About the role 

As a Regional Fundraising Volunteer, you will support Rethink Mental Illness in generating income, raising awareness, and building community engagement through local fundraising initiatives. The role will involve event planning and support, and public engagement to help achieve regional fundraising goals. 

You will play a major part in bringing to life regional fundraising activities in line with our “Rethink in the Community" concept and increase regional awareness to generate much needed additional income and amplify the impact of the work Rethink Mental Illness do.

You will receive training and regular supervision to ensure you feel confident in your role. 

Regional locations

Whilst this is a home based role, you will occasionally attend events within your region. We're particularly interested in receiving applications from people who live in the following areas:

What you will be doing as a Regional Fundraising Volunteer: 

• Support and assist in organising and participating in local fundraising events.

• Help with event logistics, set-up, and participant engagement to ensure smooth delivery. 

• Take part in local initiatives acquiring donors and do it yourself fundraisers. 

• Increase awareness of the organisation’s work by helping to promote regional fundraising activity. 

• Represent the organisation at schools, community groups, and public events, delivering presentations to inspire support. 

• Communicate with supporters via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings with the fundraising team and supporters to share updates and ideas.

Since our first project based in Borneo in 2009, we have helped over 50,000 animals across the globe. Can you help us by providing a calm, safe, and caring environment for our small furries whilst we find them their fur-ever home?

Often when we think about animal fostering, cats, and dogs spring to mind, but have you ever thought about fostering our smaller animals? The RSPCA received more than 5,000 reports last year about rabbits and other small furries relating to neglect or abandonment and rescued an average of 340 small furries a month! To help us with the rehoming of these small animals, we are actively looking to add to our fantastic team of volunteer fosterers.

As a small animal fosterer, you would play an essential role in providing the animals in our care with a temporary home whilst they are being rehomed. Like us, even small furries have specific needs and requirements, but rest assured, once we have guided you through the fostering process the animal centre will ensure that you have all the necessary guidance, equipment, food, and veterinary care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide them with care, safe suitable housing, and space for playtime, as outlined in our policies and guidelines.

• Ensure that they are groomed if appropriate and fed and watered.

• Provide them with suitable and clean bedding to keep them cosy.

• Give them lots of attention and plenty of cuddles as they are very sociable animals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Volunteers aged 18 or over who have had plenty of experience of caring for animals.

• Fostering experience is beneficial but not essential as training is provided.

• For their wellbeing, our small furries may need to be fostered in pairs, so please bear this in mind.

• Any existing pets or animals need to have been spayed/neutered (some medical reasons may mean they cannot be so, please let us know if this is the case).

• You should be located in Buckinghamshire or within a reasonable distance.

We're seeking a volunteer who can take up the challenge of being our first ever Graphic Designer at URBAN YOUTH. A brand new youth work organisation in London.

Who Are We?

We're setting up a new youth project in London called Urban Youth, that aims to create a positive community for young people that will offer a number of activities and programmes that forge connections by getting young people together and away from their phones and social media to active take part in fun and engaginging interactive activities that create memories, boost confidence and resilence and teach key skills for life that young people can take with them into adulthood, helping to build their future.

In a city grappling with the cost of living crisis, rising crime rates, and pervasive worry, it's easy to feel helpless. London is a city of dreams, but for many young people, it can also present unique challenges. Access to positive spaces, mentorship, and opportunities to develop crucial life skills can be limited. We saw a need for a fresh, vibrant approach to youth work – a place where young voices are heard, and potential is unleashed.

The organisation empowers young women to become economically independent do they can make informed decisions about their lives.

Menstrual health management related issues, basic quality education for all, women not embracing leadership positions

We offer menstrual health trainings in both schools and in community, we work with parents and local leaders to ensure that there is community awareness in regards to issues affect the girl child and women, we have started/opened up clubs in schools where students can get accurate information about their lives and these clubs also encourage students to stay in school. We encourage young girls to take up leadership positions right from lower class level, they can be prefects at school, local leaders for young women in their communities. Lots of training and community awareness programs.

Fundraising and Partnership Manager

Volunteer Role Description (remote, unpaid)

Key Responsibilities

1. Resource Mobilisation & Grant Writing: Identify and pursue funding opportunities from local, regional, and international donors (foundations, embassies, INGOs, private sector, etc.).

2. Lead proposal writing and development of high-quality grant applications in line with ESAETE’s mission and programming priorities.

3. Track and respond to calls for proposals, concept notes, and partnership opportunities.

4. Donor Engagement & Reporting

5. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners.

6. Ensure timely and quality reporting, including donor communications, progress updates, and impact stories.

7. Organise donor visits and presentations to showcase our work and impact.

8. Strategic Partnerships Development: Initiate and maintain strategic partnerships with organisations, networks, and institutions aligned with our vision.

Represent ESAETE Foundation in relevant fundraising and partnership forums.

Support in developing MOUs, partnership frameworks, and collaborative initiatives.

Internal Capacity Building: Build staff and volunteer capacity in fundraising, proposal writing, and partner engagement.

Support the development of fundraising tools, systems, and databases.
