About the role

You'll be responsible for a specific geographical area, managing both rental and shared ownership properties, working collaboratively with people from a range of organisations. You will play a key role in keeping things running smoothly, providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring we maintain compliance with our policies and processes.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• and contributing to our Housing Options library, actively creating partnerships with other providers to assist with meeting the retirement housing needs of our customers.
• and support future customers with planning for their retirement, helping them to explore all housing options available to them both to ensure they are aware of their options, know how to access them and that they meet their needs.
• applications for retirement housing including initial applications, planning and arranging home visits, and signposting our customers to other housing providers where needed to ensure that their housing needs are met.
• Advocating for our customers with specific needs, working with Occupational Therapists and other professionals, and signposting our customers to external providers to provide access to suitable housing where necessary.
• Giving presentations (e.g. at clergy retirement seminars) and contributing to raising awareness on retirement housing options.

About you

You will need to be comfortable working flexibly as part of a team and able to prioritise your own working. You'll have experience of working in and delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service within a customer-focussed organisation, and will be familiar with various housing options and solutions. You'll also need a good working knowledge of Housing Law as it applies to tenancies.

Other key requirements include:

• communication skills with the ability to engage with our customers professionally and with empathy in person, on the phone and in writing;
• of creating and building partnerships with other agencies to support service delivery;
• in using Microsoft Office (including Outlook), and CRM systems.

A social care or housing management qualification is desirable, as is experience with housing management systems and a current driving licence.

Young Start distributes money from dormant accounts on behalf of the Scottish Government to projects that are run for and by young people aged eight to 25. Since 2012, it has distributed over £60 million to thousands of projects across Scotland. 

You will be part of the Communications and Engagement team responsible for telling the story of our Young Start funding in Scotland to a variety of audiences.

You will also provide communications support and advice to a recently established Young Start development team tasked with ensuring that children and young people are better engaged with and centred in the work of the Young Start funding programme. 

Responsibilities include:
•Leading on all regular announcements of Young Start funding to the media and stakeholders
•Interviewing young people behind the projects to produce content for media features, case studies and online social media channels
•Supporting our funding teams to deliver Young Start customer communications 
•Managing the yearly production of the Young Start Annual Report, at the request of the Scottish Government.
•Supporting the Young Start team to deliver its work putting young people front and centre of the Young Start programme.

About you

You will be comfortable speaking to children and young people about the impact that the funding is making in their lives and telling their stories with duty of care and a creative and engaging approach.
You will be collaborative in nature and enjoy working proactively and in partnership with colleagues across the fund. An open, supportive and flexible team working approach is necessary.

You will be adept at managing a busy and varied workload.

There can be occasional weekend and evening working to suit the needs of young people, but most of our work takes place on weekdays in normal working hours.

About the role

In this role you’ll contribute to the operational delivery of innovative health partnerships for BHF. These partnerships help us to reach, on a mass scale, people at risk or living with heart and circulatory diseases; working with large corporate organisations, other charities, and community groups to provide information, support and skills in innovative ways to improve health awareness, support self-management and reduce health inequalities.

As part of the Health Partnerships team, you’ll support several health partners, delivering agreed activity and maximising the opportunity to reach their workforce and customers with our free health initiatives.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across BHF particularly in our Medical and Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement teams, as well as external partners to meet agreed aims and objectives. You’ll also work closely with other delivery teams (e.g. Clinical Support, Health Content, Community Resuscitation and Customer Service Teams) to create an integrated and seamless customer experience for your partners.

Working arrangements

The role will involve assessing and responding to callers' needs via our telephone and email service providing practical and emotional support and delivering learning sessions about PSP and CBD to health and social care professionals. Overview of Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 years old who have experience of self-harm. Within that age group, you will predominantly be working with young people under 18. The post would suit an experienced support worker, preferably with knowledge of the issues experienced by young people who are trans / non-binary.

You will play a key role in providing them with support and advocacy both on a one to-one basis and within a group setting; working with them to develop their emotional skills which will allow them to cope more effectively with the difficulties in their lives. The nature of the work means role that the successful candidate must focus on inclusivity for the young people.

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in working with young people aged 12-25 and will enjoy the challenge of working with adolescents in difficult circumstances. You will need to be able to work within a non-discriminatory framework, ensuring the services are provided in a qualitative, responsive, and accessible manner.

The Amber Project exists to support any young person (aged 14-25) in Cardiff and the surrounding areas who has experience of self-harm. With our Constellation element working with young people aged 12-25. Since The Amber project was established in 2002 individual support and creative
workshops have been key elements of our work with young people.

Salary: £13,406 per annum (£26,812.00 per annum FTE).

Hours:  20 hours per week. Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager but will include late afternoons and early evenings to facilitate meeting with young people outside of school hours and attending workshops. Occasional weekends.

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

Beechwood Cancer Care is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising & Marketing Manager to join our friendly Team.

Key responsibilities:

• Forging impactful community and corporate level relationships
• Initiating and executing successfully innovative fundraising campaigns and events to drive growth in aid of the Charity’s mission
• Overseeing all aspects of the Charity’s fundraising and marketing, from grant applications and donor relations, to CRM systems and digital marketing
