This is a new senior leadership role created through Inclusion North’s restructure. It is central to how we rebuild our strategic presence in Yorkshire and Humber while ensuring strong, joined-up working across the Northeast.

You will lead high-level engagement across both regions, with a particular focus on Yorkshire and Humber. In this region, you will help Inclusion North reconnect, build strategic partnerships, and become a visible and valued voice in system-level spaces.

You will take a lead in representing Inclusion North across a range of regional spaces, including Communities of Practice, local authority-led forums, and, where appropriate, ICB-related groups. This means helping shape change, influence commissioning, and ensure that the voices of people with a learning disability, autistic people, and family carers are heard where decisions are made. You will also be expected to challenge constructively when systems fall short of inclusion, equity, or lived experience leadership.

You will line manage the Innovation and Impact Manager and the Good Life Collaborative Programme Lead. This includes overseeing how our delivery connects to system priorities, responds to emerging opportunities, and contributes to our financial sustainability. You will also provide strategic insight to support planning, funding, and future direction.

This is a leadership role for someone who can build trust, speak with credibility, and stand firm in their values. You will need the insight to understand how systems work, and the confidence to push for change when they do not work for the people they are meant to serve.

The Cross-regional Strategic Lead holds senior responsibility for regional engagement, system influence, and delivery oversight at a strategic level.

The role is anchored in Yorkshire and Humber, where you will need to be well-connected and regularly present. You will also work across the Northeast as part of a joined-up, cross-regional team.

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s aid have for over 40 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse? 

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.  

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

This role will work as part of a team to provide emotional and practical support to women and children affected by violence and abuse through our Early Intervention hub and helpline service

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be part of the small network engagement team, working alongside the volunteering and participation team, in the Communities and Participation directorate.

You’ll assist with supporting, championing and enabling effective collaboration with the network of county-based local CPRE charities across England.

This role has a communications focus and involves editing a weekly email newsletter and an intranet. You’ll be the first point of contact for local CPRE staff and volunteers with queries about the work of their local charities. You’ll organise and support online meetings and events and be involved with measuring and reporting the effectiveness of our work.

The Communities and Participation team is mainly home-based, so applications are encouraged from remote workers with the expectation of travel to meetings and events approximately twice a month, for which expenses are covered.

Full training will be given in all aspects of this role, along with ongoing support and opportunities for development.

We're seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator to help shape the future of chemistry education.
 
With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. You'll build strong partnerships with local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks, and collaborate with national organisations to advance our education policy across the UK and Ireland. You’ll monitor educational developments, contribute to policy-influencing documents, and share our views with policy makers and other stakeholders.
 
This role will require extensive travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including attending and running events for teachers and student teachers, working with members, and meeting key education contacts. Expect to travel about twice a week, depending on the academic timetable, and occasionally work weekends and non-core hours.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Regional engagement and delivery: Lead the project management and delivery of education initiatives tailored to the needs of the local education community, aligned with our strategy. This includes understanding teacher needs, delivering direct support (e.g, workshops, online sessions), advising on the use of our resources, and commissioning internal support to enhance the impact of our services.
 
Local curriculum expertise and relevance: Champion and advise on local curricula to ensure our education programmes remain relevant and impactful for all teachers across the UK and Ireland. This includes providing guidance and advice to colleagues and partners on best practices for local curricula.
 
Partnership and stakeholder engagement:

• Develop and maintain successful partnerships and relationships with organisations and education stakeholders in the region (including local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks) to support the effective delivery of our programmes and initiatives. This also includes engaging with local members to act as advocates for chemistry and showcase best practice in school engagement activities.
• Build and maintain strategic links and collaborations with national organisations, government agencies, sister societies, and other policy influencers to inform the development and advancement of our education policy and resources.
 
Contribution to education policy and intelligence: Contribute to our education policy activities by monitoring educational developments, compiling and analysing relevant information, and drafting policy-influencing documents such as consultation responses and position statements. 
 
What we are looking for:

• A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to write effectively for different audiences and deliver clear and engaging presentations both online and in-person.
• Good project management and team working skills and experience, with the ability to work independently.

We create inspirational vocal experiences by exploring, commissioning and performing the finest choral music, nurturing young singers, and delivering an extensive learning and wellbeing offer for people of all ages. We engage 80,000 people each year across a range of venues and communities, from our award-winning Singing Schools projects to Singing Medicine - where our musicians work bedside every week with patients and families at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

We are seeking a part-time Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to help raise funds for these vital projects by researching and writing applications and reports to charitable trusts and foundations, and by supporting grant applications to public funders. We are excited to bring this role in-house, having recently worked with a consultant trusts fundraiser. We currently raise £250,000 pa from trusts and foundations, and enjoy established relationships, including with multi-year funders.

You will join a supportive, dedicated staff team, which includes an Individual Giving Manager and an Individual Giving Officer, and will work closely with both the General Manager and the Director of Education & Participation. You will be an important part of the wider Ex Cathedra 'family' - an energetic and friendly group of musicians who deliver the highest quality performances and participatory experiences.

About the role 

As our chief strategy and governance officer, you’ll report directly to the chief executive and play a key leadership role as part of Sense’s chief officers’ group. You’ll lead business planning, performance, risk, governance, safeguarding, health and safety, internal audit and project management across the charity—ensuring strategy and delivery are aligned at every level. 

You’ll also serve as company secretary and oversee our legal and regulatory compliance with the Charity commission and Companies house, while championing an inclusive approach to governance that empowers disabled people with complex needs. With a team of senior leaders reporting into you, you’ll shape culture, drive improvement, and model the leadership values that make Sense a truly people-centred organisation. 

This is a hybrid role based from either Birmingham or London, with frequent travel.

What you'll do 

• Lead the delivery of Sense’s strategy through robust business planning and performance frameworks.
• Oversee impact measurement and risk management, enabling evidence-led decision-making.
• Act as company secretary, ensure legal and regulatory compliance and high-quality support for our board of trustees and their committees.
• Provide executive leadership of safeguarding and health and safety, fostering a proactive culture of learning.
• Create an environment for project and programme management across Sense that enables clear oversight of delivery through a values-led Project management office.
• Manage internal audit via external providers, ensuring assurance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and board of trustees, providing insight, coordination, and strategic guidance.
• Drive inclusion, equity and sustainability throughout the organisation’s leadership approach. 

About you 

We’re looking for an experienced, values-driven leader who is: 

• Strategic and analytical, with senior-level experience in governance, performance or organisational leadership.
• Highly organised and insightful, with a strong grasp of business planning, impact reporting and risk.
• Experienced in governance leadership, ideally with charity or regulated services knowledge and company secretary experience.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders, including boards, executives, and regulatory bodies.
• Committed to inclusion and the social model of disability, with a track record of embedding equity and diverse perspectives in strategy and operations.
• Digitally confident, with strong understanding of data protection, information governance, and the role of technology in transformation.
