Purpose of the role:
At NEON, we know that you can’t separate the external work of the organisation from the internal work. They are so interlinked and interdependent that they both have to be given priority and resources if we want to achieve high impact. We see them as inseparable.
So the purpose of this role is to support NEON achieving its mission by ensuring the smooth running of NEON’s finance systems and processes. You’ll do this by delivering on the main financial tasks day-to-day, and support with finance projects aimed at improving NEON’s systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Doing all of our day-to-day fundraising administration to keep us well-organised and compliant. This includes:
-
Recording and monitoring fundraising data using our Fundraising Tracking Database
-
Keeping all of our grant agreements, contracts and other relevant documentation well-organised on GDrive and elsewhere
-
Ensuring compliance with the financial requirements of the grant agreements, and updating and maintaining the grant payments schedule
-
Raising invoices on Xero in line with funder agreements - noting instalment dates and receipts
-

Preparing payroll each month, ensuring everything happens on time and coordinating with our payroll agency. (This may only be a temporary responsibility)

Processing and reconciling payments. This includes:
-
Reconciling bank receipts and chasing late payments
-
Processing supplier invoices and payments
-
Monitoring our team’s Pleo card expenses and posting on Slack to our team for authorisation
-
Managing the subscriptions on Pleo cards (this is likely a temporary responsibility until our People & Ops Manager returns from sabbatical leave)

Preparing some financial reports and accounts. This includes accounts to trial balance, and ad hoc reports from Xero when our team have finance queries or need support

Supporting with finance projects which make our finance systems work more efficiently, simply and sustainably e.g. helping to update our budget spreadsheets and approach to budgeting, or moving to a new bank

Supporting the Head of Finance with budgets, financial planning and reports and any other ad hoc finance tasks

Being part of Ops Hub shared work and cross-organisational work and team days
About you:
-
You have experience dealing with people in different capacities, both internally and externally, on a day to day basis, and build strong working relationships

You have solid finance experience and skill. For us that means:
-
a minimum of three years work experience in a finance role, preferably within the charity/non profit sector. This means you have a good understanding of non-profit finance, including VAT and managing restricted and unrestricted funds
-
a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (with BACs, invoicing, etc) and Receivable (invoicing and credit control) processes
-
a Level 4 AAT, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
-
experience in control accounts reconciliation, and posting journals
-

You know how to use accounting software and apps (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks, Sage) as well as Microsoft Excel or Google sheets

You are proactive, well-organised and feel empowered to solve problems yourself when they come up (sometimes described as an “ownership mindset”), as well as balancing this with asking for help when you need it

DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
You will be required to identify opportunities to develop and grow DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area with the aim of supporting the organisation to ensure that as many people as need it have access to DFN Project SEARCH programmes.

This is an ambitious project by Inner Forth Futures (IFF) - a collaboration of 9 organisations, who have committed to work together with advisory organisations, stakeholders and community groups to achieve a shared vision. The Inner Forth Futures vision is that the sense of connection, purpose and place that put the Inner Forth at the forefront of the industrial development of Scotland will be revitalised. We aim to achieve this using a landscape scale approach with heritage at its core to engage people in new ways in the Inner Forth’s management.
The Climate FORTH project began delivery in August 2023 and will run until November 2026 to contribute significantly to delivering our vision. Climate FORTH is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and a range of co-funders.
The project will support a move to a greener future and post-pandemic recovery and generate opportunities to share learning, influence adaption and inspire the change needed to transition to a climate-resilient landscape in the Inner Forth and beyond. In this Project Officer role you will support project delivery by leading business and tourism sector engagement activity that supports the delivery of our sustainable tourism activities.
This will include the following activities;
- Facilitating the use of a Visitor Giving Scheme across the landscape - an opportunity for those benefitting and enjoying the local heritage of the Inner Forth to invest and enhance.
- Develop and deliver the ‘Round the Forth passport scheme’ to encourage locals and visitors alike to engage with heritage sites in the landscape.
- Facilitating the creation of car free itineraries and signage for heritage attractions in the Inner Forth.
- Setup and delivery of a series of events at lesser-known heritage sites and ‘visiteering’ opportunities (volunteer sessions for visitors) to promote local tourism and support the economic resilience of local businesses.
- Engaging local businesses with a created ‘Tourism Toolkit’ - designed to provide information on the local area, its heritage assets and offering resources to promote walking/cycling tourism.
- Setup and delivery of Tourism and Hospitality Business Upskilling sessions promoting the Tourism Toolkit, including familiarisation trips, talks from industry specialists and networking.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in the business engagement and/or tourism sector. You will be supported by the Climate FORTH Project Manager, Steering Group and Board but you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and to demonstrate your own initiative.
The post will be based at the RSPB Skinflats Reserve near Falkirk, with flexibility to work part of the week from home and occasional weekend and evening work. The role will include regular travel around the Inner Forth to businesses and sites.
Additional responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager with elements of grant reporting and contributing to internal and external communications.

