Job description

Have you the passion and drive that inspires every supporter to experience the Joy of Giving?

Magic is what happens if you are someone that can transform kilobits of data into incredible moments of joy for the children and families we support as a result of awesome data-driven fundraising campaigns that smash targets. As an instrumental member of the Supporter Engagement Team at CHAS, you will support your colleagues to “love” their data, harnessing insight to develop marketing campaigns and fundraising products that inspire and grow support.

If you thrive on the challenge of setting and achieving audacious goals, think the only way to approach a target is to smash it out the park, have the playful creativity that doesn’t ever settle for the moon on a stick, and can bring the energy that adds that unexpected sparkle to how you approach your fundraising, then CHAS would love to support you in reaching out and touching your fundraising stars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop database marketing strategy to maximise supporter engagement, supporter recruitment, retention and loyalty
  • Manage, develop and inspire CRM Database Team
  • Manage, develop and fine-tune data processes acting as database administrator, ensuring the safe and effective running of the database
  • Empower colleagues to take control of their supporters and harness insight to help develop relationships
  • Use data to help develop outstanding donor journeys

About You

  • Educated to degree level and/or significant experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office software applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundraising, specifically supporter care experience and database marketing
  • Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework for data management
  • Excellent numerical skills, interpreting data analytics, segmentation and targeting, and a real eye for detail
  • Great at building relationships at all levels

About CHAS

Three children die in Scotland each week from an incurable condition. Presently, CHAS is only able to reach one of those children and their families. We are determined to change that.

At CHAS, our ambition is to reach every family in Scotland who is living with the heart-breaking prognosis that their child is dying, and offer them our care and support to empower them to make the most of the short time they have together. As a CRM Database Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision.
