Job description

Charity People is thrilled to be working with one of Oxford's leading children and baby hospices, Helen and Douglas House, in their search for their new Community and Events Product Development Manager.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours
Salary: £33,454 - £42,863 per annum

About the Charity

Their mission: to provide a home away from home; to help local families in Oxford and the surrounding areas to cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill baby or child in a warm, loving environment.

About the role

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an approach to product development and evaluation to meet the organisation's needs; ensuring that the product portfolio is performing optimally, in collaboration with the Community and Events Fundraising Team; and, delivering a programme of new fundraising initiatives to meet and exceed targets.

The majority of your time will be spent managing the hospice's bespoke fundraising products and events: creating plans, setting KPIs, and managing budgets; as well as leading on the development and innovation of new products and events for a variety of events and community audiences, and a variety of stakeholders, and much more!

About you

Ideally, you will be highly experienced in community and events fundraising experience; be able to demonstrate experience of developing new fundraising initiatives and products and delivering successful fundraising events. You will also have a strong working knowledge of key digital marketing techniques (particularly social media, email- and content marketing); experience of developing and managing annual plans and budgets, and a strong understanding of data analytics and supporter insight to support decision making.

This is an exciting role for a self-motivated innovator, who is able to think ahead and plan strategically when making decisions on insight. You must be resilient, maintaining a positive attitude, and possess a highly creative, imaginative, solutions-based approach to your work. And, most importantly, you must be a confident and persuasive relationship builder who is committed to the motivations of the Hospice.
