The Role

This role is to publicise the work of the diocese to clergy, laity, communities and parishioners, and shine a light on their endeavours and successes. The team tells the stories of 808 churches and their communities while supporting the other teams and departments in the diocese in sharing their news and projects.

You will play a key role in delivering on-brand and engaging content and will develop, edit, project manage, design, and copy write communications across a wide range of channels. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop messaging, design, and tone of voice that is appropriate to the audience/channel while ensuring the highest possible editorial standards.

There is occasional weekend and evening working, so some flexibility is essential. Meeting deadlines and prioritising projects will be a core part of this role. The organisation operates a hybrid model, so 60% of your hours will be in the office.

We are seeking someone with established design skills and experience of drafting, writing, proofing, and finalising written content for both online and print purposes. You will be highly organised, technically literate, flexible, and a calm presence in a busy office. In this role you will focus on delivering strategic product management and innovation in support of our journal’s portfolio. As a member of the Product Management team, the role holder, in collaboration with the journal's senior management team, you will support the development and optimisation of journal products and services to meet the needs of researchers, authors, reviewers, editors, librarians and funders globally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a product management strategy for journals platforms, initially focusing on the Publishing Business Modernisation (PBM) programme, ensuring alignment with the Publishing Strategy and organisational goals.
• Own and coordinate the prioritise the author workstream backlog and roadmap, making strategic decisions that balance business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

• Collaborate with Journals leadership and subject matter experts, UX designers, and technology teams to create high-quality, engaging experiences.

Main requirements:

• Good degree level or equivalent in Business Administration, technology, science or a related field. (degree in chemical sciences or related subject is desirable but not essential)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing the lifecycle of digital products and services.
• Proven commercial and financial acumen, with understanding of various digital learning, licencing and packaging models.
• Experience working and managing relationships with third party platform providers.

This role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, however we are currently embracing hybrid working, and therefore you will have the opportunity to also work mostly from a UK location other than this, as agreed with your line manager. The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving. They will also lead on creating a donor experience that will ensure people can engage with us in lots of different ways, from a lottery or regular support, legacies, community fundraising and events (including the London Marathon).

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Managing and growing individual giving.
• Recruiting and stewarding individual supporters through existing channels.
• Helping to secure funding to invest in launching a World Child Cancer charity lottery.
• Stewarding participants to build a pool of regular givers, medium level donors, legacy donors and event participants.
• Ensuring fundraising data is effectively managed, analysed and utilised.
• Managing the challenge and community fundraising. Supported by the Fundraising Executive.
• Supporting the Fundraising Executive responsible for the planning and logistics for fundraising events.
• Working collaboratively with the other Fundraising teams and Marketing to ensure supporters get the best experience.

This is a hands-on management role so you will need to be prepared to do the work as well as managing. They will work as well in a team as they do on their own and be happy to undertake administrative tasks as well as more complex fundraising projects. As a smaller organisation (circa £3m) everyone has to be prepared to support each other, so tasks may vary.

Spotlight on Corruption is a small team with outsized impact that shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad.

What we are looking for

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual with a strong background in financial management, strategic planning and operational management, to play a central role within our small but dynamic team. • Manage subscription payments for our magazine, FORWARD, including sending renewal reminders by email and post.

The Climate Change team is working as part of the Global Outcomes Department, having our Impact and Influencing function catalyse positive change for children and their communities; by driving influencing agendas and bringing knowledge, evidence, analysis and expertise to our partnerships, programmes and advocacy work.    

 The Climate Change Team at SCUK also works as part of the Global Save the Children movement and the wider sector to drive long lasting systems changes at the global and country levels. We are committed to promoting inclusive and equitable solutions, amplifying the voices of children most affected by climate change, and prioritising locally led efforts for lasting change, through our ever-growing portfolio in UK, Africa and Asia. We are also committed to shifting powers to the local actors and country office by strengthening capacities particularly through providing high quality technical assistance for design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of climate change projects (especially supported by GCF and other multilateral, bilateral, philanthropies and private sector development partners).

 About the role 

As a Senior Climate Change Advisor you will provide technical leadership in climate change issues and adaptation actions to shape and drive influencing and impact agendas within Save the Children and the wider sector. You will provide expert technical guidance to drive impactful programme design and evidence generation, and to policy and advocacy goals. You will build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers and partners, lead capacity strengthening for colleagues and partners, and champion equality, inclusion and the shifting power agenda. 

