Morgan Hunt are working with a North West based Housing Association who are looking to recruit a Tenancy Sustainment Coach to cover the Greater Manchester area.
The role
As a Tenancy Sustainment Coach you will be responsible for a caseload and will be tasked with identifying those who may be vulnerable or at risk of failing to sustain a tenancy both before and during the tenancy. Using a strengths - based approach, you will focus and encourage the development of tenants skills, whilst also recognising any additional tools and skills needed to allow for a successful tenancy to be maintained and independent living achieved.
Duties and responsibilities
- Undertake initial assessments to establish customer needs and opportunities and potential barriers to successful tenancy management
- Work with customers to develop a plan with clear outcomes and routes to achievement
- Provide advice and guidance around welfare support, welfare benefits and financial inclusion
- Encourage financial independence by providing customers with the information to make informed choices
- Signpost customers to external organisations for additional support where required
- Provide emotional support to ensure the well being of customers at all times
- Work with customers to provide a risk management plan with clear ways in which these risks can be managed
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are dealt with efficiently and in line with guidelines
The candidate
- Experience in a similar role as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer / Housing Officer / ASB Officer
- An understanding of Housing Management principles and legislation
- A strong understanding of Tenancy Agreements and explaining the obligations of these to a customer
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both customers and professional networks
- Experience of person - centred, strength - based coaching and support
- A knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable individuals
This is a temporary post to be filled whilst the client recruits permanently for the position. An Enhanced DBS is needed for this role as well as access to a vehicle and a full driving licence. Candidates will be required to travel across Greater Manchester.

Supported Housing Assistant (Waking Nights) - Homelessness

We are seeking people who are interested in work waking nights, to provide cover in our Accommodation Services in Waltham Forest, Lewisham or Greenwich. We have a variety of working hours available, including working weekends or Bank holidays.
Working within a supported accommodation setting, you will be joining team of dedicated staff providing a safe and nurturing environment for over 100 young people (aged 16 and over). Our waking night staff provide an overnight point of contact for our residents and are responsible for the building management overnight.

As a Night Supported Housing Assistant, you will take part in the overnight running of the schemes. Your role is a key one within the service, as you will be the point of contact for incidents, emergencies and late-night events such as evening activities. You will also act as the lead in interactions with the young residents; providing them with support and assistance as well as ensuring their safety within the building at night.
To succeed you will have the ability to learn how, to work with vulnerable young people or young adults at-risk. You will also have experience of working in a team delivering a quality customer focused service.The ability to manage the sometimes complex/challenging behaviours of clients and adapt your approach according to their varying needs is also required. As is sound I.T skills and a flexible, resilient and thoughtful approach to your work.

We are recruiting to our Night Support Team to work within our supported housing in Brighton & Hove, Worthing, and Adur.
You will work within our properties that provide accommodation and associated support services to those aged 16-35 years. An understanding of the support needs of the young people we work with is desirable.
In particular, you will help to keep our properties safe and secure throughout the night.
While there are systems in place to support you, we require someone who is able to deal with unacceptable behaviour appropriately.
This is challenging yet rewarding work that helps the young people we support to belong, contribute, and thrive.
The shifts are waking nights. You will provide mobile support to our dispersed and staffed properties as well as providing occasional static cover.
A full, valid driving licence is essential, but a vehicle will be provided where required.
