We’re looking for a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to lead and shape how Blood Cancer UK is seen and understood by audiences across the UK, on a maternity cover basis.
You’ll lead the strategy and delivery of brand marketing and major brand campaigns, working across teams and with agency partners to ensure our communications are clear, consistent and audience-led. With a strong focus on insight and performance, you’ll champion an audience-first approach, embedding segmentation and learning into decision-making across the organisation.
This is a highly collaborative role for a strategic brand marketer who combines big-picture thinking with practical delivery. The role is based in London with hybrid working, and you’ll be expected to attend the office 1–2 days per week on average, with some additional travel as required. ABOUT SAFETY4SISTERS
Safety4Sisters (S4S) is a specialist Black and minoritised by and for women’s organisation based in Manchester. Our aim is to promote the human rights of migrant women experiencing a spectrum of gendered violence by providing a trauma informed, specialist, holistic and integrative programme of support to Black and minoritised survivors with NRPF. Support is underpinned by the following strands of services and activities; culturally competent advocacy, welfare and destitution support, a specialist refuge dedicated to migrant women with NRPF, therapeutic activities, groups and training, social activities, a helpline for both professionals and women, grassroots campaigning, and strategic advocacy.
JOB PURPOSE
To support the development and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work to advance the rights, safety, and wellbeing of Black, minoritised and migrant women and children experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
The post holder will contribute to influencing local, regional, and national policy and decision-making on VAWG, honour-based abuse, harmful practices, immigration and asylum policy, and no recourse to public funds (NRPF). This work will be rooted in survivor voice, frontline practice, and Safety4Sisters’ feminist and anti-racist values.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To contribute to the planning and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work in line with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
2.To undertake policy research and analysis on issues affecting Black, minoritised and migrant women experiencing VAWG, including immigration, asylum, and NRPF.
3.To draft policy briefings, consultation responses, reports, statements, and other written submissions to influence decision-makers and statutory bodies.
4.To work closely with frontline staff, partners, and where appropriate victim-survivors, to ensure that policy and campaigning work is informed by lived experience and practice-based evidence.
5.To support parliamentary, local authority, and regional influencing activity, including engagement with MPs, councillors, civil servants, and statutory agencies.
6.To assist in organising and delivering policy events, roundtables, seminars, conferences, and briefings for external stakeholders.
7.To represent Safety4Sisters at external meetings, networks, events, and forums as required, promoting the organisation’s policy positions and values.
8.To contribute to raising public and professional awareness of VAWG, honour-based abuse, and the specific barriers faced by migrant women, including institutional racism and hostile immigration policies.
9.To manage Safety4Sisters’ social media platforms, ensuring content supports the organisation’s policy, campaigning and advocacy work and reflects S4S values and safeguarding principles.
10. To support Safety4Sisters’ partners and stakeholders to engage with policy advocacy, communications, and campaigning activity, including providing guidance and resources where appropriate.
11. To contribute to training, learning, and community engagement activities delivered by Safety4Sisters, including sessions for professionals and community organisations.
12. To maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policy developments, research, and sector best practice.
13. To contribute to monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning activities, ensuring accurate records and data collection for policy and campaigning work.
14. To assist in developing strong links with key partners and networks at local, regional, and national levels to strengthen Safety4Sisters’ influencing work.
15. To undertake campaigning and influencing activity arising from frontline services and policy priorities, which may include occasional evening or weekend work.
16. To undertake any additional duties that contribute to the effective delivery of Safety4Sisters’ services, projects and campaigns.

