The Role

As Executive Director, you will be the senior officer responsible for the strategic leadership, policy development, office and staff management, financial control, stakeholder relationships and Company Secretary duties. • Strategy, Research and Policy Development: Provide strategic direction, delivering CRER’s vision, aims and objectives; lead development and execution of strategy with staff and Board, setting policy, research and advocacy priorities.
• Governance and Operational Management: Act as Company Secretary; oversee OSCR compliance; support the Board’s duties through guidance and information; prepare annual budgets; ensure sound financial management; oversee management accounts and annual reports; maintain infrastructure and regulatory compliance; implement risk management; develop funding applications and tender responses.
• Staff Leadership and Development: Lead and line-manage a motivated team; maintain and apply the CRER Policies and Procedures Handbook consistently.
• Stakeholder Relations and Public Relations: Manage external relationships with BME organisations, third sector, government, funders, academia, and parliamentarians; represent CRER in strategic discussions, public events, media, and on social media platforms.
• Other Duties: Any additional tasks required for effective organisational functioning.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

We are seeking a fixed-term Grants Manager to join the Access to Justice Foundation through July 2026. The successful candidate will join us at a particularly exciting period of organisational growth and will support us to deliver on increased grant making activity. They will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of our grant making programmes – including overseeing systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective grant making and maintaining relationships with grantees, other funders, and key stakeholders as required. As a member of the Grants team, you will report to our Grants Director (who is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the Foundation’s grant programmes and who leads the Grants team). Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.

How you will make a difference

Reporting to the Prospect Research Manager, you will identify and qualify new prospects across Philanthropy, Trusts & Grants, and Corporate Partnerships. You’ll lead personal development sessions that take our foundation programmes to new heights. Whether it's in person or via a virtual session on MS Teams, some of these activities will be in the great outdoors and enjoying our wonderful green spaces. You won’t be sitting behind a screen every day, there will be some travel required to relevant local areas to support the delivery of these exciting programmes as well as programme visits.  However, it’s not all fun and games, keeping things on point means meticulously recording info and data about our young superstars, volunteers, or partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey aligns perfectly with our funding contracts.

We’re seeking a well-organised, enthusiastic team player to join a grants team as a Grant Support Officer.

Position: Grants Support Officer

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly grants team. As part of the role you will work with a diverse range of voluntary organisations across Wales, supporting them to deliver fantastic projects.

The role is perfect for someone who is looking for a busy but varied role. If you enjoy working as part of a team and have great time management skills, this rewarding role will give you the opportunity to use your own initiative.

Some of your main duties will include:

• Speaking with potential grant applicants to determine how we may be able to support their activity
• Working as part of a team to complete assessments on grant applications
• Supporting a portfolio of organisations, with a flexible approach to ensure projects deliver

You will also have opportunities to work with other teams and funders.

This job is highly varied and fast paced, a rewarding role for a motivated, well-organised person who thrives in a team but can also work on their own initiative.

About You

You will have:

• Experience using operational systems and processes, including online databases and grant management systems
• Proven experience managing funding schemes and supporting funded projects to deliver objectives and resolve issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats (e.g. reports, presentations, social media, websites)
• Good numerical skills with experience working with financial data and using Microsoft Excel functions
• Excellent IT skills, particularly with databases, spreadsheets, email and word processing (preferably Microsoft Office)
• Highly organised, able to manage own workload, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines consistently

The ability to communicate in Welsh is also desirable.
