What will you be doing?
Join us as a Volunteer Content Editor & Community Storyteller at Long Covid Support. You’ll shape clear, compassionate messages that empower thousands of people living with Long Covid-right from your home. With your strong editing and writing skills, you’ll make a direct contribution to our cause by refining how we inform, support, and inspire both our community and the wider public. You’ll edit, proofread, and occasionally draft a variety of content, including website pages, blogs, newsletters, reports, policy briefings, and campaign materials.
What are we looking for?
You’re a confident writer and editor with a keen eye for detail, able to adapt tone and style to suit diverse audiences. You thrive on meeting deadlines and managing your own time remotely, and you’re passionate about using clear, inclusive language to support our community. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from health related charities or a lived-experience led setting, though this is desirable rather than essential.

By volunteering with Long Covid Support, you will directly influence public understanding of Long Covid. Your work will help thousands find reliable information, connect with peers, and ensure their voices shape research and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Edit and refine newsletters, website copy, reports, policy briefings, and campaign materials so they’re accurate, engaging and accessible
* Write short blogs, community updates, and summaries that bring our stories to life
* Maintain and share editorial guidelines to keep our tone consistent and inclusive
* Collaborate with our teams to ensure every message supports our mission and values

Role Summary.
We are looking for creative and enthusiastic Content Writers to join our newly forming content team. You will help produce inspiring, well-researched blog articles, website content, and resources that connect with our audience and communicate the values and mission of Roots Academy. You’ll also learn valuable SEO writing techniques to ensure your content is discoverable and impactful.
Key tasks

Research and write clear, engaging, and original content for our website, newsletter, and blog.

Incorporate keywords and SEO recommendations provided by the SEO Specialist.

Ensure content aligns with Roots Academy’s brand voice and tone.

Collaborate with the SEO Specialist and wider team to review and refine drafts.

Suggest new content topics based on research, trends, and audience needs.

Description
You should be an experienced and talented video editor/content creator.
This is an opportunity to boost your portfolio and build a very high profile network for furthering your career, gain visibility and also be associated with the world' biggest UN Global Goals initiative of its kind.
The editor will
- Create short intro and ending animations/transitions for the festival's SM and screenings
- Edit the interviews (Zoom/Teams) and additional footage/still to create social media ready files for YT, LI, FB, TW and IG
- Add subtitles and captions as needed for the videos
- You would need to have your own professional equipment and software and a camera and lights (if you are also a videographer - preferred, not mandatory)

Job Summary
The WordPress Website Developer Volunteer will be responsible for managing and enhancing our website’s functionality, performance, and user experience. This role includes tasks such as page creation, plugin and theme management, updates, bug fixes, and content integration, ensuring the website is accessible, secure, and reflective of Trans Celebration’s values and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the WordPress website, including themes, plugins, and content.
- Ensure website security, performance, and accessibility compliance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and apply necessary fixes or improvements.
- Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement new features or page layouts.
- Optimise site structure, responsiveness, and mobile compatibility.
- Assist with SEO enhancements and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Ensure consistent branding and user-friendly navigation throughout the site.
- Provide basic technical support or documentation for internal users or editors.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in WordPress (customisation, page builders, plugins, and themes).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic PHP.
