We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.
The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.
We want someone who can learn and grow in this role so if you don’t have every skill listed but are organised, motivated, and interested in our work then we want to hear from you.
The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. Our staff enjoy flexible working conditions, 27 days annual leave, plus the week between Christmas and the New Year, 8% employer pension contribution and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

About the role
This new role within the newly formed Brand and Marketing Communications team will play a key role in our in-house creative studio, creating engaging and inspiring content. The successful candidate will develop creative concepts and bring them to life through innovative and inclusive design across multiple channels.
You will join our growing Brand and Marketing Communications team and work collaboratively with our in-house brand and digital teams as well as the wider organisation.
Most importantly you’ll champion our work and raise the voices of children, young people and their families living with cancer to ensure they get the support they need.

• You have significant relevant experience of designing content for different platforms and channels.
• You understand the importance of developing and adapting designs to meet different audience needs.
• You love to champion creative storytelling that helps grow recognition of a brand.
• You have extensive experience of graphic design, motion design and art working in a studio or an in-house creative team.

About the role
You’ll be a key member of the Education team, enabling us to equip health and care professionals across the UK with the knowledge they need to provide excellent care for people with Parkinson’s.
In developing and maintaining engaging, innovative online courses and resources, you’ll work closely with colleagues in the Education team and subject matter experts. You’ll use your specialist learning or instructional design experience to ensure our online education offer is based on sound pedagogical practice and focuses directly on meeting learner need.
What you’ll do
- Apply the tools, principles and practice of learning design to plan, develop and maintain engaging online courses and resources about Parkinson’s and Parkinsonism for professional audiences
- Work closely with the Education Lead to ensure our education offer is sector-leading, sustainable and aligned to the Charity’s strategic priorities
- Plan, manage and deliver to schedule high-quality online courses and resources, from agreeing learning outcomes to go-live
- In production and maintenance work, collaborate with colleagues including subject matter experts (such as clinicians in the Parkinson’s Excellence Network), technical specialists and other internal colleagues
- Support the development of an effective marketing strategy for the Learning Hub, working closely with Professional Engagement, Marketing and Media team colleagues
What you’ll bring
- Experience of providing pedagogic expertise to support the development and maintenance of online learning content
- Experience of the hands-on design, testing and evaluation of online learning for professional audiences
- Up-to-date perspectives on learning design practice and how it can be applied to professional education in the Charity sector
- Experience of project management in the context of online course development

About the role

The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in helping the marketing team with the production of marketing and communication materials and the implementation of the rebrand of Young Enterprise.

Special Events Officer
Temporary - 2 months +
Pay: £16.48 plus £1.99 holiday pay per hour
Location: London - 2 days in the office, the rest remote
Charity People are seeking a Special Events Officer to join a humanitarian charity to help assist with some upcoming events, as well as other general event administration. The role will start as soon as possible and require two days per week in their London office, whilst you can work the rest remotely if preferred. This is a 35-hour week role, which can be worked flexibly if required. There is a chance this role could become permanent for the successful temporary post holder. At this time, they really require someone with charity events experience to come in and keep things ticking over nicely. Working in a small Special Events Team of three people, including the successful postholder, you will be assisting with various tasks to ensure the upcoming events are well planned for, and executed.
The temporary role is paying £16.48 plus £1.99 holiday pay.
The key tasks the role will include:
* Gift In Kind requests & management of suppliers
* Sponsorship requests & management of companies
* Prize asks & administration connected to the requests
* Design of Event Programme - collation of content and working with their Designer
* Writing volunteer briefings
