The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire has over 38,000 members and is looking for someone to join the Supporter Engagement Team to focus on developing and delivering event and engagement opportunities to maximise income and membership growth. The main objectives of the role are to:

- Support the Corporate Partnership team by participating in regular events, work parties, walks, and talks.

Purpose of the Job:
The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for leading and managing all fundraising activities to generate income for the Sanctuary. The role involves developing corporate partnerships, organising events, and overseeing digital fundraising efforts. The post-holder will also be responsible for delivering effective, measurable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for business supporters, managing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring financial targets are met.
This role is key to increasing corporate and community engagement, growing fundraising channels, and enhancing the Sanctuary’s digital presence to maximise income generation. The Head of Fundraising will work closely with internal teams to coordinate activities, monitor performance, and identify new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships
· Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate donors, securing new partnerships while managing existing relationships and ensure that these relationships are properly managed through regular contact and progress reports.
· Build strong relationships with business supporters to secure both general and restricted funds.
· Develop and deliver corporate volunteering days, team-building activities, and fundraising opportunities.
· Oversee the logistics, including venue bookings for corporate and external events, increasing revenue through targeted business engagement.
· Review contracts, letters of agreement and other correspondence for current corporate partners.
Fundraising Strategy & Income Generation
· Work closely with the senior management and the Board to develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy.
· Propose and test new fundraising opportunities across corporate, digital, and community fundraising streams.
· Support and deliver fundraising events, appeals, and campaigns to meet financial targets.
· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices, including GDPR and the Charities Act.
Events & Campaign Management
· Plan and execute fundraising events, coordinating internal and external teams for smooth delivery.
· Lead on corporate sponsorship and event partnerships to maximise income and brand exposure.
· Represent the Sanctuary at networking events, industry meetings, and public engagements to increase awareness and secure funding.
Digital Fundraising & Social Media
· Oversee digital fundraising campaigns, maximising income from online channels.
· Develop compelling digital content to engage supporters and attract new donors.
· Manage social media fundraising activities across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
· Track, analyse, and report on digital fundraising performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
Monitoring & Reporting
·Regularly review fundraising performance, preparing reports for senior management and Board.
· Maintain accurate donor and corporate records, ensuring data is up to date and GDPR compliant.
General Duties
· Meet regularly with Trustee to update them on proposals and to provide regular updates on progress.
· Assist with website content, newsletters, and marketing materials.
· Always ensure a positive representation of the Sanctuary, especially when engaging with the public and corporate partners.

Our dialogue team work with a range of different agencies to deliver our face to face fundraising campaigns. These campaigns help fundraise to change children’s lives every single day.
These roles are known internally as Senior Individual Giving Executive – Direct Dialogue.
Salary
The salary for this position is £36,654 per annum and we operate a hybrid working model of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
This is a varied role encompassing:

The Head of Business Development works closely with the CEO and has responsibility for all aspects of the development of BLCF’s business interests including long-term income growth, philanthropy, partnerships, communication and new business initiatives. Responsibilities
Work with the CEO and Head of Impact to develop plans and strategies to ensure quality services are delivered that meet organisational objectives and charitable articles to the highest standards.
As part of the Senior Leadership team, work with, advise, contribute, and respond to the CEO and Head of Impact and the partnership they create to ensure they are deliverable and adequately resourced and costed and deliverable.

Core Role Delivery

Oversees the team and external contractors tasked with effective communication with our corporate and business partners to ensure it is a means to drive partnership and business growth.
Staff & Contract Management
Ensure an appropriate, effective staff, freelance and volunteer structure to deliver the services; recruit and manage staff & volunteers and resources to achieve required service response and quality.
Ensure all staff development and review processes are undertaken including induction, appraisal, and performance, in line with required processes. Resolve performance issues among staff and volunteers engaged in delivering services.
Performance Management
Working under the direction of the CEO develop, agree, and secure agree all partnership agreements and MOU that support the emerging partnerships and ensure they are in line with the Donor Care Plan specifications.
Working with the CEO and Finance, oversee and monitor all contract and partnership agreement terms with regards to agreed milestones and cashflow of fees and funds; anticipate problem areas and lead as necessary on mitigating action and ensure deliver of agreed targets.
Work to the Head of Impact to inform monitoring reports as required to ensure clear and transparent delivery of agree contracts.
Ensure appropriate levels of training are maintained and a good working understanding of the policies and procedures of the Foundation.
Contribute to the Quality Accreditation process to ensure highest standard of the foundation are achieved.
Relationship Management
Under the direction of the CEO develop and maintain proactive, collaborative and effective strategic relationships with corporate partners, commissioners, contract managers, business partners and funders to maximise the charity’s influence and ability to deliver quality services and grow it income and funding.
Manage the Bedfordshire & Luton Funder Network to maximise opportunities for support, collaboration, and information sharing.
Representing the Organisation
Maintain an excellent understanding of business and charity sector issues to better inform our work, ensuring information is cascaded to wider members of the team.
Represent the Foundation at Regional and National events.
Proactively develop and maintain an appropriate network of contacts in the grant making and business sectors.

Experience
Significant and demonstrable experience of partnership working and income generation and growth with a wide range of businesses, funders, Trusts, Local Authorities and the VCSE.
Clear understanding of the wider voluntary and charity sector (D).
Experience of working on delivery and negotiation of complex contracts and partnership agreements and range of successful funding applications to local and national funding initiatives.
Considerable experience of developing business initiatives to drive successful organisations in line with Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) priorities.

About the role
You will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement and growth of our national partnership through deepening the quality and impact of our local collaboration hubs. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of hubs of our schools and trusts, which includes holding responsibility for the operations of the Partnerships Team and working closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure that all hubs, schools and trusts have an excellent experience with Challenge Partners.

We’ll achieve this by advocating and working alongside those communities to promote change. We're also working to be Allies to each other, not only protected groups. In 2024, we launched our New Ally Ship Training Programme. All colleagues at Prostate Cancer UK will be trained to act and identity as an Ally.
We've also signed Business in the Communities Race at Work Charter, as a dedication to our Black health equity work and wider EDI priorities. As a signatory, we're responsible and accountable for driving positive change.
