My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a multi-award-winning self-advocacy charity uniquely run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998.  The charity delivers a diverse range of innovative user led projects that enhance and empower the lives of adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire.  These established projects include a fee earning training and consultancy Professional Services team, gig buddy, travel buddy scheme, a nightclub, campaigns and self-advocacy groups.

We are now looking for a committed individual to join our Professional Services team. The role holder will help to coordinate projects to increase skills, improve health, and build confidence and independence for our members with a learning disability. The role will involve project coordination of our exciting new Pioneering Good Health project and our award-winning Digital Inclusion project.  Please note that this role does not require an IT technician/specialist; a basic, every day, standard, all round understanding of using a laptop/device will suffice.

The post calls for an individual with excellent project coordination, administration, and communication skills. We need a resilient individual who thrives on regular face-to-face interaction with beneficiaries. The successful candidate will need to show a passion for empowering and raising the voices of people with learning disabilities.

The Ripple Pond is a charity that supports adult family members of physically and/or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. Many of these individuals and family members are hard to reach and often isolated.

Your role will be to ensure that more and more of the military community, professionals and other interested parties know who we are and how to access our support.

You will also help to organise our exciting programme of online talks and activities for our Members (service-users) to help ensure they are well-informed, involved and feel part of a supportive community. Making sure that Members are always involved in generating ideas and production.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic and determined, but you also need to be invested in our mission as a charity and care about people.

This role is about;

• working with a wide range of groups and individuals to help raise awareness of the charity and to create opportunities to identify new Members (service users);

• being responsible for networking, identifying, and establishing partnerships with key individuals and organisations and nurturing existing relationships;

• developing and rolling out strategies to engage with hard-to-reach and isolated military carers and families;

• coordinating a range of activities (mainly online) to deliver information to Members, potential Members, referrers, and other stakeholders. These will include online talks from staff, Members and other “subject matter experts”; and

• helping to ensure the charity continues to understand the developing needs of its Members.

Although the role is home-based, you will not be working in isolation; you will be supported by the managers and workforce.

All our staff are home-based, and we maintain a strong caring culture of teamwork, mutual support and promoting wellbeing at work.

You may be exposed to traumatic narratives from our Membership, for many this is a reality in their lives. We do provide an extensive framework of clinical and managerial support but you do need to be an emotionally and psychologically resilient individual.

We are looking for Volunteer Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing our volunteer programme

Key duties will include;

Recruiting volunteers through a variety of job boards, community pages and platforms.

Arranging and carrying out interviews with potential volunteers to assess the value and contribution they could offer the charity.

Carrying out new volunteer inductions to ensure they are confident and competent to deliver their responsibilities as a UCARE volunteer.

Supporting the continued development of existing volunteers

Maintaining accurate volunteer records to monitor training, development and performance.

Working with UCARE colleagues to ensure we have an engaged pool of volunteers that meets the resource needs of the charity.

Coordinate awareness events such as stalls, talks and workshops to build awareness within the Oxfordshire community of the mission of the charity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop content for various RABI communication channels including newsletters, intranet and website.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. It happens every five minutes in the UK and changes lives instantly. Recovery is tough, but with the right specialist support and a ton of courage and determination, the brain can adapt.

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy and numeracy levels amongst people in prison?

Shannon Trust deliver literacy and numeracy programmes to thousands of people in prison each year. To support the development of further learning and volunteering opportunities post-release, we are establishing a strategic partnership with fellow charity Read Easy. We are now seeking to recruit a Post-Release Pathways Co-ordinator to develop this partnership on the ground, who will develop links between Shannon Trust prison programmes and Read Easy community groups.

Candidates for this role will need to demonstrate lived experience of the criminal justice system.

This is a home-based role but does require occasional travel around the UK.

This full time role involves processing orders from online, phone and post and answering queries. 

As part of the Supporter Services team:

• Respond to customer queries received by telephone, letter, and email, always providing a high standard of customer service.
• Process books, subscriptions and events orders received by post, telephone and online.
• Pack and post orders that require sending from the office.
• Process donations received by all forms, including web donations.
• Allocate payments received by BACS, cheque, or credit card.
• Conduct sales ledger reconciliations.
• Open and distribute the post.
• Assist in credit control.
• Manage office stock levels.
• Assist in processing of renewals and subscription releases.
• Order office and event stock.
• Circulate advance copies.
• Assist finance team with statements to account.
• Administrative support to the Operations team as required.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high degree of confident on the phone.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, order processing and accounts packages.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable and consistent.
• Ability to work in a team with a flexible and positive attitude towards sharing tasks and workloads.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children a hope and a future. We are looking for a well-organised, relational leader who is passionate about the way TLG enables local churches across the UK to get alongside struggling families in their communities. The Church Relationships Lead will work as part of the national Volunteer Programmes (VP) Team, reporting to the Early Intervention Network Support Manager and collaborating with staff responsible for programme training and development.

This is an exciting time to join our growing VP team to support an increasing number of churches who have chosen to partner with TLG through running the Early Intervention (EI) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting EI Coordinators to effectively run their centres, as well as training new EI coach teams.

TLG is a Christian charity and, as a team, we want to bring our faith to the work we do; as such, we are recruiting an individual with a strong and vibrant Christian faith. TLG is also committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the DBS. The role is home based with quick and easy access to Wales and the Midlands due to travel requirements. You will also be expected to attend events and meetings during the year as required, along with visits to the National Support Centre in West Yorkshire.
