About the Role:
As the Foundation starts supporting its third cohort of Scholars, we need an organised, communications focused and proactive individual to grow our capacity in two significant areas of our work: our regular in-person events, and our recruitment and assessment process.
You will take the lead on, and quality assure, all Martingale events including our Welcome Dinner for new Scholars at the Royal Society, autumn assessment centres, regular training days for Masters and PhD students, our week-long summer residential retreats for Scholars, as well as events for current and potential funders and other stakeholders. You will also help secure high-profile speakers from relevant industries. While these events will be delivered in collaboration with other members of the team, you will bring your event management expertise to drive forward planning and delivery, and ensure these events are of the highest standards for Scholars and stakeholders.
You will also play a vital role in Martingale’s recruitment and admissions work. You will be line-managed by the Communications Manager and will support in the dissemination of Martingale recruitment materials to relevant universities, student societies, charities and learned societies, to ensure a high number of applications to the Martingale Scholarship programme. You will also work closely with the Programme Manager and Programme Officer to deliver well-run assessment centres and programme events across England and Scotland. You will also support the Communications Manager through producing high-quality content relating to Martingale events, to be distributed through our social media channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Event management
- Research and secure high-quality external venues for Martingale events, and work effectively with teams at those venues to ensure events are delivered within budget and to a high standard
- Liaise closely with colleagues on event purpose, scope, and intended outcomes, and plan effectively using Martingale’s CRM and other project management tools as necessary
- Be the key point of contact for all events, including briefing colleagues and externals to ensure roles and responsibilities are clear
- Where necessary, work with the Team Administrator to ensure travel and accommodation is booked for staff, Scholars, and stakeholders
- Research and recommend high-profile speakers for Martingale events, acting as key contact for all speakers and trainers for events
- Conduct evaluation including post event debriefs and appropriate communication materials
- Lead on event wrap-up and embed learnings into future event planning
Recruitment and assessment
- Grow partnerships with relevant contacts to support our recruitment, including researching and connecting with appropriate organisations who are mission aligned or may have suitable alumni for Martingale Scholarships
- Disseminate materials on Martingale’s Scholarships to appropriate external stakeholders
- Help manage enquiries sent through to our social media platforms
- Work closely with the Programmes Team to book venues for Assessment Centres, and support with all logistics including schedules for assessors and candidates, ensuring a positive first impression of the Foundation for potential future Scholars
Communications
- Deliver effective communication in line with organisational strategy
- Create high-quality content on Martingale events for dissemination through our social media channels, website and newsletter
- Manage Martingale’s collaboration with community engagement partners: Axiom Maths, In2Science, and The Brilliant Club
General

Overview of the role
As the Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a range of fundraising appeals and our individual and regular giving programmes. This position also provides plenty of variety and the opportunity to support and develop skills across several income streams. The Fundraising Officer will work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Communications teams and closely with the Senior Fundraising Managers.
What you will do as part of our team
Fundraising activities
Individual Giving
· Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships
· Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship
· Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at a lower to mid level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys
Fundraising Appeals
· Manage Glass Door’s direct marketing appeals including our flagship annual Christmas appeal – taking the lead on the direct mail and email campaign
· Lead on content development, and implementation of donor segmentation based on giving history, preferences, and engagement levels
· Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver a robust communication plan – actively taking part in the case studies, content creation and digital campaign plans (social media and website)
· Create and implement a follow-up communication plan to thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions
· Undertake evaluations of each appeal’s performance metrics and donor responses to refine future appeals
Fundraising support
· Monitor the Fundraising inbox and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries from individual donors or prospects
· Support the Senior Fundraising Managers with research into current and prospective donors, and compile information to support funding applications and reports
· Thank and steward in-memoriam gifts
· Support the wider team at events e.g. Sleep Out, Christmas Carols and other supporter events

The London Wetland Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join to the team. This role will help drive visitation to London Wetland Centre, raise brand awareness and increase engagement across social media platforms.

Role description
As our philanthropy coordinator, you will play a key role in building new partnerships with philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals, with an immediate focus on the UK, US, and Europe. Terms and remuneration

The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. Supporter Care
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

Additional Information

CAFOD’s mission in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and equip Catholics to actively engage in the Church’s efforts to overcome poverty and injustice. A brand new opportunity has arisen for an experienced recruitment marketer to join our head office People Services function. Working as part of the wider Talent Acquisition Team, you will be the recruitment marketing specialist supporting efforts in employer branding, job marketing and creating content to help attract and recruit the best talent for Harris Federation.

Main Areas of Responsibility
As the Recruitment Marketing Coordinator, you will play a key role in attracting top talent to one of the leading education trusts in the UK. Working within our friendly Talent Acquisition Team, you will manage our careers website, creative copy writing for our blog and recruitment marketing campaigns and curate engaging content that showcases our people and culture which helps showcase our employer value proposition across various digital channels. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the best possible employee and candidate experience which aligns to our values, polices and procedures and talent strategy.
- Write and curate engaging and informative content for the careers website (case studies, interviews and insights) to showcase our people, culture and employer value proposition.
- Use exceptional writing and storytelling skills to produce regular short and long form blog posts that reinforces employer messaging, brand voice, and tone
- Build strong and trusted relationships with leadership teams in academies to help develop and deploy more local recruitment marketing within the local community and networks.
- Ensure messaging, brand voice, and tone are maintained and consistent across all channels.
- Manage a cross-platform engagement plan that includes a high-quality content calendar.
- Own and advance internal employee advocacy initiatives and provide relevant posts for our advocates to promote.
- Support academies with social media content production and management to build their brand on LinkedIn.
- Build persuasive, evidence-based cases for marketing activity across new and existing channel.

Qualifications & Experience

- Have experience with organic and paid campaigns
- Are proficient in website/SEO tools such as Google Analytics
- Have previous experience using editing software such as, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and/or similar
- Are up to date with the latest trends and best practices in CRM, digital marketing across paid, earned and owned channels.
- Are a creative thinker with the capacity to create engaging campaigns

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will manage a high-performing team of four staff: Database & Donor Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager. Community & Events Officer and the International Development Manager. Your key priority is to raise the income required as per the agreed annual income budgets for the organisation, managing all relevant income streams that include Trusts & Foundations, Events & Community, Corporate, Statutory, International and Individual Giving. You do not need to demsontrate an expertise in all of these streams. You are also responsible for ensuring that all communications messaging is strengthening our brand and engaging our supporters.
Finally, you are an active member participating in the Senior Management Team contributing insights and strategies that align with the charity’s development goals. By engaging in this leadership role, the Head of Fundraising and Communications role will help to drive the charity's mission forward, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.
