Data Officer

We are looking for an individual with a keen, analytical mind who is comfortable working with large datasets to be a Data Officer within the Knowledge and Insight team.

Position: SIT62 Data Officer

Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work related meetings)

Salary: Circa £32,100 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,275 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract: This is a 12 month fixed term contract from appointed start date.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. You will work alongside three other Data Officers to assess, prioritise and provide solutions including the building of data selections and journeys for direct marketing purposes and the running of supporter data imports and exports.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering data selections, Building automated journeys for fundraising and engagement activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring communications are delivered to agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Providing reports and data sets to supporter product owners, managers and delivery staff to help them maximise the impact of activities.

About You

You will have experience of using CRM Dynamics, Faststats and  PeopleStage and or any Donor CRM for marketing purposes. You will receive support while you are learning to use any of the tools and applications the team use and will be actively encouraged in the development of your data and analytical skills. Communication skills play a key part in this role, because you will need to be able to talk through or present selections or solutions to stakeholders.

You will have a proven record of:

• Working with large datasets for marketing purposes and provide solutions and or data in response to enquiries from colleagues and other teams.
• Using a relational customer/supporter database to import and export data to and from external suppliers; including data mapping and the design of appropriate import processes.
• Use of a marketing automation tools such as Faststats and PeopleStage.

We are looking for Sessional Workers to support Advance’s Criminal Justice Services. Advance’s Criminal Justice Services work with women involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance’s Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required.

This post is not fixed hours or full time, work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

Role Overview: Fundraising and Operations Director

The successful candidate will lead RLS’s income generation through our next phase of development. You’ll oversee our relationships with key funders, individual giving, our approach to major donors and our communications. You’ll work closely with the Management Team and trustees to set and implement fundraising strategy and highlight and manage risk.

As a member of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the organisation, with involvement in decisions from strategy to HR, project design and many other aspects of our work.

Core Responsibilities:

Fundraising strategy and development 

• Lead the development and delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy to meet our funding targets and deliver our strategy.
• Meaningfully involve and guide the Management Team, trustees and Fundraising Officer in strategy development and delivery. 
• Develop new funding sources as appropriate.
• Ensure that funding sources fit with RLS’s values and our moral and ethical fundraising policy.

Organisational leadership 

• Work with the Management Team and trustees to lead on the delivery of RLS’s strategic objectives.
• Work with the Management Team to lead RLS, including finding creative solutions to issues as they arise and ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.
• Foster a supportive work environment that’s true to RLS’s values.

Lead on funder relationships 

• Develop and cultivate relationships with potential funders.

Person Specification

• Senior leadership experience in income generation 
• Proven success in securing significant, multi-source funding, including trusts and foundations.

The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust safeguards one of the capital’s most remarkable places - an internationally important example of early 20th-century town planning and architecture. This is a varied role at the centre of the Trust’s daily operations. You’ll be the first point of contact for residents and stakeholders, keep our records and systems accurate, prepare papers and minutes for trustee meetings, support communications (including social media), and help ensure the office runs smoothly. The Operations Coordinator will provide vital support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation, providing key operations administrative support to areas including, but not limited to Facilities, Office, IT, Data, Health & Safety and Policies & Procedures.

Key responsibilities:

Facilities and Office Admin

• Act as the main point of contact for the ScreenSkills office as a key liaison with the serviced office team (Techspace), meeting and greeting visitors as a representative of the organisation, managing visitor passes etc.
• Provide general office support in the smooth running of the office operations, acting as a key liaison for all ScreenSkills staff, including the set-up and exit requirements for new-starters and leavers.
• Manage meeting room booking requests, alongside the CEO’s PA, overseeing requirements for internal/external meetings, helping coordinate bookings on ScreenSkills desk booking system.
• Coordinate enquiries to the wider operations team, managing email inboxes and any other reasonable communication duties as requested.
• Act as direct contact for business enquiries - answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls from 3CX (telephone switchboard).

IT and Software

• Ensure all staff have suitable IT equipment and telecoms (as authorised), liaising with our IT providers (TouchTec) as needed, ensuring fixed IT assets are assigned, tracked and reported to finance and the COO proficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ability to provide calm first-line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting room AV and online platforms. Logging and tracking issues and following-up support tickets diligently.

Data and Compliance

• Coordinating data processing requirements in line with our policies. Assist with managing data as instructed and per our data handling and retention policies.
• Coordinate and track data subject access requests as these arise.

Health & Safety

• Coordinate general Health and Safety documentation within the organisation ensuring fire and general risk assessments are completed in a timely manner, working with HR to coordinate information between the Techspace team and our Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
• Act as a First Aider and/or Fire Marshal for ScreenSkills staff.
• Arrange annual training for first aiders and fire marshals.

Policies and Procedures

• Monitor the organisation’s policies, ensuring relevant senior managers are aware of the schedule to review/update them.
• Signposting staff to relevant policies and procedures as requested.
• Coordinate and track the organisations’ complaints process.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

• Proven experience working in a busy office and hybrid work environment, performing first class operations admin (e.g. office admin and or facilities coordinator tasks), supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.
• Demonstrate experience acting as a key representative of the organisation in a “front-of-house” role, ensuring a professional and courteous communication style at all times.

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.

Reporting into the Challenge Events Manager, you’ll boost our ability to grow our portfolio of events and connect personally with the incredible people who support CALM on a day to day basis. 

The reasons people fundraise for CALM can be deeply personal. They might have lost someone to suicide, used our helpline for themselves or someone they know, or they might want to support a lifesaving service. By understanding what drives them, you’ll shape and deliver event experiences that feel meaningful and memorable, strengthen their connection to CALM, and inspire them to keep coming back for more. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s fundraising targets, through excellent event delivery, relationship management and supporter care

• Ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM, as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy

• Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management

SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT AND STEWARDSHIP

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide general support to the Challenge Events Manager with event day delivery as required

• Represent CALM at Challenge Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of the Challenge Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our email marketing strategy to event participants 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Challenge Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team upon sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work across various income platforms to ensure fundraising pages and donations are correctly coded, including JustGiving and Enthuse

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement
