We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team as Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a 9 month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £46,581.14 per annum plus excellent benefits.

This is an exciting role that will be responsible for leading our brand-new Philanthropy and Partnership’s Research and Engagement Team. This team is responsible for ensuring direct fundraisers are equipped to make compelling asks and steward donors. They cover prospect research, KPI and pipeline reporting, high value events, stewardship and engagement asset creation, and cross team operational support.
Responsibilities of our Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager:
As Prospect Research and Donor Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing Cats Protection’s prospect research and high value donor development programme, including pipeline development, portfolio management, supporter stewardship and proposition creation. A key focus of this role will be to identify funders, advise on their capacity to support the charity’s work and assist in the development of strategic corporate, major donor and foundation relationships that deliver agreed income targets and achieve the organisations ambition for Philanthropy & Partnerships income streams.

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity. Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.
This role is still within its infancy and will be working closely with the Executive Director to lead and oversee our employment services. Recent investment in our services has led to the growth of our employment offer and this role currently oversees four employment teams across Camden and Islington. The post holder will work closely with the other members of the senior leadership team to shape, deliver and evaluate Hillside’s business strategy and support on ensuring Hillside continues to meet the needs of the local mental health community.
Role overview:
- To oversee and support the day-to-day running and growth of the employment services offering of the Charity; currently two Individualise Placement and Support (IPS) services and two Employment Advisors (EA) in Talking Therapies services.

- The post holder will be an active member of the senior leadership team, working in close coordination with the Executive Director and the Director of Clubhouse Operations.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director, the post holder will lead on the growth and sustainment of Hillside’s employment services. The post holder will also be expected to supervise new staff where new services are developed.

As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.
You will work with the Fundraising Consultant to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which will ensure CAN’s financial sustainability over the next 3 years.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:
- Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
- Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events.
- Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.
2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and steward relationships with existing funder organisations ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
- Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.
3. Fundraising Campaigns:
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.
- Collaborate across CAN teams to develop compelling fundraising materials and messaging.
4. Grant Writing and Reporting:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
- Write grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with both CAN and funder priorities and requirements.
- Prepare regular reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Project managing the CAN Founders and Staff Team to ensure proper project kick offs, data gathering and sign offs.
- Writing and project managing the creation of funding bids and reports. Supporting on relationship building with funders, with support from CAN Founders, the CAN Staff Team and Fundraising Consultant.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience in grant writing and proposal development.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

About the role
This is an exciting new post in the Communications Team at Glass Door. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will support the delivery of a new paid & organic digital marketing strategy, working closely & collaboratively with both the Comms & Fundraising Teams, as well as co-lead on the delivery of a new website.
Through this role, we will ensure that all our existing supporters are actively communicated with and that we are regularly engaging with a range of new supporters through a unique & tailored approach.
What you will do as part of our team
Marketing:

Work with all internal stakeholders to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness.

Co-manage delivery of multiple/ congruent campaigns, appeals & events to attract & engage new supporters - often working alongside key members of other teams including fundraising, operations and advocacy teams.

Work collaboratively with the Digital Comms Officer to ensure all content is optimised for multiple purpose/platforms and in line with our brand guidelines

Contribute creative ideas to generate content for campaigns, news stories, blogs and social media

Oversee development and delivery of quarterly e-newsletters. Assist colleagues with their email marketing to ensure on brand and in line with overall digital calendar

Work closely with the Individual Giving Officer to run email marketing campaigns - including audience specific segmented email journeys

Monitor impact

Monitor the impact of paid & organic marketing campaigns to report on key KPI’s and metrics. Using tools within social media platforms and Google analytics.
