About the role

We’re looking for a Social Care Support Coordinator with experience of person-centred, low level social care support to service users, to join our vibrant and fast paced, fully remote, Central Support team.  This team provides an an additional point of entry to Young Lives vs Cancer’s services, alongside the local social work teams based in hospitals.

This mixed team of staff and volunteers delivers UK-wide timely and compassionate digital and phone-based support to young people with cancer, and families of children with cancer. You will also be the first point of contact for phone, email and web-chat enquiries from people and organisations in their wider support network.  In addition, you will hold your own caseload of young people and families who you will provide regular telephone check-in support.

This role is a 28-hour-per-week post, and the successful candidate must be available to work on Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays. Final working-day patterns will be discussed at interview, but all hours must fall within our core hours of 09:00–17:00.

This post also includes a flex-up component, which allows the team to respond to increased demand or cover absence. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to take on additional hours (up to a maximum of 35 hours per week), as required by business need. Additional hours will be paid at a day rate, and your availability will be discussed with you at the time.

The Central Support and Social Care team is fully remote and home-based; all work will be completed at a distance.  Laptop and phone will be provided

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Providing person-centred, low level social care support to young people diagnosed with cancer and to parents/families of children with cancer, through proactive check-ins.

• Offering compassionate listening, practical advice, guidance and signposting on issues such as finance, housing, education, work and emotional wellbeing.

• Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, web chat and other digital channels, resolving or appropriately escalating queries.

• Processing referrals from professionals and self-referrals, accurately inputting information into the case management system.

• Supporting volunteers during their shifts and working collaboratively with social workers and colleagues across the wider social care teams.

• Maintaining clear, timely and confidential records and contributing to team meetings, reflective practice and shared learning.

• Participating in the duty rota and flexing up hours during busy periods to ensure families receive timely, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities 

Build Relationships with Schools and Teachers 

• Gather qualitative insights from teachers about challenges and needs in addressing OWIS topics to ensure the OWIS content and approach (the OWIS “product”) is relevant and appropriate. 

• Recruit and support 5-8 pilot schools to trial OWIS content and provide feedback.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the North Lincolnshire area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11333 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, North Lincolnshire. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (this will include the need for regular home visits and may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week

Salary: Circa £16,400 per annum (FTE circa £27,435 per annum)

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Making introductory calls to stroke survivors and carers, identifying their needs and their desired support pathway through the service.
• Delivering an effective service in line with case management principles ensuring that confidential and accurate records are kept on the CRM database.
• Organise and deliver community engagement activities such as awareness events and service presentations to promote the service and raise awareness of stroke and its risk factors

Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers. 

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. 

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South West region in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire or Somerset. There will be occasional travel around the South West Region, and you will be required to travel for quarterly face to face team meetings. 

About the team 

The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in the South West, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team of 10, which includes two Regional Casework Managers and a Regional Operations Manager. 

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

 It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative leadership development programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young leaders thrive. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year. 

The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Ashinaga UK is proud to be part of this global movement, contributing to the mission of transforming lives and communities through education. Programme Coordinator

• Location: Remote. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings. 
• Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings. 
• Hiring Date: February 2025 (Initial 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal). 
• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 dependent on candidate’s experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Operations 

• Support the end-to-end delivery of Ashinaga UK’s annual programme cycle (including university preparation camps, inductions, monthly calls, workshops, summits, and graduation activities). 
• Deliver administrative logistics, schedules, venues, travel arrangements, and programme communications. 
• Coordinate speaker invitations, facilitator briefs, and session materials. 
• Track Scholar attendance, progress and compliance across the year. 
• Draft Scholar-facing policies to support effective delivery of the programme. 

Scholar Support 

• Support Scholars in their academic, personal and professional development through the AAI leadership framework, including check-ins, coaching and progress tracking. 
• Assist in the development, organisation, and delivery of student support programming such as leadership events, workshops, and one-on-one coaching call logistics.
• Support Scholars as they develop their Ashinaga Proposal social impact projects. 

Data & Systems Management 

• Maintain programme records, databases, and reporting tools (including through our Scholar App, CRM, and internal systems). 
• Support the Programme Manager in monitoring programme KPIs and documenting insights. 

Communication 

• Write articles, Scholar profiles, and programme updates for use on the Ashinaga UK website, newsletters, and external reports. 
• Create multimedia content (photos, short videos, social media material) to showcase Scholar stories and impact

At WeSwim, we support disabled adults to swim in welcoming, inclusive volunteer run clubs across London. For many of our swimmers, the water offers a new freedom, easing pain, building confidence, and opening up new ways to move and connect.

We’re now looking for a Cubs and Community coordinator to help keep our swim sessions running smoothly and our community growing well.

This role is about people, organisation and care. You’ll coordinate weekly swim sessions, support swimmers throughout their journey with WeSwim, and make sure the behind-the-scenes admin is handled accurately and calmly. You’ll play an important role in welcoming new swimmers into our community,  building relationships with other third-sector organisations, managing waiting lists, and helping ensure our clubs remain active and well-attended.

You’ll get to know our swimmers as individuals ensuring that we can continue to create an experience where people feel supported and welcomed. No two weeks will look the same, but every week will be full of purpose.

This is a part-time role (15 hours per week), ideal for someone who is highly organised, people-focused and motivated by inclusion, community and impact. You don’t need to be a swimmer but you do need to care creating inclusive spaces where people can thrive.

Every session you support helps people who struggle to access mainstream swim sessions to exercise,to feel more confident and benefit from the WeSwim community. 

Key Responsibilities:

Club Operations & Coordination

• Coordinate weekly swim sessions, including booking swimmers and liaising with pool partners.

• Act as the main day-to-day contact for clubs, supporting swimmers, volunteers and committee members.

Swimmer Membership & Support

• Manage swimmer onboarding from application to first session.

Swimmer Recruitment & Outreach

Administration, Data & Monitoring

• Maintain club records, including membership data and attendance logs.

The successful Fundraising Co-ordinator will grow individual donations, build new relationships with potential funders, and identify and secure new grant funding in a shrinking funding landscape.

You will research the potential for other fundraising approaches and, with New Internationalist colleagues, agree on the strategic direction for this, identify key opportunities, align them with external funders, and prepare strong funding applications. You will be proactive in developing new funding contacts for New Internationalist and maintaining relationships with funders and supporters.

This new role at Young Sounds UK will lead on securing grant income from and coordinating relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This will include identifying and researching funders, submitting compelling applications and completing timely and accurate reports.

You'll need to be comfortable with managing budgets, using CRMs, and demonstrating our impact through writing case studies that bring our work to life. You'll also need to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and be organised, flexible and with a great attention to detail.

We're looking for someone who has at least three years experience of fundraising in a charity, especially if they’ve focused on fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, and who is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their career.
