Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of ‘Supporter Relations Assistant’ to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. This position is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis for 6 months. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.
To manage IRUK’s switchboard and phone enquiry system and to administer the entry of data on the fundraising database. This will include processing donations, updating supporter details, maintaining supporter records, and ensuring that information held is accurate, appropriate and up to date.
The successful candidate must have:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Experience of using databases
- Excellent customer service experience
- Experience of working with sensitive information
- Experience of and passion for, delivering excellent supporter care
- Good levels of computer skills with experience of working with databases and competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Good standard of numeracy
- Proven administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills by phone, email, and post
- Experience of delivering timely and accurate responses
- Experience of multi-tasking and effectively prioritising workload. Ability to work in a methodical manner with attention to detail
- Must be a team player as well as being able to work on own initiative
- Strong empathy for the aims and work of Islamic Relief
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act/GDPR

About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Development and Events Manager to join our small team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future. The role will develop and grow our newly launched 1066 Club and strengthen our existing Membership programme, while working closely with the Head of Development to raise vital income that sustains our artistic and community programmes.

Key responsibilities include
- Manage membership and supporter schemes including administration, renewals, upgrades, CRM records, Gift Aid, payments, and mailings
- Build strong relationships with supporters, providing excellent customer service and personalised communications
- Develop and deliver strategies to grow membership and 1066 Club and increase income
- Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, website and PR to promote membership and supporter schemes
- Champion membership across the gallery, training Visitor Services staff to promote sign-ups and donations
- Plan and deliver member and supporter events, including exhibition openings
- Manage venue hire bookings
- Monitor and analyse membership and donation data, producing reports to inform strategy and track performance
- Manage data submissions for funder reporting and contribute to CRM and digital development projects
- Support trust and foundation fundraising through research, applications, and reporting

Salary: Circa £30K per annum, depending on experience

The Events Coordinator Role will be part of the Philanthropy & Events Team, within the Income and Engagement Directorate, and will report to our Philanthropy Events Manager.

This role will lead the development and delivery of volunteering and community outreach activities that connect people with their local rivers. Activities will include practical volunteering such as river clean-ups, planting days, and invasive species control, as well as citizen science, guided walks, and community workshops.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
As Head of Finance and Contracts, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management and contractual compliance across the charity. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our small finance team, while also leading on budgeting, funder reporting and forecasting. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the organisation’s contracts ensuring we’re operating in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. .
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
- Actively participate in Leadership Team meetings, contributing to the development and achievement of strategic objectives.
- Support the development of the team structure, driving delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to inform long-term decision-making and business growth.
Financial Strategy & Reporting
- Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Oversee monthly management accounts; meet regularly with Heads of Department to monitor spend and evaluate impact.
- Support with the preparation draft statutory accounts and coordinate audit queries.
- Conduct financial analysis, working with HoDs to assess ROI across key projects and income streams.
Operational Finance
- Manage VAT returns, ensuring compliance with
- Assess risk mitigation approaches to balance financial safeguarding with delivery of organisational objectives.
- Oversee monthly payroll processing in partnership with the payroll agent and resolve payroll queries.
- Ensure the overall smooth running of day to day finances, and finance policy adoption/ adherence.
- Reviewing and maintaining Cashflow and working capital documents.
Funding & Grants
- Provide financial oversight and input for grant and corporate funding applications.
Governance & Legal Oversight
- Attend Finance Committee meetings when necessary and support preparation of required reporting materials.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations and legal advisers to review contracts for grants, fundraising licenses, or procurement—particularly where risk or value is high.
- Oversee supplier, corporate partnership and grant contracts, where highly complex working with solicitors for advice
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure robust internal controls.
- Stay informed on changes to relevant financial, legal, and regulatory requirements affecting the charity sector.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in charity finance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of UK charity and company law.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in managing or coordinating audits, payroll processes, and implementing robust financial controls.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail.
- Strong technical proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software).
Desirable
- Understanding of impact and ROI evaluation in a charity context.
- Experience supporting funding applications, particularly for grants and corporate partnerships.
- Experience working in a small charity environment, and creating new systems or processes.
