About us
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.
All roles at the DEC are based in our London office. We operate a hybrid working model, with some non-negotiable office attendance. Please note, during the two-week appeal launch period, staff are required to work extremely long hours, in a faced-paced busy environment, with mandatory office attendance.

Job Purpose

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Brand and Content team as our Video Content Creator. This is a permanent, hybrid, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, based between home and our office either in Kings Cross, London or Selly Oak, Birmingham.
The Brand and Content Team nurture and develop the Sense brand, putting it at the heart of everything we do and ensuring it is consistently represented throughout every touchpoint. We are also responsible for creating engaging and stand out content for departments across the organisation, whilst also creating content to meet our own strategic goals.
The successful candidate will join our fast-paced and motivated team to deliver highly engaging short form video content for social media, digital adverts, website and events. Your content will build and push the Sense brand, increase understanding of the challenges faced by disabled people with complex needs, help those affected to live full and meaningful lives, inspire people to fundraise and take action, and communicate the impact of Sense’s work through engaging and compelling storytelling. In this hands-on role you will be responsible for all aspects of video production, including creative development, logistics and planning, directing, filming, conducting interviews and all elements of post-production, requiring strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
You’ll spend a lot of time out on location capturing authentic moments and voices, translating them into compelling and engaging video content. One day you might be at our services meeting the people we support, and another you might be at a fundraising or campaigning event.

Sex Education Forum was founded in 1987 and became an independent charity in 2021. We convene over 70 Partner organisations, working together to make sure that the relationships and sex education (RSE) young people get is right for them. We influence national policy, are a respected voice in the media and contribute to ground-breaking research on RSE. By working in partnership with young people and training educators who work with some of the most marginalized young people, we know what changes are needed to make RSE the best it can be. Background (Summary)
Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision.
Lloyds Bank Foundation, Rank Foundation, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Foundation and the Woodsmith Foundation have provided three years of funding and commissioned MVDA to develop and deliver a VCSE infrastructure service (Enhance) in Redcar and Cleveland.
Enhance will provide practical support to VCSE organisations based in the Redcar and Cleveland area who deliver services to local people and communities.
The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:
Improvement – Providing practical support through an information and advice service. This will include for example advice on governance, funding, policy and practice
Growth - The development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for all VCSEs in Redcar and Cleveland
Influence - Work to support the building and development of relationships; collaborative work across the VCSE sector and cross-sector partnerships
The service will be based in Redcar and Cleveland and will provide an outreach service in the more rural areas of the borough to ensure the services are accessible to all local VCSEs.

We are looking for a permanent and full-time member of staff to help develop and manage RSTMH’s profile within tropical medicine and global health. We need a passionate and creative communicator who can play a key role in meeting our communications objectives. This role is office-based in central London, with the option to work from home on Mondays.
RSTMH is a membership society formed in 1907, with around 1,800 members and Fellows in over 100 countries. We work to improve tropical medicine and global health by enabling and promoting research, sharing knowledge and convening networks through our members and Fellows and beyond. The Communications Manager will have the opportunity to develop and enhance RSTMH’s reputation as a credible and trusted voice in tropical medicine and global health.
This is a wide-ranging and exciting role. You will lead on implementing the organisation’s communications strategy, working with the leadership team to ensure it meets the aims of the wider RSTMH strategy. You’ll maintain and further develop the website and social media platforms, build links with media contacts, and source, commission and develop content. You’ll manage relationships with key suppliers, including website developers, strategic partners, digital media and creative agencies. You’ll also be responsible for delivering RSTMH’s newsletters to our members and Fellows, and global network of supporters.

The Role
- Implement RSTMH’s communications strategy, in line with the wider organisational goals
- Full ownership of the website, including content updating and monitoring for consistency and currency, managing any development work and integration with other systems
- Manage social media channels for RSTMH, and develop strategies to engage wider networks
- Accountable for our joint venture website, grow: including developing a strategy for updating and maintaining the listings and income generation through advertising and/or sponsored posts
- Commission, source, write, edit and proofread engaging and relevant content for the website and social media channels, providing editorial support as required and building a network of expert contributors

Essential experience
- 5 years’ experience within a digital communication role
- 3 years’ experience developing and maintaining websites and social media for a campaign, cause or organisation
- Proven experience working in an editorial capacity, developing compelling copy for online audiences, with a varied portfolio of written work
- Experience of digital content creation, commissioning and management
- Proficiency in HTML newsletter creation, working to tight deadlines, collaborating with other departments, and using mail clients
- Experience of managing suppliers, partners and contributors
- Familiarity with design software for creating digital assets, such as Canva
- Knowledge of CRM databases

To support the Head of Fundraising and Communications in the delivery of the communications and fundraising strategy at ReMind UK through planning, production and delivery of on and offline marketing communications. ReMind UK overview
ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Our contracted NHS Memory Clinic service, private memory assessments and allied activities also provide support to people affected. We are currently in an ambitious phase of development looking to Increase our clinical and academic research programme. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research Institutions, both nationally and internationally and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
The role
As Marketing Officer, you will play an important role in helping ReMind UK to realise its vision by overseeing marketing for ReMind UK. You will line manage a Content Executive and together you will design, produce and disseminate materials and communications to raise the profile of the organisation and its work, and in turn raise funding to enable ReMind UK to continue its vital research and support for people affected by dementia.
You will plan and deliver an annual calendar of social posts and adverts, emails, marketing and PR activities including digital and print through organic and paid for media, and working with local organisations and groups. Working closely with ReMind UK's Content Officer you will coordinate website updates and content additions.
Key responsibilities
· Line management of ReMind UK's Content Executive to create an annual plan for coordinated marketing campaigns across channels.
· Responsibility for day-to-day management of the charity’s social media channels including Facebook, BlueSky and LinkedIn, delivering consistent promotion of the organisation, ensuring content remains fresh and engaging and moderating accounts to ensure positive PR for the organisation.
