The role of Recovery Worker young adults lead will be hosted by Family Action and will be part of the Living Well Team in Bolton.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of Mental Health conditions and their impact on daily living and a strong track-record of working with individuals and their families to deliver positive outcomes.  You will work within the team to prototype new ways of supporting individuals, and contribute to the ongoing development of the team by sharing learning and by listening and responding to feedback from people who use the service

Main Responsibilities:

· You will carry a caseload of clients, working with individuals and their families to plan, support and achieve goals and outcomes that are important to them.

· To Develop trusting working relationships and provide practical and emotional support to individuals accessing the Living Well service.

· To develop and maintain positive professional working relationships and referral pathways to local statutory and community-based services which support adults

Your role

As a Legacy Engagement Manager in the Legacy Team, you will be focused on:

• Developing and delivering a world-class stewardship programme, with personalised experiences for existing and new high-level pledgers in your area.

THE ROLE:
The Service Manager plays a central role in ensuring that every young person who engages with Empire Fighting Chance receives high-quality, personalised support.

In this role, you will ensure that every young person who connects with Empire Fighting Chance receives an outstanding experience. You will oversee the full journey of young people through our programmes. From referral and assessment to onboarding, scheduling and progression. You will ensure their experience is safe and impactful.

You will champion a safety-aware culture across the organisation, embedding safeguarding into everyday practice and leading on case management and risk mitigation. This role is key to building a strong operational foundation for our Centre of Excellence in Bristol. Through strategic management, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will help shape an environment where young people feel safe, supported and empowered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
1. Manage the recruitment of young people

Accountable for the recruitment of suitable young people onto the programmes of Empire Fighting Chance.

• Implement a robust referral criteria process to ensure that Empire Fighting Chance targets the young people that it best supports.Contribute to the development of a ‘bank’ of recommended organisations to share with those young people who do not meet the charity’s referral criteria.

• Ensure the recruitment of young people for different Empire programmes meets organisational, grant and contractual targets.
• Provide oversight of all referral partnerships held by Empire Fighting Chance, ensuring all are working as well as they can.
• Ensure the charity collects robust and accurate information from referral partners on young people signposted to Empire Fighting Chance.
• Contribute to building intelligence of local systems within Bristol to shape how we recruit young people, including understanding the education, Special Educational Needs and mental health landscapes.
• Ensure the recruitment of young people onto EFC programmes follows a robust quality assurance process, using data to inform and strengthen existing processes

2. Manage the triaging and scheduling of young people
Accountable for ensuring young people participate in the right programme with the right coach mentor or therapist at the right time.

• Improve the prioritisation criteria to ensure that the charity fast tracks individuals who are most in need of support.
• Identify new approaches to managing the charity’s waiting list, ensuring the programmes can meet their needs and offer the correct resources to support them.
• Implement our assessment process to ensure Empire Fighting Chance gains a full and accurate understanding of each young person’s needs and circumstances.
• Implement a process to match young people with the most appropriate Empire Fighting Chance programme and coach mentor/therapist.
• Strengthen the scheduling process of young people’s programmes at Empire Fighting Chance.

3. Manage a safety aware culture
Accountable for developing of a culture where safeguarding and safety are embedded into every aspect
of our work.

• Champion a safety-aware culture across the organisation, embedding safeguarding into everyday practice.
  Be a key part of the safeguarding team and ensure robust safeguarding practices are implemented across all areas of the charity.
• Lead on safeguarding case management, including referrals, reporting, and liaison with external agencies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate safeguarding risks in programme delivery and organisational operations.
• Empire Fighting Chance is a charity (1156690) and a company limited by guarantee (08752389) registered in England and Wales.

4. Manage young people’s ‘Empire Experience’
Accountable for Empire Fighting Chance giving young people the best possible experience (outside of the delivery of programmes).

• Identify and implement improvements to The Mill boxing gym to ensure that young people feel safe and have an enjoyable experience (while retaining the look and feel of a real boxing gym). 
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure that young people have the best possible start to their Empire experience.
• Work alongside the Head of Programmes and Community Outreach Manager to develop a ‘bank’ of local organisations and services that young people can be referred onto during or after their programme. Ensure this information is shared with coaches and therapists so they can communicate it to the young person.
• Oversee the offboarding process that will support young people to continue their development after leaving Empire Fighting Chance (e.g. resources and pathways for young people – internally and externally).
• Use data and insights from young people to improve their experience.

5. Manage the provision of family liaison/support
Accountable for providing support to parents/carers of young people.

• Work alongside the Family Liaison Officer to enhance the information, advice, guidance and support provided to parents and carers to ensure young people engage with their programme.
• Oversee the development of practices and interventions that can provide support to parents and carers that will, in turn, have benefits for young people.

