About the role
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring Parkinson's UK is compliant with regulatory standards, charity law, and data protection legislation,
You'll oversee the charity's Risk Management Framework and manage the internal audit contract and delivery plan. You will also support the Chief Finance and Operating Officer and work closely with the Company Secretary to ensure efficient governance and provide expert advice on compliance to support the charity's strategic development and growth.
As the designated Data Protection Officer for Parkinson’s UK, this role will work with heads of department and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that staff and volunteers are supported in how to comply with the legislation.
What you'll do

Offer guidance on risk, governance, data protection, and compliance to Parkinson’s UK, enhancing awareness and developing a compliance culture across the organisation.

Lead the Risk and Assurance team, including the governance support and compliance functions.

Manage and improve the Data Protection and Information Governance environment, collaborating with technology teams to ensure infrastructure and tools are compliant, while staying updated on legal changes.

Lead the internal audit function (outsourced)

Lead the development of our Risk Management Framework, with clear definition of strategic and operational risks. Report to ELT and trustees on risk management. Ensure appropriate mitigations are in place, including appropriate insurance coverage.
What you'll bring

Significant experience of advising on charity and data protection law.

Finance Director
We are seeking an experienced senior finance leader to drive financial strategy and sustainability across a national charity.
Position: Finance Director
Salary: £75,000 (£45,000 pro-rata)
Location: Flexible, 1 day in Doncaster but not essential
Hours: 21 per week (part time)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for long term financial sustainability, robust controls and a strong commercial approach. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO, Board and Directors to deliver the charity’s strategic ambitions and build a positive, collaborative culture.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead financial planning, reporting and strategic oversight for the organisation
• Provide expert advice to the Board, CEO and leadership team on all financial matters
• Strengthen commerciality and oversee development of a sustainable business model
• Lead programmes to simplify processes, improve efficiency and reduce financial risk
• Act as Company Secretary ensuring legal, regulatory and governance compliance
• Oversee risk management frameworks and insurance provision
• Build strong business partnering relationships, particularly with Operations
• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and motivation
• Lead supplier relationships including banks, auditors, insurers and pension advisers
• Oversee major contracts, grant reporting and financial controls
• Provide leadership on property negotiations, contracts and legal matters related to finance
• Guide and monitor financial performance, ensuring targets are achieved
• Ensure all financial and legal obligations are met across the charity’s activities
About You
You will bring significant senior level finance experience along with credibility, clarity and the ability to influence at all levels.
Essential skills and experience:
• Extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally within the charity sector
• Strong understanding of financial strategy, business planning and risk management
• Proven ability to analyse complex financial information and present clear recommendations
• Experience leading and developing a finance team
• Knowledge of charity governance, regulatory compliance and statutory reporting
• Skilled in building commercial models and driving long term sustainability
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of business partnering models and effective cross organisational working
Desirable:
• Company Secretary or governance qualification
• Experience leading finance transformations or major organisational change programmes

CPAG is seeking an AI Coordinator for a two-year fixed term to support our work in the responsible use of AI. In this role, you will lead on planning, delivering, and monitoring AI projects in collaboration with our partner organisations. This work involves the ongoing protection of CPAG's intellectual property and reputation as a sector leader. You’ll carry out regular evaluation of each project and regularly update stakeholders with performance metrics, user feedback, and impact assessments.
This new role also involves developing training materials and delivering sessions to upskill CPAG staff in AI technologies, with tailored materials for the needs of different teams. You will ‘own’ and maintain the relevant internal policy documents and processes for AI use and will oversee the use and optimisation of AI tools across the organisation. Alongside colleagues, you’ll manage risk and compliance (including legal and ethical standards) to ensure responsible AI adoption that is fully compatible with CPAG’s mission. You’ll monitor developments in AI, assessing new products for risk and opportunity, and share lessons learned across the charity.
We’re looking for someone with strong project coordination skills, experience of managing multiple stakeholders, and a keen interest in and experience of AI and emerging technologies.

The Brain Tumour Charity is leading the way in research, support, and advocacy for everyone affect by brain tumours. Our mission is simple but urgent: to accelerate a cure for brain tumours and improve life for everyone affected by this devastating disease.
We have a five-year strategy with three strategic priorities: to transform the research landscape, to raise voices to campaign for change, and to improve quality of life through providing support and best care for everyone diagnosed with a brain tumour. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance and Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Finance, Governance, Planning and Performance, IT Services, and Facilities teams. The role is also Company Secretary and SLT Lead for the Finance Committee and Governance & Ethics Committee of The Charity. The postholder leads a department of c.15 colleagues, with five direct reports including three Heads of Teams covering Finance, IT and Planning and Performance; a Data Governance Manager; and a Facilities Manager.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re seeking a qualified accountant with strong, senior leadership experience in a similar role from within any sector. Whatever sector you come from, you will be a self-assured professional who can partner with others who don't have your financial background to support strategic change.
You’ll be resourceful and innovative, keen to work alongside other leaders across The Charity to ensure our finances are secure, sustainable, and utilised for the greatest impact for the brain tumour community. You will have excellent business partnering skills and will operate as a strategic adviser and critical friend to the CEO, the wider Senior Leadership Team, and the board of trustees.
This role leads a diverse range of enabling functions at The Charity, and a background of leading multi-disciplinary teams, and of leading planning and governance strategies and processes will be important.