- Experience of business engagement and / or working with the tourism sector.
- Knowledge of a range of techniques for promoting heritage or sustainable tourism.

About the role
In order to reach and support more kinship carers with these programmes and our other services, we have developed a new Marketing Team to develop and deliver integrated, strategic and creative marketing and engagement campaigns and strategies. This team is now established with clear plans to engage kinship carer audiences, rooted in insights.
Strategic engagement with professionals from the education sector as a conduit to engage kinship carers in our services offer is a key part of this role, and a relatively new area of focus for Kinship. Delivering against a strategic plan already in place, you will be managing relationships and marketing approaches to Virtual Schools, select Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and other education professionals through umbrella bodies and associations to execute this.
Who we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, senior-level marketeer or engagement professional with a strong track record in further developing and delivering successful multi-channel marketing strategies targeted at a range of audiences to join us as a Head of Marketing and Strategic Engagement to oversee this team. Experience in working in the education sector, or an engagement role would be advantageous.
We’re looking for someone excited to hit the ground running, able to plan strategically, deliver operationally and take creative approaches to maximising engagement and acquisition with a small in-house team. A strategic thinker and natural collaborator, you’ll be able to work across the organisation to further develop integrated marketing across Kinship’s services and programmes, and ensure these align with our wider external communications, including to our Kinship Community of more than 12,000 carers.
You will have significant experience in leading marketing teams and have demonstrable experience in delivering successful, engaging marketing and engagement strategies. You’ll be comfortable getting very involved in the operational delivery of our marketing and engagement plans, supporting your team and demonstrating an insight and audience-led approach to both digital and offline marketing, thriving in an environment where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the progress of various strands of marketing activity.
Key responsibilities include:

Using data and market insights, develop and oversee the implementation of high-quality, integrated and strategic marketing and engagement strategies to support Kinship’s awareness, understanding, interest, income generation, engagement and growth amongst key audiences, with a particular focus on marketing our programmes and services.

Role Overview

This role contributes to the delivery of the key objectives of the Marketing and Communications team:
- To increase awareness of Global Fund for Children’s work (the number of people who ‘see’ and ‘think’ about our work).

You will be responsible for creating high quality, engaging and original content for various channels, including reels, carousels and posts for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. You will be keen to develop and establish new communities on other channels as the social media landscape changes. Translating the work of our grassroots partners and GFC staff into powerful social media narratives, you will produce content that is aligned with our mission and ensure that we are maximising the potential of our digital channels to grow our supporter base and build a growing global movement.
You will collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, various digital agencies and colleagues around the world on a daily basis in undertaking your role coordinating campaigns and our daily social media schedule.
You should have a passion for staying up to date with industry trends and innovations, a track record of creating content aligned with cultural moments and a knowledge of how popular culture can drive social change. You will be skilled in producing viral content and driving actions and donations through social media.
To that end, you will also play a role in building relationships with our growing network of Global Ambassadors who use their networks and influence to raise the profile of our work and inspire their communities to take action. You will also provide support in managing relationships with our Global Ambassadors and other key influencers to maximise content opportunities and community building.

Position Responsibilities
Social Media Management and Digital Content Creation
- Support the execution of an integrated strategy for our social media channels including leading on content planning and creation, posting and analysis.

Terms and Conditions

Terms: Full-time contract, home-based with attendance from time to time at the UK office in central London when necessary or requested to deliver work plans.

