As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· keeping financial records from fundraising events

· encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong professional background in adult social care, counselling or mental health services to join a well-established and effective Board, and to contribute their experience to ensure that Wimbledon Guild achieves its goals. The Committee Chair will be responsible for representing the Talking Therapies Committee at Board meetings, as well as fulfilling all of the general duties of an active trustee. These include helping to develop strategy, providing oversight, and promoting the highest standards of corporate governance.

About You

The Talking Therapies Committee Chair should demonstrate the following qualities:

- A clear and confident communicator who has experience working at a senior level.

- An ability to take over existing projects and ensure that these are on track for successful delivery.

- A strong professional background in adult social care, mental health services, counselling or related professions

- A willingness to be a committed Board member, and to contribute actively to a skilled and experienced Board.

- A commitment to Wimbledon Guild’s objectives and to the Merton community.

The League of Remembrance have supported Armed Forces veterans, and their families for over 100 years. At the outset they supported the widows of those who never returned from the Great War, and, as they developed, extended this support to encompass all veterans who have served with the Forces of the Crown; their widows, spouses, and dependents; retired nursing staff and, more recently, to those suffering from illness or disability in order to aid their recovery. Today, many of their Remembrance Workers deliver varied volunteer services, mainly in Greater London, but with a presence also in Bucks and Essex. This service to the community maintains and improves individual health and wellbeing, offers companionship and social interaction, and provides valuable community support.

The League of Remembrance is seeking to strengthen its Board with the appointment of two new Trustees. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting veterans and those affected by disability, and who can help shape the future of the charity as they continue to grow and evolve.

In particular, we are keen to hear from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Entrepreneurship
• Fundraising and income generation
• Third sector leadership
• Business development or commercial strategy

We are a not for profit organization supporting community-based organic Arabica coffee Farming and Women Empowerment through community-based tourism.

In every Nepali village, many youths have been flown away, mostly to the Middle- East & other developed country for a better quality of life and income. Sadly, lots of youths need to do very hard & risky jobs just for few hundred dollars salary a month and sometimes they lost their life while working a harsh condition on these countries. Our organization is slowly motivating these local youths and rural women to engage in sustainable cash crops farming, like arabica coffee farming and Beekeeping and other income-generating works within their village and reusing their land with modern Agriculture practices and also offering local women’s a fair pay job to make them financially independent to support their families.

We are not for profit organization registered with the Nepal Government based in Sarangkot Pandeli village near the Tourism capital of Nepal (Pokhara) which aims at giving the knowledge to Local farmers to produce Organic Arabica Coffee,Organic Bee Farming and also offers new opportunities to the rural womens by involving into the community based tourism.

This is the role for the interested volunteer who has great experience in graphic design and can create an outstanding sticker for our locally produced Bee Pollen from our community farmers. We need this sticker to design and print as a label on our Glass jars to sell Bee pollen in the market and to travelers who come to our place for a visit.

At MS Society all our activities and services are shaped by our MS community – people affected by MS, volunteers, staff and other experts. We aim to raise as much awareness as possible about MS, to ensure that people with MS have the support and information they need.

We've been successful in securing funding from Wales and West Utilities for a 'test and learn' Community Connections project (covering Wales and the South West of England) which will run until March 2026. 

Community Connections aims to: 

• Connect people with, and affected by, MS across Wales and the South West of England (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire) with services, activities and resources to enable them to live well with MS.
• Develop links with local service providers which enable people with, and affected by, MS to access support and activities in their local areas, whilst improving connections within the community
• Provide information and guidance on a range of subjects, including advice about finances, cost of living-related information, energy efficiency information, carbon monoxide awareness and the Priority Service Register. 

As part of the project, we’re looking for volunteers to deliver MS Awareness sessions to partner organisations that the project will signpost to (such as Citizens Advice Bureau). MS Awareness volunteers will help us to ensure that these partner organisations are equipped to support people with MS (who will be accessing their activities and services). To help people to understand how people with MS feel.

Here’s an overview of what will be involved - 

• Delivering talks (via Zoom/Teams) to organisations to increase their understanding of MS and its symptoms. 

• Signposting to the relevant MS Society team for further information and practical support, as required.

• Note taking and helping us understand how effective sessions were 

• Attending regular volunteer support groups, where you will debrief and share experiences with other volunteers, as well as receive support from your supervisor.

About the position