 In this role, you will:  

• Serve as the Technical Lead for a multi-country Climate Adaptation programme (yet to be designed and approved) in a Fragile, Conflict, and Violence-affected region, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). 
• Provide global thought leadership in climate change (adaptation primarily), environment & natural resource management to shape and drive shared influencing and impact agendas within the Save the Children movement and the wider sector, maintaining up-to-date expertise and monitoring relevant external trends. 
• Develop and deliver very high-quality policy, research, and/or technical programme design and evaluation with minimal supervision, ensuring inclusivity and excellence in implementation. 
• Contribute to a strong learning culture through leading or supporting research, evaluation, innovation and knowledge sharing. 
• Support Country Offices to integrate climate change risk management and resilience outcomes into ongoing and future humanitarian and developmental programmes, strategies, and policies. 
• Contribute to and lead the development of climate-related research, studies, evaluations, and documentation of good practice to build a body of evidence, based on best practices and lessons learned from global and national experiences, to support (i) knowledge management, (ii) evidence generation, and (iii) programme improvements 
• Facilitate capacity strengthening through mentoring, coaching, and training, providing formal and informal support to colleagues and partners to build expertise and effectiveness. 
• Work closely with colleagues across Save the Children UK and the wider movement to ensure climate is mainstreamed across all thematic areas, ensuring that colleagues are equipped with the latest climate-related science and best practices. 
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including donors, government agencies, multilateral partners, and peer organisations, to enhance collaboration and secure funding for climate-related initiatives.
• Support Country Offices in building relationships with GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and other key stakeholders to advance climate finance access and impact. 
• Work with partnerships and fundraising teams to identify and develop strategic partnerships with external organisations that aligns with Save the Children's climate-related objectives, and to identify funding opportunities for climate-related projects. 

About you  

We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills 

• Proven experience and the ability to design and implement large-scale climate adaptation programmes in developing countries, for multi-lateral and bi-lateral development partners 
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific evidence on climate change into practical programming and policy recommendations 
• Proven ability to strengthen evidence and learning uptake through analysis and collaboration, and proven ability to produce high-quality knowledge products (e.g. research, case studies, evaluations, etc.) 
• Strategic thinker and demonstrated thought leader driven by impact and evidence, curious to keep up to date with new ideas and innovations, who sees the positive potential in change 
• Experience of strengthening the integration of climate resilience and environmental sustainability into sectoral programs and/or Experience of designing and implementing nature-based solutions and adopting evidence-based ecosystem-based approaches
• Familiarity with global climate frameworks, funding mechanisms (e.g. the Green Climate Fund), and relevant policy processes. 
• Experience supporting or managing multidisciplinary teams or consortia, ideally across countries or regions. 
• The ability to be a thought leader in global or national adaptation planning such as climate and health; climate and nutrition; nature-based solutions; locally led adaptation; climate and gender; food and water security, etc. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and authenticity that enable effective communication with different audiences 
• Collaborative team player capable of coaching, motivating and working through others to achieve outstanding results 
• Effective convenor, creating synergy and maximizing collaboration 
• Proven ability to build external relationships and partnerships, and to influence decision-makers,  policy audiences (including politicians) and donors, and other key actors globally

Role Overview

You will lead key delivery areas of the marketing function, focusing on planning, running and evaluating effective, segmented email campaigns, creating compelling assets, building trust through social proof and coordinating our presence at events. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and designed to help accelerate our reach and engagement with schools, partners, and the wider education sector in both the short and longer term. Generating quality leads and nurturing to conversion is the objective. The ability to apply previous marketing experience with confidence at pace is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Email Campaign Management

• Design and implement segmented email marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive nurture, conversion and engagement

• Collaborate with the wider team on content planning and audience targeting to support both brand and programme recruitment campaigns

• Monitor and report on performance; continuously test and improve subject lines, content, and CTAs and improve MQL generation and quality

Social Proof & Case Study Development

• Identify and secure testimonials, quotes, and stories from partners and participants

• Create and manage a bank of social proof materials to support sales and marketing campaigns

• Collaborate with delivery and research teams to gather impactful data and insights
   

Event Marketing

• Plan and coordinate TDT’s presence at national and regional events

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally within a purpose-led or education-focused organisation, is essential

• Strong content and asset creation skills, confident briefing designers and writers as needed

• Experience co-ordinating, planning and running multi-touch, concurrent email marketing campaigns (Mailchimp, HubSpot, GMass or similar)

• Excellent organisational and project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines

Using your lived experience and recovery journey, you will work alongside other professionals to empower individuals to manage and improve their mental well-being, guiding them through their recovery process in a non-judgmental and supportive manner.

• Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings.
• Work alongside fellow professionals
• To provide service users with structured 1:1 mentoring support,
• Utilise IT systems to record outcomes and share information
• Record sessions in the agreed format and in line with Living Well policies
• To attend individual case reviews and individual / group supervision, consistently reflecting and enhancing skills/knowledge
• Report any concerns about service users immediately to the Lived Experience Manager
• To cooperate with Lived Experience Manager, to work safely, to comply with health and safety instructions and information.