6. Line management of a team
Provide strategic direction to a small team in a supportive manner.

• Provide clear direction, support and motivation to team members, ensuring the Centre of Excellence objectives and the experience of young people is central to all decision making.
• Set clear performance goals and expectations for each function area within the operations team to ensure EFC programmes are operating to the highest standards and at optimal capacity.
• Ensure the team receive regular CPD and are equipped with the skills and knowledge to best support young people (many with complex needs).

The postholder will support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to have their voices heard, engage in the community, and influence the services they use. Key responsibilities include:

• Organising Mystery Shops: Plan and run mystery shopping activities to ensure members experience high-quality services from statutory and other organisations, providing timely feedback to help providers improve.

• Coordinating Speak Out Meetings: Organise and facilitate monthly Speak Out campaign meetings and support members’ participation in LD Partnership Board meetings.

• Supporting Campaign Participation: Assist members to take part in and report on campaigns at Borough, Londonwide, and UK levels, with the aim of improving services for adults with learning disabilities.

• Supporting Consultations: Help members engage in consultations at local, regional, and national levels, ensuring their views are captured and communicated effectively.

We are seeking someone who can empower our members to stand up for themselves, share their opinions, and actively participate in community life. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside a good understanding of the challenges faced by adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. This role is central to helping members Speak Out in Hounslow and increasing their visibility and influence as valued community members.

Job Title: Service Manager

Location: Derby City (office based)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. As part of this role, you will be required to work from site and participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

This role is central to positioning CSC as the leading small-to-medium-sized science
centre and STEM engagement organisation in the UK. Working with the CEO and

Mind in Croydon is seeking to recruit a full time Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA)  to join our small, dedicated team of Independent Mental Health Advocates working to provide advocacy services to adults subjected to detention under the Mental Health Act in the London Borough of Croydon to ensure they understand, express and exercise their rights, and to enable them to access essential services. The advocacy team also provides Community Mental Health Advocacy for people who are informal patients in psychiatric hospital or living in the community and provides weekly advocacy service at two InMind Healthcare Group hospitals in Croydon.

This role is suitable for a fully qualified Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) with a proven ability to support people under the Mental Health Act. We are not considering trainee positions at this time.

In December 2024 the team was awarded the Quality Performance Mark in Advocacy, a testament to their quality of service providing safe and life-changing support.

SALARY:                          £30,404 per annum

BASED AT:                       Bethlem Royal Hospital, Beckenham BR3 3BX. Advocates are also required to meet clients at different sites throughout Croydon and neighbouring boroughs.

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our Communications and Marketing team. You will lead our social media strategy, manage our channels, and create compelling, story-led content that engages new and existing supporters and raises awareness of World Jewish Relief. You’ll oversee our online voice, working closely with colleagues across communications, fundraising, and programmes to ensure a consistent, authentic presence across all platforms.​

You will be responsible for:

• Planning, designing, editing and publishing engaging, exciting, on-brand content including posts, stories, videos, and graphics collaborating with the Creative team.
• Writing clear, emotive copy tailored for each platform and audience.
• Ensuring ethical storytelling practices that respect the dignity and rights of the people we work with.
• Iterating and delivering a social media strategy aligned with the World Jewish Relief’s mission, brand, and campaigns.
• Managing day-to-day activity across all current platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and support us to develop our presence outside of these platforms.
• Using analytics to track engagement, optimise content, and report on performance and growth, ensuring insights feed into our tactics moving forward.
• Working closely with Head of Marketing to support paid campaigns across digital channels and ensure they are aligned with organic activity.
• Working closely with the fundraising, Marketing & Communication teams to deliver integrated fundraising campaigns and events, aligned with campaign narratives but specific for social media audiences.
• Working closely with Programmers and Partners to ensure they understand what good content looks like so you can maximise across our channels.
• Monitoring social media conversations and engaging in a timely and compassionate way.​

You should have:

• Experience managing and growing social media channels for a brand, ideally a charity, NGO, or values-driven organisation.
• Strong content creation and editing skills (photography, video, and short-form editing) with experiencing creating content for a brand, with demonstrable results.
• Ability to create and tailor content for a variety of global audiences, and report on results.
• Confident using social media analytics and scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite).
• Understanding of ethical communications and safeguarding in international development contexts.
• Expertise using design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Creative thinker with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Outstanding copywriting skills for online audiences and strong understanding of the Jewish community
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and tone of voice.​

About The Role

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. We are organisational members of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and we work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

The Service Manager will provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of a  high-quality service for our clients. This role will drive continuous learning, service improvements, and strong partnership engagement to ensure that KBS provides the best support possible. We are looking for a committed and passionate person who can work as part of a small team to provide a professional, effective, and quality service, ensuring that equal opportunities are available for everyone.
