The position:

The Humane League UK is seeking a creative, proactive, and strategically-minded individual with the drive to end the abuse of animals raised for food.

As Social Media Coordinator, you will live and breathe all things social media, understanding its potential contribution to achieving our mission.

You'll lead all activities across our Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as keeping an eye out for opportunities elsewhere on social media. With strong working knowledge across social channels, you’ll implement a digital strategy focused on reaching, engaging, and converting our audiences to take action for animals.

This role reports to the Digital Communications Manager.

Who you are:

You are passionate about The Humane League’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food. With an attention to detail and strong written and verbal communications skills in English, you’ll have a keen eye for persuasive and punchy copy and an ability to adapt your tone of voice.

You’ll be able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that you meet deadlines and communicate internally.

You’ll have experience of digging into the data, using analytics to assess results, gain learnings, and action those learnings to improve channel performance. You understand what audiences want to see from different channels, and how to get cut through and reach attention on each one.

You are a whizz with editing tools and can create compelling, dynamic video and static content that hooks people in and keeps them watching.

You’ll be comfortable reacting to opportunities nimbly and being proactive in looking for stories to tell about our work, seeing every interaction as an opportunity. 

You’ll be willing to be the face of the organisation on social media, ensuring that you have a good working knowledge of our issues and campaigns in order to motivate support for them.

You will have a supporter-centric approach to communications, responding to comments and messages from a place of care and empathy.

While working with autonomy is an important part of your role, strong collaboration and communication skills are paramount to your success.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ownership of our social media channels; regularly testing, creating, and posting content that is tailored to each platform, using each channel’s features to maximise impact towards our goals.

• Planning and building social media campaigns that strategically integrate goals and consider metrics.

• Updating the communications calendar.

• Create inspiring concepts and develop these into compelling, on-brand, platform-specific content using tools like Canva and Adobe Express.

• Social media community management including moderating and responding to comments and messages to ensure people feel valued, engaged, and we are building strong relationships with supporters and potential supporters.

• Regularly monitoring social trends to create topical content.

• Using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook insights, and Sprout Social to report on post and channel performance, monitoring and evaluating success against goals on a monthly basis.

• Contribute to or initiate the development and improvement of processes that improve delivery and collaboration.

• Keep up to date with new features and tech related to social media platforms, as well as other organisations’ activity, to ensure the most engaging and effective content.

• Encourage and assist staff members in producing social media content, supporting them with creative and technical guidance and giving feedback.

• Contribute to other communications activities such as website and PR content, as necessary.

• Attend events, protests and actions as necessary, developing on-the-ground content plans that effectively showcase our actions and further our goals.

• Update the wider team on social media progress and insights.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Digital Communications Manager or Head of Communications.

• Participate in team meetings including note-taking and facilitation.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong working knowledge across multiple key social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Facebook – this could be through professional experience or demonstrable extensive personal use.

• Experience in planning, creating, and scheduling social media content ahead of time, as well as reactive content.

• An understanding of how different audiences engage with content across various platforms, and what they want to see from each.

• Confident using the features and tools of each channel to optimise reach and engagement.

• Experience using data and analytics to assess social media performance, extract insights, and apply learnings to improve results.

• Proficiency with editing tools to create both video and static graphic content.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Proficient in tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Sprout Social (or similar).

• Experience in community management, including responding to comments and messages in a timely, appropriate, and engaging way.

• Knowledge of factory farming/farmed animal welfare issues

Hours:

As an organisation we work a four day work week. This is a full time position of 30 hours per week over Monday to Thursday.

- Supporting, advising and training the network of stewards, safety representatives and equality representatives in the South East Coastal region.

How are staff supported to work remotely?  

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

In collaboration with national stakeholders, you will play an active role in identifying and influencing developing policy across the UK, looking for opportunities to enhance service provision and improve patient outcomes and experience through better provision of physiotherapy.

The CSP has a network of regional teams across the UK to support our members wherever they live, work or study. So, alongside a national role, you will join a regional multi-disciplinary team with CSP colleagues from policy, communications and the trade union to develop robust networks and engage members. This role therefore requires excellent communication, influencing and networking skills to enable members to understand, evidence and articulate the value and impact of physiotherapy to influence local decision-making.

It doesn’t stop there. You will be part of a team of professional advisers who provide peer support and a professional advice service to CSP members. We’re looking for TWO motivated and detail-oriented Research Officers to support the Association’s research funding activities and award portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a bold and ambitious research strategy that puts stroke survivors at the centre.

Position: CE376 Research officer (two posts)

Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £34,400 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,275 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months

The Role

Working closely with a friendly and knowledgeable team, you’ll manage the logistics of research funding calls, support peer review and governance processes, and ensure accurate tracking of award progress and impact.

You’ll be the first point of contact for funded researchers and play a key role in making research accessible and visible to wider audiences.

The role includes opportunities to work with the Involvement Lead and Communications Lead, developing skills in research impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project management. You’ll also work closely with teams across the organisation to amplify the impact of stroke research in policy and practice.

About You

You will:

• Be educated to degree level in a science, health, social science or related discipline, or have equivalent research experience.
• Be confident handling research data, drafting accessible content, and working with a range of stakeholders including researchers, funders, and stroke survivors.

About the role:

This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.

As an External Trainer you will:

• Manage, coordinate and deliver professional, engaging and interactive training sessions to external clients using a range of facilitation methods, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed training objectives, materials and quality standards.
• Lead on the design and development of bespoke learning content to meet client needs and support strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining close relationships with external clients.
• Responsible for managing delegates, dealing with any issues that arise throughout the learning session. Ensure that all nationally directed learning is delivered in line with the approved materials and standards.
• Lead on the continuous improvement of training, using assessments and feedback to make recommendations for amendments. Review and update training content regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

You will need:

• Experience of delivering training programmes using a variety of different methods e.g. face to face, virtual and one to one, managing delegates and issues that may arise
• Experience of designing and delivering training for adult learners, ideally within a commercial or client-facing environment
• Experience of delivering soft skills training and experiential learning activities
• Ability to develop a range of learning and development solutions that meet client priorities
• Experience of planning courses and evaluating outcomes
• A driving licence as this role does require frequent travel across England and Wales

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
 

Job Purpose:

The Diversion Project Worker will engage with women referred through both formal and informal Liaison & Diversion (L&D) routes. Formal routes include police, courts, and other legal channels, while informal routes will focus on identifying women at greatest risk of offending. This role is designed to offer early intervention, providing structured, person-centred, and goal-focused support to provide 1:1 support, to help meet women’s immediate needs and to support them to prepare for a brighter future. From signposting and working in partnership with other grassroots organisations, to delivering group workshops and 1:1 support on topics such as mental health and wellbeing, domestic abuse, training and skills development, finance, debt and benefits.
 

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with, or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system.
2. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
3. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with police, courts, and community organisations to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support for women and to strengthen referral pathways.
4. Contribute to organisational development and personal growth through innovation, self-care, and professional learning.
