Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
The Fundraising Directorate is responsible for generating and raising the funds need to support the work we do. Millions of pounds is generated through businesses and their employees, trusts and foundations, wealthy individuals and fundraising events. Income from voluntary sources enables Centrepoint to provide non-statutory support services including the organisations in-house Learning and Health Teams and the Centrepoint Helpline.
What you’ll be doing…
• Working under direction from the Regional Fundraising Manager to support Centrepoint’s Regional Fundraising Strategy, primarily through community and events fundraising, with a particular focus on helping to develop community fundraising in the North.
• Develop and deliver a portfolio of regional events including challenge and mass participation events, supporting Centrepoint’s flagship Sleep Out events and other events on the calendar.
• Recruiting and managing the stewardship of regional events participants to maximize fundraising and turn them into committed Centrepoint supporters.
• Implementing and delivering an interesting and engaging communications schedule with regional events participants.
• Identifying key potential community partners, securing income and generating relationships with them.
• Developing existing community partnerships

About the Role
In this exciting new post, you will play a pivotal role as a senior leader within the newly formed Funding Strategy Directorate, working closely with the Funding Strategy Director and Senior Management Team to ensure the implementation of the Fund’s vision and ambition.
The Funding Strategy Directorate is a central enabling function that supports the development, innovation and delivery of our funding across all our funding portfolios. This role will lead the Funding Design and Development function, accountable for our grant management system alongside funding controls, policy and practice. With a deep understanding and demonstrable experience of delivering user-centred design approaches and applied strategic thinking you will enable us to deliver excellent services both to our external customers as well as our internal teams.
To be successful in this post you will be passionate about our work and strategy ‘People in the Lead’. You will be an established leader with first class team leadership and coaching skills. You will be adept at setting strategies that drive forward positive change marrying business needs with innovative analysis. You will have experience of designing and delivering a major digital system and be skilled in making complex decisions balancing outcomes with risks.
The team is spread across the UK and you can be based at any of our office locations. When we return to the workplace there will be some travel between offices.

Essential Criteria

- Experience of leading strategy for the whole organisation, marrying business needs with innovative analysis
- Demonstrable experience of delivering user-centred design approaches, applying strategic thinking in how to provide the best service
- Responsibility for the design and delivery of at least one major digital system used by a business or organisation to manage its work whilst aligning with its ambition.
- Building or growing at least one team of mixed skills to deliver such a project.
- Proven ability to coach and lead teams in agile and lean practices, thinking of new and innovative ways of working to achieve the right outcomes
- Excellent Communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrable ability to mediate between people and communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of making and justifying decisions characterised by high levels of risk, impact and complexity

- Knowledge of the wider digital economy and advances in technology, understanding how these impact on a funder context

What’s the job?
You’ll be the go-to person in The Union’s Marketing and Communications team for all things social media - you’ll facilitate the production of original, engaging digital content that builds affinity for and raises awareness of The Union. Oasis is recruiting three Youth Development Workers to be part of a new team of working on a groundbreaking project, supporting A&E Departments in the Greater Manchester area in reducing the harm to young people from violence. As this is a new project we are also recruiting for a Project Coordinator and an Administrator.
Key responsibilities for the Youth Development Workers will be:
- Offering intensive 1:1 support to young people who present to A&E due to violence, including support for the parent / carers and family unit.
- Designing a bespoke plan for the young person (inc referrals partners, agencies)
- Developing the skills of staff within A&E in engaging with young people who come into A&E as a result of a violent incident.
- Working in a team that delivers one-to-one support and mentoring.
Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:
- A relevant qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Social Work (QSW) or SEND OR able to demonstrate relevant experience.
- Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.
- Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes in circumstance and able to work unsocial hours
- Experience with working with multi agencies

Oasis has a vacancy for a Project Administrator to be part of a new team of working on a groundbreaking project, supporting A&E Departments in the Greater Manchester area in reducing the harm to young people from violence.
We are looking for an organised and pro-active Administrator who has a flair for setting up systems, maintaining databases, sorting paperwork and keeping processes on track, all while maintaining confidentiality and helping people from all walks of life. Like most administration jobs, no day will be the same, so you will need to think on your feet and be ready to challenge and be challenged. As this is a new project we are also recruiting for a Project Coordinator and three Youth Development Workers.
To be successful, you will need solid administration experience including minute taking, using social media, as well as data management systems. This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, flexible and reliable, and wants to work in a unique area of youth and community work.
