We are now seeking an experienced Research Partnerships Manager to play a key role in driving forward our research strategy through effective collaboration with external research partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that advance our work across the department. 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify, build and maintain partnerships which will push progress for our research strategy;

Strategic Planning: 

· Develop a strategic approach to research partnerships, identifying the purpose and benefit for collaboration. 

· Contribute to the development of strategic plans by providing insights on potential partnerships that align. 

· Monitor industry trends and identify emerging opportunities for collaboration. 

Partnership Development: 

· Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders aligned with organisational goals. Develop background intelligence on potential partners. 

· Collaborate with the Research, Policy and Communications teams to understand organisational priorities and develop partnership opportunities. 

Relationship Management: 

· Support building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential partners. Support the Leadership Team to maintain a network of partners. 

· Coordinate partnership activities to ensure internal alignment. 

Proposal Development: 

· Lead the development of partnership proposals, agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal, finance, and research teams.

Performance Monitoring: 

· Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of strategic partnerships. 

· Regularly report on partnership outcomes to leadership. 

Interactions between Research and other ARUK Teams 

· Take part in working groups related to the wider priorities of ARUK. 

· Work closely with other teams to ensure that relevant research partnerships with other organisations are well-managed and communicated. 

What we are looking for:

· First Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science.

· Proven experience in strategic partnership development and management, preferably in the healthcare, research, or charity sector. 

· Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and partnerships simultaneously. 

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

· Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: £25,200p.a. pro-rata (£31,500p.a. FTE) Wigan office or remoted based

Keep Britain Tidy has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the Chewing Gum Task Force programme. The Chewing Gum Task Force is a partnership between Defra, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland, Scottish Government and Welsh Government and chewing gum producers including Mars Wrigley and Perfetti Van Melle which aims to clean up historic gum staining from UK high streets and change behaviour so that more people bin their gum.

The Project Manager will lead on overall administration of the scheme and manage the cleansing grant programme for councils, working alongside partner organisation Behaviour Change. In Years 1 and 2 of the scheme, participating councils have seen reductions in gum littering of up to 80% in the first two months. Now in Year 3, we will shortly distribute more than £1.2m funding to councils across the UK.

This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management, ideally in environmental projects and/or grant schemes. Excellent organisational and record keeping skills are a must, along with the ability to form good working relationships with Chewing Gum Task Force stakeholders.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams. 

If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. An experienced digital professional, you may have worked for a charity or digital agency before in a similar role. You will be motivated by delivering high quality digital products and will be familiar with a range of digital channels and platforms. About the Role

About the role

Key responsibilities  

Events Management 

• Manage end-to-end delivery of Media Trust events, campaigns and projects of varying size, format and complexity, both in person and virtually

What we are looking for in you 

Essential

You'll craft proposals that align with donor policies, contextual needs, and WV's strategic vision. Mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and harnessing valuable lessons learned will be your forte.

Essential Criteria

• Expertise in Multi-Sector Program Management: Demonstrated proficiency in assessing, designing, and managing projects across diverse sectors within complex settings. A track record of navigating the project cycle successfully and securing institutional funding from bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Exceptional Project Management Skills: Proven ability to excel in managing multifaceted tasks within challenging timelines. Prioritization prowess is key, consistently meeting deadlines amidst competing demands.
• Donor Relationship Management: Extensive experience cultivating and sustaining relations with institutional donors such as DFID/FCDO, EU/ECHO, and UN bodies. Adept at analysing funding requirements and adeptly navigating varied worldviews. Skilled in fostering, managing, and evolving relationships within consortium partnerships.
• Proactive Innovation and Process Improvement: A proactive and creative approach to refining existing processes and devising new strategies for enhanced efficiency and efficacy. Strong emphasis on knowledge management within a high-pressure team environment.
• Team Leadership and Financial Acumen: Proven track record in assembling and nurturing project teams. Proficiency in linking financial aspects with operational requirements to ensure seamless project execution.
