Variety is looking for a PR and Communications Manager to join our successful fundraising and communications team for FTC maternity cover. This role includes management of internal and external communication channels at Variety including the website, supporter newsletters, social media and PR.  Leading on brand and design, you will oversee freelance support during busy periods including photographers and filmmakers. This role leads and manages brand design on Canva, short film editing and works with the Director of Communications on PR. 

The PR and Communications Manager is key to achieving Variety’s mission to fund life-changing practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. You will be joining the charity at an exciting time as Variety is launching a new three-year strategy and you will play a key role in our collaborative and high-performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Lead the planning, creation and delivery of engaging content across Variety's communications channels.

● Manage the website content, ensuring information remains accurate, accessible and on brand.

● Work with the website developers to deliver improvements and SEO optimisation.

● Manage Variety’s social media content and calendar to ensure children’s voices are at the heart of our storytelling.

● Manage email marketing, including the supporter newsletter on Dot Digital working with the team to grow our mailing list.

● Gather case studies that demonstrate Variety’s impact, working closely with the programmes delivery team and the families we support.

● Oversee Variety’s brand ensuring communications are accessible and consistent with style and tone of voice.

● Work with the Director of Fundraising and Communications to develop and deliver integrated marketing and brand awareness campaigns.

● Review and proof communications produced across the organisation.

● Manager external freelance staff as needed, writing briefs and overseeing work including photographers, filmmakers, PR professionals and designers.

● Write and oversee press releases, responding to media enquiries.

● Monitor, analyse and report on digital communications performance using insights to improve email open rates, content and audience engagement.

● Manage the Senior Social Media Officer overseeing objectives, holding 1-1s and annual appraisals.

● Produce creative assets on Canva to support fundraising and campaigns.

● Attend Variety events, partner schools and community groups to capture engaging content, maximising engagement and representing the charity.

● Store and manage digital assets and the photo library, keeping records and consent up-to-date on the CRM (Salesforce), and manage the communications inbox.

● Participate in staff meetings, fundraising and programmes meetings and contribute to the success of Variety’s strategy.

MAIN BENEFITS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

25 days holiday (we also normally give between Christmas and New Year off, but this is not contractual). As the Community and Events Fundraising Officer, you will play a key part in ending youth homelessness in Scotland by inspiring people to support Rock Trust.

You will deliver exceptional supporter care and create meaningful experiences for everyone fundraising for us. Responsibilities

• Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with RCS England key messages and priorities.
• Participate in an out-of-hours rota for media enquiries. Time off in lieu is offered for significant out-of-office hours worked.

About the role

This is a senior role working across the whole Charity, tasked with growing public awareness and support for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Leading on marketing, PR, brand and design, this role will manage relations with media, stakeholders, supporters and the wider public, creating and delivering engaging campaigns, generating support for the Charity, demonstrating impact and increasing income generation.

UWC International is the operational arm of UWC, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity at the heart of the global UWC movement. Based in London and Berlin, our team works closely with stakeholders across the UWC network and supports a global alumni community of over 85,000 changemakers.

SMK is at an exciting moment in its history with a newly launched strategy Change is Possible 2026 -2028, a recently appointed permanent Chief Executive this year and a new Chair. Digital engagement is evolving, and fast, so that is why we’re looking for a creative, experienced, strategic and data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to lead, develop and grow our digital presence across multiple channels. Marketing

• Social media management including the creation of a data led strategy and implementation plan for SMK’s channels.
• Manage the planning, creation, and scheduling of multiple marketing projects, ensuring the ‘SMK voice’ through tone and brand is implemented across digital channels.
• Create the vision for the annual SMK National Campaigner Awards social media approach and manage the roll out.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, agile and structured Senior Programmes Manager to lead the operational planning, project management and execution of our flagship educational programmes. In this role, you will be the operational engine behind multiple cross-departmental projects, with a focus on meeting the needs of our global teachers and students, as well as funders.

In this fixed-term role you will work closely with our educational content leads, designers and external stakeholders to ensure our high-impact classroom resources and live events are delivered seamlessly, on time and to the highest standard. Rather than drafting the pedagogy yourself, you will manage the project lifecycles, coordinate workflow across internal and external teams and optimise the systems that allow our world-class educational programmes to reach over 1 million young people globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project and operational management

• Manage the Topical Talk Leadership for Change Prize, Live Lessons, curriculum modules and student workshops end-to-end: from roadmaps and capacity mapping through to impact and evaluation
• Project manage the filming required for our content delivery, including the booking and management of experts, production teams and Economist colleagues
• Track and coordinate progress across content creators, graphic designers, proofreaders and editors to ensure all deliverables meet tight production deadlines
• Balance team workloads across concurrent educational projects and plan capacity for incoming projects
• Continuously refine workflow processes to streamline resource creation and evaluation

Programme governance and evaluation

• Partner with the Director of Programmes to track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate audience reach and maintain rigorous data collection for monitoring and evaluating our programmes
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, content risks or scheduling delays, implementing swift mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track

Live Lesson and workshop operations

• Manage the end-to-end operational execution of student workshops and our Live Lessons – handling scheduling, platform setups and logistics
• Coordinate school visits for content testing and observation, ensuring all safeguarding and operational requirements are fully met

Stakeholder and relationship coordination

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for external topic experts, guest contributors, and editorial contributors from The Economist Group
• Maintain clear lines of communication between the programmes team, marketing, operations and external partners to ensure projects are aligned with strategic aims
• Manage external freelance contractors and vendors, with support from the administrative officer

From supporting our members and maintaining our CRM to producing communications, updating website content and assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping, you'll play an important role in helping ADCH deliver an efficient and professional service.

As part of a small team, you'll need to be adaptable, self-motivated and happy to take ownership of your work while supporting colleagues across a wide range of activities. You'll be equally comfortable working independently from home and collaborating with the team, with travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays required.

WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. We are looking for a full-time, social media officer to join our team in Chippenham, Wiltshire.  Reporting to the head of comms, you will help to develop WDC’s busy social media activity, advising fundraising, campaigns and policy colleagues on the best ways to grow the number of people who support our work. 

We are looking for someone with proven track record of developing and delivering digital communications plans, experience in the use of social media to support communications, marketing and/or fundraising functions, and a good understanding of digital platforms and social media (especially Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
