Background
The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement in Türkiye and the region. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and political engagement.
Through its Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), the European Union is funding an 18-month programme on supporting inclusive dialogue and peacebuilding in Türkiye.
Purpose & Objectives
DPI is recruiting a Communication Consultant to meet key KPIs for its newly secured EU project.
The Communications Consultant will design, implement, and manage all strategic communications for the project from launch through close-out, ensuring consistent messaging, strong public visibility, and documented impact.
The consultant will:
- In line with the approved project proposal and logframe, develop and operationalise a comprehensive communications strategy in close collaboration with the Programmes team.
- Lead external communication throughout project lifecycle.
- Provide continuous communications support and reporting on communications and donor visibility activities throughout the project implementation.
- Produce end-of-project visibility and impact documentation.
Key requirements
- At least 5+ years’ experience in a mid-level communications role for NGOs.
- Additional 2+ years’ experience working as an independent consultant.
- Strong knowledge of the EU communications guidelines and experience working on EU projects.
- Experience working in peace building, conflict resolution etc. desirable.
- Turkish language a plus.
UK-based remote role. Should be flexible to come to London office if required. (TBC with Head of Programmes)

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to design, set up, and operationalise a functional M&E framework that will enable systematic data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning throughout the project lifecycle.
DPI is looking for an experienced M&E consultant to conduct baseline and final evaluations of the project, as well as design all the monitoring and evaluation tools to meet our KPIs for the EU project.
The consultant will:
· Conduct baseline and endline evaluations of the project..
· Establish monitoring and evaluation tools, and reporting systems.
· Ensure alignment with donor requirements and international M&E standards.
Key requirements
- Degree (or qualification) in M&E, Statistics, Development Studies, or comparable professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience designing M&E systems for NGO projects.
- Additional 2+ years’ experience working as an independent consultant.
- Knowledge and experience of M&E for EU projects.
- Strong experience with logframes, results-based management, and donor compliance.
- Proven skills in data collection tools and analysis software.

Our partner is seeking an experienced fund accounting consultant to deliver a short, fixed-scope diagnostic review following a recent finance system migration. The focus of this contract is to identify and triage discrepancies in fund balances ahead of an upcoming statutory audit.
This is a standalone Phase 1 engagement, with a clear written diagnostic as the primary output. Any follow-on support would be subject to findings and separately agreed.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a focused diagnostic review of fund balances following a finance system migration.
- Analyse discrepancies between legacy system balances, current system balances, and supporting fund schedules.
- Review available historical fund documentation and reporting to assess consistency and data integrity.
- Assess the treatment of opening balances and brought-forward positions at fund level.
- Identify whether issues are primarily data-driven, configuration-related, or reporting logic-related.
- Evaluate audit and governance risks and the proportionality of potential remediation options.
- Recommend a defensible historical cut-off for fund balances.
- Produce a concise written diagnostic note outlining findings, risks, assumptions, and recommended next steps.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong experience in charity or NGO fund accounting, including restricted and designated funds.
- Practical experience of finance system migrations and post-migration troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite, particularly fund or donor dimensions and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with complex or imperfect data.
- Clear written communicator, able to summarise complex issues succinctly.
- Comfortable working independently on a short, fixed-scope contract
Working Arrangements
- Short-term contract of approximately 5 days.
- Expected start January 2026.
- Fully remote, UK-based.
- Fixed scope Phase 1 engagement with a defined written deliverable.
- Right to work in the UK required.
