are the unsung heroes in our communities, supporting relatives, friends, and neighbours, often with limited or no support, to live the best lives they can.

Carers Centre Tower Hamlets (CCTH) is a small, committed organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers through a variety of specialist services, from social and therapeutic activities to emotional, mentoring, advocacy, and signposting support. We aim to enrich and empower unpaid carers’ lives, providing them with the support they so selflessly give to others. We are now recruiting to our team someone who will lead on our work to support Carers as part of the Barnsley Street Mental Health Project. 

Project Overview:  

The Barnsley Street Project is a Community Mental Health Pilot aimed at delivering continuous, person-centred mental health care to underserved populations in PCN1 (Bethnal Green). This initiative is a collaborative effort between East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA), and the Look Ahead Housing Association. Driven by the voice of lived experience, the project is designed to address the systemic gaps in mental health services, particularly for marginalised communities.  

Purpose of the role:  

To identify and coordinate an effective support service for unpaid carers who support residents who access the Barnsley Street Project, with the aim of supporting carers to have their needs met as well as develop a healthy and sustainable caring role.    

To facilitate access for unpaid carers in the Barnsley Street Project to appropriate support services, both statutory and voluntary. To provide comprehensive support and information to families and carers. To raise awareness of carers’ needs with professionals in the project environment and contribute to carer friendly policies.   

The post will involve the direct provision of services, referral to and between services, collaborative work with other local agencies and outreach work. The post-holder will provide advocacy, referral, and ongoing practical and emotional support to unpaid carers through individual and group work.    

Responsibilities: 

• Identification and Support: Proactively identify carers of residents who utilise the Barnsley Street Project, and provide them with tailored support, ensuring their well-being is prioritised. 

• Information and Guidance: Offer information about available resources, support services, and community networks to assist carers effectively. 

• Communication Liaison: Facilitate communication between clinical staff and carers, ensuring they are kept informed about the patient's condition, treatment plan, and any discharge process. 

• Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to carers, listening to their concerns and offering a caring presence during difficult times. 

• Training and Education: Organise workshops and peer support groups to equip carers with essential skills for their caregiving role. 

• Advocacy: Advocate for carers' needs and rights within the setting, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. 

Requirements: 

• Previous experience in an advice or support role within a mental health or healthcare environment is preferred. 

• Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting carers during challenging times. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with carers, hospital staff, and external partners. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing priorities efficiently. 

• Proficient in using technology, including email and Microsoft Office suite.
