A little bit about the role

As a member of the Admissions & support team, you will be supporting the recruitment and development of new social workers, who will then go onto change the lives of vulnerable children and families. You will play a key role in supporting the completion of all suitability checks (conduct, health and previous social care involvement) for Approach Social Work applicants, managing competing deadlines and multiple applicant cases at any one time.

The role requires a qualified social worker with experience of statutory practice and ideally substantial working knowledge of implementing reasonable adjustments in practice. The role involves primarily risk assessment to inform often difficult discussions around health, conduct and social care experience for applicants to Approach Social Work. Experience of taking part in panels, navigating sensitive discussion around criminal, conduct, previous social care involvement would be required.

Our suitability advisors are social work qualified and experienced members of the team who hold a vital position in ensuring all pre-programme checks are completed fully and fairly, for applicants to Approach Social Work. Suitability advisors are responsible for completing risk assessments where for applicants who disclose criminal, conduct, previous social care matters or disabilities which may need to be considered pre-programme. Suitability advisors also provide organisational guidance on conduct, reasonable adjustments and disability.

A little bit about you 

The ideal applicant must be a qualified social worker who is registered with Social Work England, and be able to prioritise a busy caseload with multiple deadlines. This role will suit someone passionate about the future of the social work profession, and who holds equity, diversity and inclusion at the heart of their work.

The Role

Reporting to the Communications & Engagement Director, this is an exciting role focused on supporting and building PLP’s external profile and audience engagement. The Woodland Trust is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to help us transform our data management processes, integration processes and support with data architecture.

The Role: 
•    Lead the data transformation initiative within a complex environment.
•    Design and implement a data model in relation to our conservation efforts and organisational goals.
•    Lead the design of integration patterns to ensure data flows between solutions can be maintained and supported.

We are looking for candidates who have the following:
•    Experience leading a data transformation initiative within complex environments.
•    Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and data modelling.

•    Strong communication skills to build and maintain key stakeholder, business units and technology department relationships.
•    Experience managing a transition from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
•    Strong skills using Azure data technologies with the knowledge of the practical application.

About the role

Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

About you

-Advanced knowledge of global safeguarding frameworks, including protection of vulnerable groups, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and child safeguarding and how they apply in humanitarian contexts.

The Role

The Pantry Coordinator will play a vital hands-on role in both developing and managing the daily operations of these new community food pantries.  They will be responsible for managing food supplies, while embedding food safety guidelines and best practices at every stage.  They will implement effective systems to ensure smooth service delivery while continuously consulting with the community to refine and improve the pantries’ operations.

As a critical role in the success of the trial, the Pantry Coordinator will monitor performance, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement to enhance service quality. Additionally, they will create and maintain an inclusive, welcoming space where individuals and families can access food with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Collaborate with supply chain, member services, and depot teams to ensure pantries receive an appropriate mix of high-quality, nutritious and culturally appropriate food that meets community needs
• Oversee and provide hands-on support with receiving, storing, and displaying food across all pantry sites
• Monitor and manage inventory to ensure adequate food for all attendees and minimise any waste

About the opportunity

We're in a fantastic position to have recently partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. 

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Dorset (Sturminster Newton, Ferndown, Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury).

• The South West Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The South West Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

This role requires a skilled editor and communicator with significant experience in print publications or literary editing who is dedicated to serving the charity’s mission through our publication and wider team collaboration.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Governance, Compliance and Risk to work across Christian Aid and its subsidiaries to be the trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

As Head of Governance, Compliance and Risk you will:

-Provide expert advice on legal structures for subsidiaries, including Christian Aid Ireland.

-Provide high quality briefings with suggested solutions having sought professional advice where more specialist knowledge is required

-Establish and implement a comprehensive risk management framework including registers and appetite statements to guide directorate-level risk management.

-Develop a compliance culture covering data protection, money laundering, counter-terrorism, sanctions management, fraud prevention, and misuse of funds.

-Complete all regulatory filings (Charity Commission, OSCR, Companies House, ICO) within deadlines to avoid penalties.