About the role
Sightsavers’ Mozambique country office (MCO) oversees the implementation of Sightsavers’ programmes in Mozambique that focus on eye health (cataracts and refractive error), Neglected Tropical Diseases (trachoma and onchocerciasis) and social inclusion (economic empowerment), with the finance function overseeing a vast portfolio of activities covering the various aspects of finance and administration. At this moment, the role of Finance & Support Services Manager (FSSM) is currently vacant in Mozambique at a time where the total programme portfolio is at a significant level.
Given this vacancy at management level, combined with significant levels of programme funding planned in Mozambique for the foreseeable future, this is a great opportunity for the organisation to understand the current gaps and needs for the country office finance and support services (FSS) function going forward.
As the Senior Finance Consultant, you will provide expert advice on the steps and resources required to transform the FSS function, within the next 12 to 18 months and lead on the implementation the agreed transformation roadmap.

This Data Analyst position will primarily work within the Drive programme team. The Drive Project is our flagship intervention working with those causing harm in their relationships to prevent abusive behaviour and protect victim-survivors. Service users have been assessed as posing a high-risk, high-harm level of domestic abuse to the people that they are in intimate or family relationships with. They also often have multiple needs and are resistant to change. The Drive Project has an intensive case management approach that challenges service users to change and works with partner agencies – like the police and social services – to disrupt abuse.

