Strategy, vision and impact [25%]
- Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
- Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
- Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets
Leadership, line management and training [25%]
- Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
- Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
- Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme
Relationship management [20%]
- Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
- Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
- Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room
Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]
- Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
- Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
- Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and overcome significant barriers to employment
Operations [10%]
- Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

Prostate Cancer UK are launching the most ambitious fundraising appeal in our history, and we’re looking for a brilliant Appeal Manager to help make it happen. In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of the campaign, working closely with the Head of Appeal to keep everything on track and running smoothly. What we want from you

With the forthcoming launch of our new strategy on the horizon, Mencap is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager. This role is pivotal in aligning our new strategic priorities with donor engagement to secure long-term support and significant income. As the Senior Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the High Value Relationships team and will work closely with the High Value Relationships Lead to ensure key priorities and goals are met.
This excellent opportunity is offering a full-time contract (37.5 hrs per week) on a permanent basis.
The role will be based in London. However, we are flexible with where you work, but there will be occasional travel to our London office.
Do you have the key responsibilities to be our Senior Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager?
- Develop and submit high-quality, strategically aligned proposals that secure six- and seven-figure, multi-year donations, tailored to the priorities of prospective funders and aligned with KPI-driven volume.
- Identify and research new philanthropic prospects, including trusts, foundations.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of income from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and lottery funders.
- Focus on cultivating and managing multi-year funding relationships to ensure long-term income sustainability.
- Strengthen existing donor partnerships while proactively identifying and engaging new funding opportunities, statutory bodies, lottery funders, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of mid- to high-value donors, cultivating relationships that lead to significant, multi-year support.
- Create compelling, tailored proposals and stewardship plans aligned with Mencap’s strategic priorities

Job Purpose
This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
- To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
- To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
- To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
- To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis via a drop-in service.

The Role
The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of senior support workers and support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site and allocated borough following the borough-based approach. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service. The role will include implementing a smooth running of the service including facilitating debriefing and providing senior support onsite. The role of the team manager is non-clinical.
