Job description

Job Title: Corporate Volunteering Coordinator

Location: Birmingham, B24 8HZ

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27034 per annum

We host hundreds of corporate volunteering sessions each year, giving businesses the chance to make a real impact while supporting our work. These sessions are also an important source of income for FareShare Midlands.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident and organised Corporate Volunteering Coordinator to ensure our corporate volunteering sessions run smoothly and leave a lasting impression. You’ll be the main point of contact for companies before, during and after their visit — managing bookings, welcoming groups on site, supporting activity throughout the day, and gathering feedback to help grow and strengthen these relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of corporate volunteering and room bookings — enquiries, scheduling, confirmations and follow-up.
  • Communicate clearly with company contacts to ensure their visit meets expectations and supports FareShare Midland’s objectives.
  • Ensure the hosting space is well-prepared and fit for purpose, with all facilities ready (e.g. tea, coffee, refreshments, signage and equipment).
  • Act as the main host throughout the visit, navigating the day for corporate volunteers and ensuring a smooth, engaging and positive experience from start to finish.
  • Prepare for each session, liaising with Warehouse and Kitchen teams to ensure activities and resources are ready.
  • Meet, brief and host visiting groups, providing a friendly welcome and clear information about safety and impact.
  • Be present throughout the day to support participants and ensure a positive experience.
  • Collect feedback and share outcomes to maintain and build relationships with corporate partners.
  • Keep accurate records of bookings, attendance and feedback, and report on activity as required.
  • Contribute ideas to continually improve volunteer experience and help monetise corporate relationships.
  • Work closely with the Fundraising team to identify opportunities for deeper engagement or repeat visits.
  • Provide feedback and insight from corporate visits to inform relationship management and partnership growth.
  • Support the collection of impact data and stories to demonstrate the value of corporate volunteering for partners and FareShare Midlands.
  • Liaise with internal teams to coordinate logistics, communications, and storytelling around corporate volunteering activities.

Person Specification

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
  • Strong communicator with confidence leading and engaging groups.
  • Friendly, professional and customer-focused.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Flexible and hands-on approach, comfortable working in busy environments.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and simple databases.
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate across departments

Desirable:

  • Experience in volunteer coordination, events, customer service or corporate engagement.
  • Knowledge of the charity or CSR sector.
  • Understanding of health and safety in volunteer or warehouse settings.

How to Apply

 To apply, please submit:

  • A supporting statement demonstrating your suitability for the role and explaining your interest in FareShare Midlands.
  • Your CV.

The closing date for applications is Monday 24th November 2025.
