Home-Start London is an independent charity that connects and strengthens the 16 local Home-Starts in the capital so that together we can reach more families. Collectively, our network supported over 6,500 families including 9,500 children last year.
About the role
Working closely with the Director and Home-Start staff, volunteers and partners across the capital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our joint projects and activities from our peer learning groups and network events to our growing portfolio of funded partnerships.
What you'll be working on:
- You’ll take the lead on coordinating our peer learning groups, joint research and volunteer recruitment campaigns
- You’ll support the Director to secure and manage funding partnerships, including monitoring plans and budgets
- You’ll oversee development and monitoring of Home-Start London’s annual operational plan
- You’ll regularly engage with local Home-Starts and partners, ensuring they are shaping our work
- You’ll oversee logistics for network events
- You’ll provide administrative support, from raising invoices to organising/chairing network meetings
- You’ll create content for our website and social media to help promote our work
- You’ll manage office volunteers, ensuring they are happy, effective and well supported

JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising and Development department is responsible for ensuring Magic Breakfast’s on-going sustainability through the generation of income and other critical non-financial support. The Department Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other members of the Fundraising Leadership to facilitate closer alignment across the department, help unlock and enable income growth, whilst also providing administrative and coordination support to the team more broadly. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in developing and delivering the department-wide calendar of stewardship events, working with colleagues from across the major gifts team to identify opportunities to connect our supporters even further with the impact of our work
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support with the coordination, diary management and planning for any department away days, planning or reflection sessions

Identify opportunities to add value, enhance efficiencies and reduce siloed working across the department, for example through collaboration and resource/ knowledge sharing

Support the Fundraising Officer where necessary to act as the key welcome point to people reaching out to support Magic Breakfast, responding to enquiries received on the phone, escalating and triaging queries where necessary.

Assist the Gifts Officer with gift processing when required, including the processing of cheques, sending acknowledgements, and adding gifts to our CRM, Salesforce

The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.
Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.

As the Head of Strategic Communications at GLAN, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that amplifies GLAN's mission and impact on a global scale.

The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. ROLE SUMMARY
This role will report to the Senior Delivery Project Manager responsible for the ongoing development of the Alumni programme. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to guide our Alumni programme development. You will be responsible for organising events and opportunities for Alumni, such as our annual Professional Development Courses, in addition to communicating with both the Alumni group and the wider team about the programme and opportunities within it. You will also support tracking and reporting the impact of our work with Alumni to different stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to participate in the fast-paced and rewarding Future Charities Leaders Programme (FCLP) where no two days are the same, where you can focus on your professional development through the FCLP rotations (20% of your time), designed to build your charity management skills.
GRADUATE SCHEME SUMMARY
Being an Alumni Coordinator is the first step on upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). The FCLP provides you with a unique opportunity to:

Work directly with our Alumni building their careers and exploring opportunities across different sectors, as well as our partner organisations who support them (4 days per week), while also;

Gain exposure to various aspects of charity management through 6-month rotations (1 day per week).

Receive training in Leadership throughout, and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management after 18 months on the programme (in place of rotations).
The FCLP is designed either for graduates from any university, academic subject and background - or for those with experience in the corporate world who are looking for a career change and experience in the charity sector.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will contribute to upReach's mission, by leading upReach’s Alumni Programme, including events and communications, supporting young professionals from lower socio-economic backgrounds to continue to develop the key skills necessary for progression in the workplace.
You will report directly to the Senior Delivery Project Manager, who will be on hand to provide guidance and support throughout, and who you will have regular check-ins with on a weekly basis.

Key responsibilities include:
1) ENGAGING ALUMNI
Once a student has graduated from university, and subsequently upReach’s core programmes, you will encourage them to engage with a range of activities. You will be responsible for:

Developing content for our Alumni Platform and drive the use of the platform amongst the Alumni group, maximising the number that update their details, sign up for events and support upReach in a variety of ways.

Lead on communication about the programme, both with the Alumni group and with the team and other stakeholders. This includes a monthly Alumni newsletter, whatsapp and social media posts.

Lead on the organisation and further development of the Alumni Ambassador Board, including working alongside the Senior Delivery Project Manager to coordinate the logistics of the group, from sending invitations and reminders, as well as organising content.
2) PARTNERSHIPS & EVENTS Our partners make our support possible, and you will gain hands-on experience developing strong relationships with employer partners. The size and complexity of each varies, but you may typically oversee 1-2 large partnerships or 3-4 smaller ones. This includes:

Being a partner’s first point of contact, and participating in update meetings - for example, updating a funder on Alumni engagement at an event.

Organising Alumni events (virtual and/or in person): This includes promoting them to Alumni, overseeing logistics, and gathering feedback.

Organising Alumni Professional Development Courses (virtual and/or in person). The Professional Development Courses typically involves 5 events focussed on skills necessary to ‘get on, after getting in’. You will be responsible for promoting them to Alumni, overseeing logistics, and gathering feedback.

Support the delivery of additional events where Alumni are included, including funding or external engagement events

Support End of Year Reviews with partners, including data analysis on Alumni engagement and successes - with the aim of ensuring partners renew their agreements.
3) DEVELOP OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALUMNI TO GIVE BACK upReach Alumni are often interested in giving back to upReach after graduation. You will be responsible for:

Coordinating Alumni volunteering opportunities, including keeping an up to date register of Alumni volunteers and opportunities for them to engage in.

Collaborating with different teams across upReach, including:

External events: coordinating Alumni speakers and volunteers

4) ROTATIONS IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF CHARITY MANAGEMENT As part of the FCLP programme, you will work on rotational projects designed to give you a greater exposure and understanding of the different areas of charity management.
You will have a six month rotation in each of the following areas during your first 18 months on the programme: (1) Fundraising, Partnerships and Comms, (2) Operations and Strategy (3) Project and Product Management.

Each week you will work on projects related to your current rotation (7.5 hours per week). These projects will be agreed with your Rotation Manager, in line with the learning objectives for each rotation.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity supporting young unaccompanied refugees in England who are looking for an Interim Head of Fundraising & Communications to join their team for an initial 6 months period.
The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.
Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.
There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. We provide a national Advocacy and Counselling service and support for deaf victims of domestic abuse.
This role will be responsible for the collection of service contract debtors, as well as care fees from self-funding and local government authority residents. The role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders and will deliver excellent customer service – working proactively to reduce any barriers to debt collection and to improving SignHealth’s debt collection processes at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.
The key responsibilities of this Credit Controller role include:
- Raise all sales invoices (recurring and ad hoc), for SignHealth in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with the Accountant and Head of Finance to develop and maintain accurate invoicing schedules.
- Work with colleagues across SignHealth to ensure that accurate invoices are raised – e.g. to account for changes in service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure prompt payment and resolution of billing disputes
