Fundraising Manager
 

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager – Trusts & Foundations and Corporate Fundraising to join a pioneering organisation.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

About the Role:

As Fundraising Manager, you will support the Director of Fundraising in implementing our charity's strategy across trusts & foundations and corporate fundraising. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering fundraising plans, managing donor relationships, and leading income generation from both new and existing funders. This includes building funding propositions for corporate donors, securing grants, and stewarding relationships to maximise long-term support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and apply for funding from trusts, foundations, and corporates.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with funders and major donors.
• Manage the full grant and partnership lifecycle—from research to reporting.
• Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to secure income from strategic corporate partners.
• Develop compelling, impact-driven funding proposals tailored to donor motivations.

• Ensure GDPR compliance and effective donor acknowledgement systems.

About You:

You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a track record of securing five- and six-figure gifts.

You'll have a passion for transforming young lives and thrive in a mission-driven environment. You bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on fundraising execution, with the confidence to engage major donors and corporates.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:

• At least 3 years' experience in fundraising, with success in securing significant grants.
• At least 2 years' experience in corporate fundraising or CSR partnerships.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent proposal-writing skills.
• Outstanding research and analytical abilities.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Empathy for care-experienced young people and a commitment to the charity’s mission.
• Understanding of donor/partner motivations and corporate philanthropy.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM desirable.
• Event management and knowledge of local funders and corporate CSR programmes is a plus.

About Sydenham Garden

Based in Lewisham in South-East London, Sydenham Garden is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. We provide nature and arts based creative, social and therapeutic activities for co-workers (the name we give to our primary beneficiaries).

About the role 

Our Director has been in post since November 2021 and on returning from maternity leave in January 2026 she will be working 3 days a week.  We are seeking a Co-Director to jointly lead the organisation going forwards as we have made a positive decision to move towards a co-director model.  This is an exciting opportunity which can have benefits of increasing capacity, efficiency, and transparency and allow for a broader range of identities both to better reflect the diverse populations they serve and as a way to include more diverse leaders. It is a model that can also reduce burnout, build equity, and support flexible working.

As Co-Director you will be jointly responsible for leading and manage the day-to-day running of Sydenham Garden for the benefit of our co-workers.  This will involve overseeing implementation and regular review of Sydenham Garden’s strategic plan and to ensure all governance arrangements are in place to monitor the work of the organisation and to report to the Board of Trustees and to funders.

Carers UK is here to make life better for unpaid carers. Through our national helpline, email and online support services, we offer practical information and advice to carers across the UK. Our Carer Services directorate leads on delivering this vital support. It oversees our helpline and online advice services, develops trusted information resources and digital content, coordinates peer support and volunteering opportunities, and runs services designed to help carers feel recognised, supported and connected.
 

About the role

In this role, you will help deliver high-quality support to unpaid carers by coordinating key elements of our advice and information services. You will manage a small team of freelance advisers, maintain oversight of our helpline provision, and ensure that the support carers receive is accurate, timely, and empathetic. You will also lead online information and peer-support sessions for carers, contribute to the development of helpful resources, and use data and feedback to inform service improvements. The role includes a safeguarding element, supporting the identification and appropriate response to any concerns. Experience in advice services would be an advantage, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a strong commitment to making a difference for carers.
 

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident in communicating clearly and empathetically. You will have excellent planning skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service. You may have experience coordinating people or services and ideally some familiarity with advice provision, helpline delivery, or the wider social care or welfare landscape - although this is not essential. You are comfortable working with data to support service improvement, understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality, and are motivated by making a positive impact on the lives of unpaid carers.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an IGVA supporting women and children who are impacted by different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). The independent gender violence advocate will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children.

The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence). The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options

This role is offered on a flexible full-time permanent contract basis paying a salary between £45,405 to £50,450 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their London office.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate key donor relationships and continue the development and implementation of the strategy to grow the major donor pipeline.
