Job Title: Training Facilitator
Location: Our central office in Islington, just a 10 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of two days a week spent in the office or at one of our services, along with regular travel to various sites across both inner and outer London. Kindly be aware that step free access is not be available at our central office, and some of our other services.
Salary: £30,900
Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours and days as required.
About the role
We have an exiting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join our Talent Development team, part of the wider People and Culture team here at SIG! In this role, you’ll oversee and deliver our specialised training programmes for our staff, residents, participants, and external parties. You'll be at the heart of the full training journey including research training needs, designing and developing training content and delivering sessions both in person and online. No two days are the same.
Some of the key subject areas include:
De-escalation, conflict management, team building, grief and bereavement, housing/Independent living, employability, confidence and self esteem, and resilience
In this role, you'll:
- Support all stages of training and learning from research, planning to creating, delivering and keeping training records up to date whilst managing admin
- Have a good understanding of what care staff need to do their jobs well, whilst making a positive experience for diverse groups (staff, residents, external stakeholders)
- Help bring information come to life, ensuring its engaging for the audience, promoting inclusivity, safeguarding, and a positive learning culture
- Adapt content delivery styles to suit learners from staff to residents and external partners; identifying skills gaps and implementing feedback for improvement
- Deliver training sessions across a variety of locations, including inner and outer London, along with other locations throughout the UK
About you

Purpose:

The role of Financial Controller is a home-based role; however, you will be expected to attend one of our communities regularly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Oversee the month end process, working closely with all finance staff including leading on the month end timetable and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners and assist with the preparation and consolidation of the monthly management accounts.
Maintaining the Trust Staff Establishment Budget and support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners during the annual budget cycle and ensure all budgets are agreed and implemented on the accounting system
Manage the external audit and the yearend processes and complete statutory financial statements to draft stage in accordance with the Charities SORP including all working papers.
Ensure efficient and effective financial control operates throughout the Trust, ensuring all regional and central financial activities comply with legislation, policies, procedures and the delegated authorities.
Manage and administer the Trust bank accounts, credit cards, and cash flow
Developing and maintaining a long-term rolling cash forecast to monitor and maximize cash levels to benefit the organisation.
Undertake the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts and ensure regular review of general ledger, bad debts fixed assets, debtors and creditors etc.
Monthly administration of the Trusts investment portfolio and maintaining a close relationship with the charities investment advisers/managers to ensure sound management and compliance with the Investment Committees agreed policy.
Management & Oversight of the Trusts fixed asset register.
Management and oversight of the Trusts Restricted and Designated Funds.
Vat Compliance including the preparation of quarterly VAT Returns for submission to the HMRC, implementing recommendations from VAT Reviews and ensuring the Trust systems and processes are compliant with HMRC VAT Rules.
To provide critical oversight and administration of the Trust wide insurance arrangements
Responsible for the maintenance, optimisation, and support of the organization’s financial systems and software. To ensure financial data integrity, system efficiency, and the successful implementation of new tools and processes to support finance operations.
Complete statutory returns for Charities Commission & Companies House.
Actively oversee the management of the Trust payroll function (including pensions) ensuring compliance with legislation and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee pay and third-party payments.
Manage and develop the Finance Team members to enable them to fulfil their roles to their full potential, ensuring that they and the department operate within with the Trust Strategic Plan and operational priorities
Being the systems administrator for finance, providing training to finance colleagues and non-finance colleagues, including budget holders as required within their induction.
Advising and assisting the Head of Finance with the development of key financial operational policies that reflect organisational values and comply with best practice and legal requirements.
Alongside the Head of Finance continually review the finance system and processes and explore process and system improvement.
Acting as project manager for specified projects at the direction of the Head of Finance.
Oversight of all operational leases in place at the Trust.
Provide data for the monthly reporting of financial KPIs relevant to the area of finance.
Be the finance system lead, working with colleagues from IT to manage licensing, report development and provide systems training.

Essential:
Professional Accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or Part Qualified (Final year).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROGRAMME LEAD (AYLA)
The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.
The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.
The Church of England's Vision and Strategy for the 2020s has three priorities, one of which is to be a church which is younger and more diverse. As part of this, the House of Bishops want to ensure that a flourishing child, youth and families ministry is within reach of every young person in England.
The NSE is working with the Vision and Strategy team to help deliver this vision through a range of projects in our 'growing faith' pillar which focus on the intersection between church, home and school; aiming to develop the faith life of children and young people, whilst also growing young leaders.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award (AYLA). The AYLA is an existing programme that is offered across all key stages 1 to 4 to participating schools. The Award is completed by pupils and learners across England and Wales and is aimed at developing their leadership skills. The role is expected to lead and manage the effective delivery of this programme including design, quality assurance, engagement of strategic stakeholders and support the financial sustainability of the programme.

Role Overview

1) New Business & Pipeline

• Lead outreach, discovery, and tailored proposals for £10k–£50k+ partnerships (CIC/CSR/ESG, sponsorship, skills/volunteering, payroll giving, in-kind, cause-related marketing).

2) Account Management & Stewardship

Job Purpose
As an Overnight Homeless Shelter Worker, you’ll be part of a small, professional team running Glass Door’s night shelters between November and April. Working alongside at least one other staff member, you’ll be awake and engaged throughout the night, supporting up to 35 guests who are experiencing homelessness.
Your role is about creating a safe, calm, and welcoming space where guests can rest, feel respected, and be treated with dignity. You’ll build trust through friendly conversation, keep an eye on everyone’s wellbeing with regular checks, and step in when problems arise – from offering reassurance to someone in emotional distress, to calmly handling challenging behaviour, to calling emergency services if needed.
Most nights are steady and focused on guest support, but there can be moments of pressure. We’ll provide training so you feel confident and prepared. You’ll also help serve a light breakfast in the morning and ensure our equipment is packed and ready for the next night – with one of you driving the van back to base.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of the overnight team making sure our night shelters are safe, supportive, and welcoming spaces for everyone staying with us. This is an awake, overnight role, you will be alert and engaged for the whole shift. Your main responsibilities will include:

At London City Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to the communities around them, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. About the role
As our Support Care Coordinator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for our valued Crusaders Associates, those who have been on the journey with Urban Saints since we were known as Crusaders. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional supporter experiences. Your work will help continue and build lasting relationships that inspire ongoing support for our mission from those who have journeyed with us over many years.
You'll be responsible for:
- Responding to associate enquiries via phone, email, and post in a timely, warm, and professional manner, with empathy and attention to detail throughout.
- Listening and responding to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships.
- Developing a programme to regularly thank donors for their support.
- Ensuring supporters feel valued and appreciated.
- Maintaining accurate supporter records on our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Working closely with the Head of Development to ensure consistent messaging and supporter journeys.
Location
The role is home-based with regular travel required to visit supporters and to supporter events across the UK.
Please note, it's a requirement of the role that you have a UK driving licence and access to a car.
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised individual who excels in building meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional supporter care. You will have experience of working with supporters, or in a donor relations role, and be an excellent communicator.

About The Role
The Communications Officer will play a critical role in contributing to and delivering The Phoenix Way’s communications
objectives. They will increase public awareness of the challenges faced by Black and Global Majority communities,
highlight the work of our partners, and influence wider change in the funding sector.
This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a strategic thinker with excellent storytelling, advocacy, and stakeholder
engagement skills.
Main duties and responsibilities
Increase Public Awareness
• Develop and implement a communications strategy that frames the lived experiences of racial inequality through
compelling data, case studies, and human stories.
• Commission and manage research and data-gathering projects (e.g. £10k budget for Equity in Philanthropy report).
• Produce and disseminate research findings in accessible, engaging formats (reports, infographics, videos, blogs, press
releases).
• Deliver and oversee a coordinated social media plan across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp).
• Lead the press and media strategy, building relationships with journalists, particularly in Black, Asian, third sector, and
mainstream outlets.
Foster Engagement
• Review, update, and embed TPW’s key messaging framework across all channels.
• Work collaboratively with regional teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure consistent and inclusive messaging.
• Engage and mobilise stakeholders including community organisations, funders, policymakers, and the general public.
• Promote and amplify the work of TPW’s funded partners.
Influence Grant-Making Practices
• Develop and execute advocacy strategies targeting policymakers, government bodies, and philanthropic institutions.
• Create and distribute a Digital Advocacy Toolkit (social media templates, campaign messaging, email campaigns,
petitions).
• Publish and amplify policy briefs, research reports, and case studies to influence systemic change.
• Secure local, regional, and national media coverage to raise awareness of inequities in grant-making.
Empower Marginalised Communities
• Promote TPW’s capacity-building programmes (Community Connect, training, resources, and toolkits).
• Collaborate with partners to co-create resources that help community organisations strengthen governance, visibility,
and fundraising confidence.
• Signpost community groups to external funding opportunities and wider resources.
• Develop creative, inspiring content that educates, informs, and motivates action.
Amplify Impact
• Develop and deliver TPW’s Social Impact Reporting Framework.
• Collect, analyse, and share data on TPW’s impact and funders’ progress toward equitable grant-making.
• Create powerful storytelling content showcasing success stories, lessons learned, and examples of best practice.
• Inspire and engage stakeholders with the Phoenix Way model to foster innovation and collaboration.
General
• To attend and participate in internal and external meetings including London, South and East regions and Ubele
meetings and meetings with key stakeholders.
• To attend relevant training to fulfil the requirements of the job.
• To undertake other duties which may from time to time be required and which are appropriate to the responsibilities
of the post.
• Ensure that The Ubele initiative internal policies and procedures are followed through in all areas of work.

Person Specification
Essential:
• Proven experience in communications, PR, or campaigns, ideally within the charity, community, or social justice
sectors.
• Strong understanding of issues affecting Black and Global Majority communities in the UK.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives across multiple
platforms.
• Experience managing social media, press engagement, and digital campaigns.
• Ability to translate complex data and research into accessible, impactful content.
• Track record of stakeholder engagement, partnership working, and coalition-building.
• Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Desirable:
• Experience in advocacy, influencing, or policy communications.
• Familiarity with the UK philanthropy and grant-making landscape.
• Skills in digital design, video, or multimedia content creation.
• Experience working with community-led organisations.

Flexible Working Location
