Volunteering at Memory Walk is an incredible experience. You and hundreds of others across the country will help us to run 12 inspiring walks that raise vital funds, providing help and hope to people affected by dementia. Memory Walks simply couldn't happen without incredible volunteers, and we do our best to make it a day to remember. 

There are three roles to choose from when volunteering at a Memory Walk:

• Event Site - Volunteer roles include selling merchandise and handing out medals at the finish line.
• Route Marshal - Route volunteers are essential to guide walkers and keep enthusiasm high. All route marshals will be paired, so you'll never be alone on the route.
• Back Markers - Back markers have the unique advantage of walking the whole route alongside our participants, taking down route signage and releasing route marshals along the way.

You can expect:

• A fantastic day outdoors in your local community. 
• A face-to-face briefing from the Events Team before the event starts where you'll chat through your role for the day. There'll be plenty of time to ask any questions you may have.
• A chance to explore the event site and hang a tag on the Memory Walk Memory Tree in honour of your loved ones.
• Satisfaction, knowing that you're helping to raise vital funds and providing help and hope to people affected by dementia. 
• Volunteer arrival time is typically 8:45am.
• You’ll need to be able to commit to around 6 hours of volunteering at the event. Don’t worry if you can’t stick around for the whole day, just make sure to get in touch with us to let us know your availability.

London - Sunday 5th October 2025

I am short of time so need a helper or helpers to draft up bids for restoration and enhancement works to Grade I listed St Marys Church Sompting BN15 0AZ and II* listed St Marys church Binsted BN18 0LL (each having 2 charities PCC and Friends), also for Sustainable Sussex CIO's community farm projects at Sompting BN15 0EW.  It might be possible to pay a freelancer but in the first instance we are seeking appropriately experienced bidwriting volunteers who could enjoy helping us raise grants for any of these projects.

Volunteers will be provided with full training and induction. If they have not yet completed Safeguaridng Level 2 (minimum) this will need to be completed early in role. There is an expectation that the volunteer will attend an annual residential CPD event and also occasional regional or county meetings throughout the year.

IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) is a UK-registered animal welfare charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need. 

Since our first project based in Borneo in 2009, we have helped over 50,000 animals across the globe. • Connect with your community: Tap into local Freecycle groups, social media, and even your neighborhood to find exciting items to auction.

• Reach out to businesses: Approach local businesses for new, unused donations. It could be products, services, or gift cards that can help boost the auction's success.

• Spread the word: Share the auctions within your network to encourage bidding and excitement around the cause.

Ref: V256 | Communication Service Supporter | Oxfordshire

We’re looking for 1 or 2 volunteers over the age of 18 years old, to provide communication support to stroke survivors at some of our support groups in the OX16 Banbury area, with the potential to volunteer in wider Oxfordshire as well.

You’ll be volunteering fortnightly on a Wednesday morning between 10:30am and 12:30pm. In addition to a regular commitment on a Wednesday morning there may be additional hours required. The date and time for these would vary depending on the needs of the of the stroke survivors we were supporting at the time but advance notice would be given.

We are looking for communication service supporters to assist stroke survivors in developing their communication skills in a group setting.

The volunteers will:

· Be an effective communication service supporter you need great listening skills and be able to support people in an empathetic and non-judgemental way.

· Be willing to learn and use the technique, called ‘supported conversation’, that is used to support people with communication difficulties.

If you are someone who enjoys conversation, meeting new people and likes to try new things, then this role might be a good one for you.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role.

At RSPCA Buckinghamshire South Branch, our Volunteer Events Assistants are vital in helping us raise the funds we need to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome or release hundreds of animals each year!

Romsey charity looking for volunteer Trustees – do you have some time to spare to support this long-established and well-known local cancer support charity?

Romsey Cancer Support Centre (Jane Scarth House and Jane’s Charity Shop) is looking to appoint two Trustees. Applications from people with experience in finance and fundraising are specifically welcomed.  Volunteering with Victim Support in Kent

As a Volunteer in Kent your role will include:

• Supporting victims of crime in our multi-crime service
• Delivering one-to-one support mainly by speaking with clients over the telephone or face to face
• Working alongside our dedicated Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager and Caseworkers to provide a client-led service
• Providing the validation, reflect and inform elements of our service framework
• Monthly social events as well as invitation to further presentations with existing multi-agency partners.

What do we ask of you?

In order to join us as a Service Delivery Volunteer, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or over.
• Be able to volunteer for at least 3 hours per week, for at least 12 months.
• Undertake training over a 10-week period – this includes five virtual training days as well as completing a workbook and online learning modules.
• Undertake an enhanced DBS check & be part of the DBS update service.
• Be able to provide two satisfactory references.
• Have an active email address that you are comfortable using in order to engage with VS communications.

• All Victim Support volunteers are entitled to out-of-pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering, including travel and lunch.

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.