The Policy and Practice Officer will help drive Carers Trust’s priority to improve support for young carers and young adult carers. Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster.
We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways.
This role sits within Race Against Dementia’s small, dynamic Operations team, who oversee the charity’s research programmes and internal processes. The team is responsible for managing Race Against Dementia’s research portfolio – from coordinating funding calls and supporting the selection of the projects we fund, to delivering the training and development programme for our researchers.
Purpose of the role
The Research Officer plays a central role in delivering Race Against Dementia’s research activity, helping to strengthen our research programmes and support the researchers we fund. The role combines strong organisational skills with clear science communication: coordinating processes, systems and partnerships to ensure smooth delivery, while translating research progress into accessible updates for internal and external audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Research administration:
- Manage the administration of all grant calls and related processes.
- Coordinate all incoming communications regarding research matters, ensuring timely, professional responses.
- Maintain team calendars and shared resources to support smooth team operations.
- Set up review sessions with Race Against Dementia Fellows to monitor progress.
- Support preparation of updates and progress reports for charity Trustees, funders and supporters.
- Work with the Research Manager to coordinate training activities for Race Against Dementia researchers.
- Support the planning and delivery of the annual in-person training event for Race Against Dementia researchers.
- Work closely with Race Against Dementia’s research partners and training partners to coordinate joint activities, communication, and ensure smooth delivery of collaborative projects and training activities.
- Undertake research to identify new organisations aligned with our mission.
Science communications
- Track key developments in dementia research and emerging trends in the field.
- Support the creation of research related social media content for the charity’s social media channels.
- Support the development of press materials to announce research updates and milestones.
- Contribute to copywriting and content development for the Race Against Dementia’s website.
- Work with the Research Manager to ensure the wider team is kept up to date with research developments across our network and the wider field.
- Help build and maintain a network of key dementia research stakeholders across academia and charities.
Other duties
Carry out any other duties as required by the Research Manager, CEO and Board of Trustees including:
- To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national meetings/events.
- To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia.
- To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
- To attend relevant CPD training events as required.
- To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Health and Safety work related matters.
- To work within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia’s policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include helping to develop earned media strategies for core campaigns, preparing and delivering high-quality earned media content, and maintaining relationships with key journalists and outlets across various platforms. As part of the agile press office, you’ll be deployed flexibly to multiple campaigns and rapid response opportunities, as well as acting as a key liaison point internally and as an external spokesperson.
Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. You'll have
- Significant media relations experience within a campaigning, NGO or media organisation in the UK, including securing high-quality earned coverage.
- Demonstrable understanding of how to work with and diversify earned media channels.
- Deep understanding of the UK media landscape, with experience of developing strong journalist relationships, plus excellent contacts in relevant sectors.
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice on media tactics and to deliver high-quality content for various earned media platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including face to face.
- Ability to set up effective administrative systems and databases, and to organise a high-pressure workload across multiple projects.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Digital Engagement Officer to join a UK charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by brain tumours. This 12 month placement is ideal for someone early in their career or under employed and looking to build experience in the charity sector.

About the Role
This role has been specifically designed as a development opportunity for someone who may be, returning to work, changing career, or looking to move into the charity sector for the first time.
You do not need previous charity sector experience to apply.
The post is a hybrid communications and support role, focused on increasing digital reach and engagement over a 12 month period. You will work on a defined project with clear outcomes, while receiving mentoring, training and hands on experience.
Working closely with communications and support colleagues, you will help ensure that accurate, accessible information reaches people where they are already searching online. The charity provide critical emotional and practical support to around 4,500 brain tumour patients each year, a relatively small proportion of the 80,000 people living with a brain tumour. Furthermore 12,775 more people are diagnosed annually. Their ambition is to double the number of people they are helping with coaching, events and information in the next 5 years.

As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will help ensure London Youth is a credible, influential voice on issues affecting young people and the organisations that support them. Sitting within the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, you will work closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and youth participation, communciations, fundraising and delivery colleagues to deliver demonstrable external influence and impact.

What you will be doing
You will lead the development and delivery of London Youth's policy and public affairs work, building a clear and consistent understanding of the London and national context for young people and youth organisations. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, including communications, fundraising, delivery, and MEL, you will help develop a clear and compelling case for support and influence.
You will work in close partnership with the CEO and CEO's office, acting as a trusted policy adviser, supporting the CEO's external policy engagements, positioning, and relationships with senior policymakers and influencers.
You will monitor emerging political and policy developments and relevant funding announcements, providing insight and analysis to identify opportunities for engagement. You will draft swift organisational responses to key policy announcements, in collaboration with the CEO and communications team, and ensure relevant intelligence and opportunties inform the work of the fundraising team.
