Purpose/Summary of role
We are looking for two enthusiastic volunteers to be a part of the Young Company programme. To support the development, confidence, and wellbeing of young women aged 18-25 through engaging group activities, acting, drama, rehearsals, theatre skills training and a safe, inclusive environment. This role is a one-yearplacement. October 2025- July 2026
Description of tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- · Build positive working relationships with young people
- · Assist with the lead facilitator(s) workshops, group games, or discussions
- · Provide a listening ear and positive encouragement
- · Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times

These sessions will be delivered by our, Drama School partners and Clean Break Artists. The Young Company Support Worker will be on hand for any support needs outside of the space.

The Company will rehearse and perform a short play by Emma Dennis Edwards, commissioned playwright for the Young Company. The play will be directed by Clean Break’s Associate Artistic Director and will be produced at a London venue, for audiences of loved ones, peers and public.

Training and Support

We offer a tour of our exhibitions with the artist(s) or a member of staff prior to their opening. This will give you a first hand insight into the concept, processes and artist’s vision behind the exhibition.

Wekume is a youth-led movement empowering students to reach their full potential by breaking barriers to sexual and reproductive health through collaboration, empathy, innovation, and community. Our core product — the Wekume app — offers university students trusted, discreet access to tools like SafeChat, QuickTest, ARV Corner, and SRH product ordering. Through our social media platforms and on-campus engagements, we extend this impact, helping students make informed choices and rewrite the narrative for healthy sexual and reproductive health in Uganda.
Position Overview
The Graphic Design Team Lead will play a central role in conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the creation of compelling visual content that aligns with WEKUME’s mission and brand identity. This individual will lead a team of graphic designers to produce high-quality, impactful visuals for various platforms and initiatives, enhancing WEKUME's communication and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate between the Graphic Design Team and other stakeholders within WEKUME to ensure the success and visual consistency of all WEKUME communications. Schedule and lead design planning meetings before key campaigns or projects to ensure clear purpose, messaging, and visual goals are established. Schedule and lead design review and debrief sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of visual assets against stated plans and objectives. Document and evaluate each design project, collecting feedback and reporting key outcomes to inform future visual strategy. Supervise remote graphic design volunteers, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to brand guidelines. Lead the Graphic Design Team, exemplifying WEKUME values, to ensure fulfillment of the following responsibilities of the Design Team: Plan and execute the creation of visual assets for WEKUME events, campaigns, reports, and digital platforms. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, or a related field. Minimum 4 years’ experience in graphic design, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or senior design role, preferably within a non-profit or social impact context. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail in visual execution. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident working with diverse stakeholders including internal teams, partners, and beneficiaries. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with video editing tools and digital asset management. Volunteer for the friendliest club in London!
About the opportunity
Can you spare 2 hours a week on a Thursday evening to work with some of the most friendly, welcoming people you’ll ever meet? If so, then please come and help our volunteers to organise fun activities at our ever-growing club for people with learning disabilities. No previous experience is needed, you just need a caring attitude and sense of fun.
Our club is split into two age groups 14-25 yrs (Juniors Club) and 25 yrs+ (Vets Club). You have a chance to make a real difference to either group by creating new experiences, helping our members to grow in confidence, build friendships and learn new skills. Our specialist club leaders will support and train you and you’ll benefit from working in a very rewarding environment!
What are we looking for?
- You do not need previous experience, just an open mind and a positive attitude towards disability.
- You need to be willing to have fun and commit to The Vets Club or Juniors Club, on at least a fortnightly basis.
- You will need enthusiasm and good communication
- Available regularly (but not necessarily every week) on Thursdays between 7pm and 9pm.

Chatterbox Befrienders offer one-to-one telephone support and will call a client once a week offering companionship and a listening ear for an individual who might otherwise go unheard. Chatterbox volunteers befriend a variety of people including carers, socially isolated individuals who are struggling with loneliness, people with ill health and those that have been bereaved.

- Ensuring immediate contact with the Chatterbox Coordinators if you feel that the client might be a risk to themselves or others
- Liaising with the Chatterbox Coordinator on a regular basis regarding the service, as well as discussing personal learning and development needs
- Respecting service standards, appropriate boundaries and recognising the range of policies and procedures that impact on befriending vulnerable adults

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Time Commitment: 6 evening meetings in Watford per year + occasional input
We are looking for new Committee Members with lived experience of migration, asylum, or the refugee system.
At Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership, we work to support and empower people rebuilding their lives in the Watford area after displacement. We do this in a number of ways including a Casework drop-in and Social Hub on a Tuesday 11.30-1.30 at St Mary’s Church, Watford, ESOL classes and events. As part of our commitment to inclusion and representation, as well as having a recent review of our strategy, we are actively seeking applications from asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants to help shape our work at a strategic level.
What You’ll Do:
Join our committee and trustees in guiding the organisation’s direction
Offer insight, challenge, and support to ensure our work meets the real needs of our communities
Help us build a more inclusive and impactful charity
Establish a Client Advisory Group with other members of the committee

Position: Law Support Officer (remote position)
Role: Volunteering position for 2 hours a week (across 2 mornings a week)
Scope:
Along with all other staff, the worker may be required to:
a) carry out legal research of case outcomes, providing brief (approximately 200 words) case summaries in civil law, criminal law and family law.
b) assist with the general day to day administration (including providing case updates to clients and other third parties, drafting of documents and helping to create and update a monthly newsletter)
c) supervise and mentor student volunteers;
d) support the Centre in contact with the public, legal practitioners and other community sector organisations;

Book volunteers help to keep Age UK charity shops running like clockwork and are an essential part of our retail division. Our charity shops raise vital funds, which aid and support a wide range of services of which Age UK delivers. What will you be doing?
In this role, you will be assisting the manager and wider team with ensuring that we have fresh and good quality stock available throughout our book department.

We Stand - Formally Mosac provide a free National Helpline service to non abusing parents and carers of sexually abused children. We are currently seeking Helpline Volunteers to provide support, information and a listening ear to parents and carers whose children have been sexually abused.
We know a caring, sensitive and non judgemental response can make a real difference to someone seeking support. We are looking for volunteers with good verbal, listening and communication skills, no previous experience on a helpline is required. Trained, experienced staff will always be on hand to provide support and guidance.
We expecially welcone volunteers who speak additional languages, from all communities, to help us support more parents from diverse backgrounds, Welsh speakers are also required as part of our South East Wales support project
Helpline Volunteers will:
- Receive full training prior to the formal induction (3 week training programme) Dates to be confirmed
- Commit to volunteer 4 hours per week for a minimum of 1 year
- Receive ongoing support and supervision from a friendly team
- Make a difference to the lives of families impacted by child sexual abuse
