This HR Manager role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis. The salary band is £35,000-£45,000 and has flexible working arrangements, as a remote role with occasional travel.

Partnership and Strategy Manager - Western Forest

The Partnerships and Strategy Manager at Western Forest will be responsible for managing and nurturing partnership relations across the Western Forest area. This role ensures that all partners are supported and resourced to develop and deliver the collective vision of the forest, helping to achieve key targets. The Events Officer is a pivotal member of the Events HQ team, responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse portfolio of events as outlined in the Events HQ roadmap. This includes providing expert consultancy to the wider organisation, ensuring a unified and professional approach to all event activities.

Collaborating with specialists across the charity and the Brand and Marketing directorate, you will support the development and maintenance of logistical and administrative frameworks that enable successful event delivery. What's the role about?

Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will play a critical role in delivering audience-focused events that engage supporters, members, and stakeholders. The role demands significant expertise in event logistics, from initial planning and risk management to live event operations. You will be a strong project manager, adept at handling both proactive and reactive tasks with a solutions-focused approach. You'll be skilled in using databases and CRM systems to manage relationships, as well as tools for budget and supplier management, ensuring the efficient allocation and oversight of resources.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of supporting and leading on elements of events of varying sizes - including events for over 1,000 people, including high-value cultivation events, engagement events, and webinars.

• Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies

To support the range and depth of partnerships we have and the potential we see, we are looking for a Partnerships Manager to work primarily on building partnerships with Local Authorities and public sector organisations, charities and social enterprises, faith-based and inclusion-focused organisations and other groups who might help us strategically grow and resource the Warm Welcome network across the UK (NB Corporate Partnerships are managed by our newly appointed Fundraising Lead for Corporates). The Partnerships Manager will also help develop our support for Warm Welcome Spaces, including overseeing our Champions Programme which offers more intense support and a Community of Practice to a smaller cohort of local groups.

Responsibilities

Building Partnerships

● Developing our Partnership Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to help us grow the network and reach our ambition of 100% of the population living within a 30-minute walk of a registered Warm Welcome Space. This will involve identifying and engaging partners in geographical ‘cold spots’ for the network (utilising our mapping tool developed with UCL), as well as forming partnerships to unlock new or under-represented types of Warm Welcome Spaces (e.g. Housing Association Community Spaces, cinemas, community spaces created by new housing developments etc).

● Leading the development of our Local Co-ordinators Cluster which brings together Local Authorities and others who are leading place-based networks of community spaces.

● Overseeing and developing the Champions Programme, providing more intensive support and connections to a smaller cohort of Warm Welcome Spaces.

Engagement and Inclusion

● Developing our Inclusion Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to diversify our Coalition and support local Spaces to become more accessible and inclusive.

● Working with the team to develop regular engagement activities for Warm Welcome Partners.

● Producing compelling communications (written and verbal) to promote the work of the Warm Welcome Campaign and grow the depth and breadth of partnerships - to include but not limited to partnership proposals, pitches and reports.

Good Practices, Standards and Systems

● Supporting, maintaining and developing existing partnerships and manage the systems (including CRM use) needed for excellent partnerships delivery, stewardship and development.

● Leading Warm Welcome Space good practice and driving up quality standards across the network, including through developing a Warm Welcome Awards programme.

● Promoting good practice in volunteering and supporting Spaces to maximise and grow volunteering opportunities.

● Working with the team and, using our new CRM, track, measure and analyse our partnerships delivery.

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide sound financial management for the Association and CET through:

• Statutory financial reporting in line with Charity SORP/UK GAAP, including annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission

At Action Tutoring, data is central to everything we do. With an evidence-based culture and impact at the centre of our strategy, gathering and analysing high-quality data is a key priority.

Our highly customised Salesforce database supports every aspect of our work—capturing and managing data from volunteers, pupils, schools, and tutoring sessions. As Data and Insights Manager, you will make sure our system remains fit for purpose and help turn data into meaningful insights that can inform decision-making.

Duties and responsibilities 

Salesforce and systems development

• Collaborate with external Salesforce development consultants to continue building our system capabilities and design.
• Design and oversee the collection of stakeholder, tutoring delivery, quality assurance and evaluation data, working with colleagues to ensure data is collected in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.

Team leadership and support

• Line manage the Data Lead, ensuring their work is of high quality and they have clear development objectives.