The Activate Fund:
For 60 years, the Churchill Fellowship has been supporting remarkable individuals to source solutions from around the world to tackle critical issues affecting communities in the UK. The Activate Fund is an extension of the Fellowship which provides further funding and support to Fellows on their return to the UK to turn their ideas into action and achieve real and lasting change.
Purpose of the role:
This is a new role which sits within the Fellowship team and will be responsible for the re-opening of the Activate Fund in June 2026, following completion of a successful pilot. The Head of Activate will lead on all aspects of the application and award cycle and on the development of additional forms of support to enhance Fellows’ impact on society. The role will be supported by the Activate Manager, work closely with the Salesforce and Engagement teams, and alongside colleagues managing the annual Fellowship selection process.
This is a new role which is being recruited with sufficient lead-in time for the Head of Activate to be inducted into the existing processes to deliver the first year of awards, with scope to introduce new ideas to enhance the Fund’s impact from Year 2.
Key responsibilities:
Delivery of Activate
- Lead on the re-introduction of the Activate Fund; responsible for ensuring that potential applicants and relevant stakeholders understand the purpose, scope and criteria of the Fund and that all systems and processes are in place for applications to open in June 2026.
- Lead on the selection process from pre-applicant support to application, assessment and award, supported by the Activate Manager, working closely with the Salesforce team and the Comms team, and ensuring the process is aligned with TCF’s EDI values and strategic priorities.
- Lead on the iterative improvement of application and award documentation, throughout the lifetime of the Fund, working closely with the Salesforce team to ensure that any process changes are agreed with sufficient planning time to be implemented ahead of the next cycle.
- Oversee and participate in the longlisting and shortlisting of applications to the Fund, alongside other Fellowship staff and external assessors, where required.
- Responsible for establishing and convening (an) award panel(s) for the Activate Fund and working with the Chief Executive and Engagement team to identify panel members, likely to be drawn from the Fellowship’s Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, expert working groups and/or previous Activate grantees.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate due diligence is conducted on applicants and where relevant, host organisations, to ensure that Activate grants are awarded in line with TCF’s charitable objectives and for a purpose that benefits individuals and communities in the UK.
- Attend and play a key role in the Activate selection interviews, including supporting Panel decision making according to agreed selection criteria, grant-setting and providing feedback to unsuccessful applicants.
- Oversee the award, payment and reporting of Activate grants, including the development of appropriate terms and conditions, and reporting requirements.
- Manage the Activate annual budget, ensuring that grants awarded are in line with the annual budgetary allocation for the Fund and report as required to the SLT.
- In collaboration with the Development team and Salesforce team, set up appropriate reporting mechanisms so that funding partners contributing to the Fund are informed of relevant Activate awards and updated on progress, as required.
Safeguarding and EDI
- Work with the Fellowship’s safeguarding lead and with the Fellowship Director to identify safeguarding risks and develop appropriate processes that are specific to the Activate Fund, for example where Fellows are working with children and adults at risk.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Fellowship’s approach to Fellows’ wellbeing, particularly when awarding grants to Fellows with lived experience of the issues they are addressing in their project.
- Work closely with the Fellowship’s EDI lead to ensure a proactive and consistent approach to EDI in the delivery of the Fund; in particular, that the Activate Fund’s selection processes are accessible to all Fellows eligible to apply, that EDI is core to the development of pre-application and non-financial support, and that the Fund’s messaging is inclusive and representative of the diversity of Churchill Fellows.
Enhancing Fellows’ capacity to achieve UK impact
- Building on learning from the Activate pilot, work closely with the Activate Manager to develop a support offer for Activate grantees that enhances their capacity to deliver their funded project and create change in their chosen sector or community; this could include 1:1 support such as mentoring and coaching and/or peer learning, convening and networking opportunities with the wider Fellowship community.
- Working closely with the Fellowship Director and Head of Fellowship, explore if there might be opportunities for scaling support which has been tried and tested with Activate grantees, to Fellows at different stages in their Fellowship journey.
- In collaboration with the Engagement team, support Fellows to develop relationships with individuals and organisations in relevant sectors that will amplify the impact of their Activate project and proactively explore opportunities for Knowledge Partners to contribute time, expertise and networking support to Activate grantees.
Evaluation and Learning
- Working closely with the Engagement Director, to develop an approach for evaluating how the Activate Fund enhances Fellows’ capacity to create change in the UK.
- Apply lessons learned from stakeholder feedback to improve the experience of Activate applicants and grantees through changes to the selection process, development of new forms of support and extension of networking opportunities with the wider Fellowship community.
- Working closely with the Fellowship Director to undertake a strategic review of the impact of the Fund from the end of Year 3.
- Keep up to date with new thinking and research around supporting and developing individuals and good practice in grant making, including developing relationships with relevant individuals and organisations.
Fellowship team
- Attend quarterly leadership meetings, where appropriate and, in particular, to contribute to thinking about TCF’s role in supporting Fellows to achieve change in the UK.
- Attend Fellow-led events as appropriate and utilise knowledge of Fellows’ activation of their Fellowship learning to contribute to the design and delivery of Fellowship events, such as Connect & Inspire, as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent transferable skills
Skills & Experience
- 10 years’ experience in grant making, with at least 3 years in a senior grant making role with responsibility for designing and delivering an end-to-end grant making process.
- Experience of managing a multi-year grant making or support programme and balancing ongoing delivery with innovation and improvement.
- Experience of working with and supporting individuals to create change whether through grant making, learning and facilitation or movement building.
- Demonstrable knowledge of different grant making practices and a commitment to trying out new approaches to remove barriers to those furthest away from funding.
- Experience of convening and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders to deliver time-sensitive projects or programmes and confident in liaising and negotiating with busy people in senior positions.
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience in safeguarding and or risk management.
- Experience in analysing and interpreting data for the purpose of monitoring, evaluation and improvement.
- Experience using and interacting with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and of working collaboratively with a data management/systems team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for communicating face-to-face, in writing and by telephone with individuals at all levels.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and comfort with facilitating meetings via video conferencing platforms.

Standard working hours are 36.5 hours a week 9.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Friday, including a paid lunch break of one hour.
We have embraced the benefits of working from home and at the same time, we value the contribution of face-to-face contact in building teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues, exchanging ideas and know-how, and for work efficiency. We therefore operate a hybrid working policy, where staff can work from home if they wish, however everyone is required to work in the office a minimum of 1 to 2 days a week with Tuesdays as the core day for regular whole team meetings, and Thursdays as an additional core day for Senior Leaders.

Vision of adventure, a small outdoor charity based in the Lake District , is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. The team comprises five part-time workers, numerous volunteers, and the board of trustees. We all work remotely, use each others first names, and have flexible scheduling.
The role of a fundraiser is paramount to our continued sustainability. You will be solely responsible for our fundraising initiatives. The charity has a commendable track record of raising funds, and you will be expected to surpass these targets as a professional fundraiser. An engagement officer will support your role by gathering feedback and preparing draft funder impact reports.
You will have extensive demonstrable fundraising experience. You will be personable, be an excellent communicator , make appropriate use of information communication technology, and capable of managing your own time and workload.
