About the role

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces.
As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally. They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).
For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
- Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
- Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.
About You
We are looking for a high-energy and innovative leader with a strong background in nature conservation, open space management, and team leadership.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
- Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.
- Significant experience managing complex conservation work and projects across varied landscapes
- Significant knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife management, including land and water management.
- Strong experience managing a diverse team of professionals in an operational environment.
- Experience of implementing legislation and policy relevant to biodiversity conservation, planning guidance, and site designation for wildlife conservation and species status designations.
- A highly creative, entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving, with the ability to remain resilient in the face of challenges.

The role

We’re looking for a strategic, creative Head of Fundraising to lead our next phase of growth.
Your first focus will be stewarding our 3,000 fundraisers - overseeing segmented email journeys, managing a £40k prizing fund, and improving supporter care through deeper, more personal touchpoints. That might mean calls, events, or just finding ways to help people feel more connected to their impact.
Beyond that, you'll help us develop and test new income streams - from matched giving and regular giving, to sponsorships, repeat fundraising, and post-event conversion. You'll also play a key role in evolving our Challenge Events portfolio across in-person, virtual, and blended formats.

Events Fundraising Manager role:
We are seeking a highly organised, creative, and results-driven Event Manager to lead and grow Roundabout’s events portfolio. This is a pivotal role in our fundraising team, taking overall responsibility for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our events programme to maximise income, engage supporters, and raise awareness of youth homelessness in South Yorkshire.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a Director of Income Generation to lead on securing income. This is an exciting role which will focus on:

Work with the Alumni Team to identify opportunities to sustainably grow the individual giving pipeline, including beneficiaries.

Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaigns.
Events

Lead the team on the delivery of a sector-leading events portfolio, to include income-generating events, and the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, Patrons, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.
Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to build strategic relationships with companies that grow philanthropic and commercial income.

Support the acquisition of new, multi-year philanthropic funders and existing donors.

We’re Morden College: an almshouse charity providing older people with housing in south-east London. About the role and who we are looking for
We are seeking a Sustainability and Evaluation Officer to play a vital role in helping us build the foundations of our sustainability and impact work during a key period of organisational development and change.
Reporting to our Sustainability and Impact Lead, this role will provide essential analytical, coordination, and stakeholder engagement support as we:

Develop and implement a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework

Complete our first environmental and social impact baseline assessment
-
Prepare our first Sustainability and Impact Report

Begin embedding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability principles into all aspects of our operations and services.
Much of this work will involve identifying and organising data currently dispersed across the organisation (e.g. spreadsheets, systems, teams), contributing to the development of a new CRM system, and building processes and tools that enable us to better measure, evaluate and communicate our impact.
You will work closely with colleagues across all departments – particularly in resident services, property, hospitality & commercial, IT and finance – as well as with residents and external partners. You’ll also help ensure sustainability and impact considerations are built into how we make decisions, improve services, and report externally.
This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career with strong data and evaluation skills, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in how environmental and social change happens within complex organisations. Main duties and responsibilities
1. Data discovery and management

Locate, clean, and organise data from across the charity (including resident services, environmental data, property portfolio, HR and finance)

Help define and implement consistent data collection processes to improve quality and accessibility of information
2. Evaluation and learning

Support the development and implementation of our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework

Conduct or contribute to evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methods
