The Account Executive will be responsible for growing a key membership network that works with employers and partner organisations. They will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective members, and deliver engaging pitches that demonstrate the value of the programme.

CAFOD has an ambition to be digital first in our marketing and communications, to stay ahead of emerging trends and make the most of what digital technology can offer to strengthen our relationships with our supporters and in our ways of working across the organisation. Digital technology has already transformed our communications and will continue to do so. This senior communications and marketing role will be responsible for steering the ongoing digital transformation of CAFODs work, primarily in the supporter programme and also across the wider organisation.

This role encompasses overall responsibility for the brand, digital marketing, messaging, proactive and reactive media relations, with a core focus on digital transformation across all platforms. This post will play a key role in guiding our digital shop fronts and marketing efforts, evolving supporter journeys, steering our email programme and leading on the digital infrastructure to enable delivery of our supporter programme. It will ensure that digital engagement and conversion is embedded and an integral part of our communications planning. 

This role will drive innovation and data-informed insight across the full spectrum of communications and wider organisation functions. This role will drive brand awareness, brand advocacy and action across our programmes to ensure CAFOD is top of mind amongst the Catholic Community of England and Wales, helping to grow support from our constituency. You will bring proven senior-level experience in digital communications and marketing, ideally within the charity sector. With a strong understanding of communications at a senior level with expert knowledge of digital channels, audience engagement, and online conversion, you also have a strategic grasp of how digital integrates into broader communications and supporter strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Line manage senior specialists across digital marketing, website, and media and PR, ensuring high performance and professional growth.

• Passionate about digital innovation and technologies, with deep knowledge of platforms, formats, and trends.

Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills

1. Demonstrable track record of securing six or seven-figure philanthropic or corporate partnerships.

2. Strong sales and new business experience, with proven ability to build and close a pipeline of high-value opportunities.

3. Experience in account management, with a focus on growing existing funder partnerships and securing uplift.

4. Excellent relationship-building skills with senior leaders, HNWIs, and corporate decision-makers.

5. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of turning complex ideas into compelling narratives.

6. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to operate at pace and deliver results.

Desirable

• Knowledge of international systems change, governance, climate, environment & legal funding landscapes.

• Experience of working in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.

• Experience using CRM systems and tracking documents for pipeline management and reporting.

As our Partnerships Assistant you will be a vital part of our Partnerships team helping to build long-term, sustainable and mutually-beneficial relationships with businesses and key supporters.

Our Partnerships team manage high-profile relationships, including with household name beauty brands and retailers, and with ambitious plans for 2026 and beyond this is an exciting time to join the team. In this role you will lead on all administrative duties in the Partnerships team - including keeping our database up to date, managing diaries, raising invoices, updating documents, and recording minutes and actions in key meetings. 

This role requires a candidate who is highly organised and who has the ability to plan, prioritise and meet concurrent deadlines. You will have strong data entry and diary management skills, the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders and you will be a real team player.

You will be supported by your line manager, and the wider team, to deliver on your objectives and this is a perfect opportunity for someone with proven administrative skills, from any sector, to help shape our programme and deliver on our mission.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK’s growing Community Fundraising team as the Senior Regional Fundraising Manager, where you will lead, inspire and empower your talented team of Regional Fundraisers and Fundraising Managers to unlock the full potential of our highest-value supporters—individuals, community groups, and regional corporate partners—across the UK.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our community fundraising strategy by crafting ambitious regional plans, nurturing high-performing teams, and driving innovation in supporter engagement. Championing a relationship-led approach, ensuring every supporter feels valued and inspired to raise vital funds. You will lead collaboration with other teams such as National Corporate and the Marketing and Communications team to drive new business pipelining and amplify Community Fundraising campaigns, develop new fundraising products, and represent Dementia UK at external events and sector initiatives.

You will be responsible for effectively recruiting, training and developing staff, creating an aspirational culture where the team are motivated to meet and exceed targets. Using insight, analysis and audience understanding, you will inform strategic decisions and continuously evolve our regional fundraising approach to maximise impact and income.

We are looking for you to bring a strong background in community fundraising and a track record in growing fundraising income. Confidence in setting and managing large budgets, reporting on KPIs and adjusting plans as necessary is essential. An understanding of delivering community fundraising products and scaling ideas that support donor acquisition and retention is vital, with the ability to use insight to shape pipeline and stewardship planning. You’ll also be an experienced team leader who can motivate and guide others to deliver results.

- At least five years’ experience in digital fundraising and marketing in a charity or mission-driven organisation
- Experience in the end-to-end management of large-scale events
- Experience writing, reviewing, and editing copy for a variety of audiences and uses
- Experience developing and delivering multi-channel digital campaigns with measurable impact
- Experience using analytics tools
- Project management experience
- Demonstrable expertise in paid media strategy and optimisation
- A deep understanding of digital trends, donor behaviour, and fundraising compliance
- Strong creative ideation and direction skills
- To be educated to degree level
- Ideally, two years of team leadership

Business development & Partnership building

1. Identify funding opportunities by keeping abreast of the funding landscape, as well as trends within the international development and Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking sectors, assessing new market opportunities, and forming partnerships. Work closely with country offices to identify and respond to funding opportunities.

2. Build a robust pipeline of opportunities for Hope for Justice programmes.

3. Build highly productive relationships with donors and negotiate effectively, when required.

4. Develop and deliver tailored, high-quality bids, working closely with all relevant HFJ departments to design comprehensive and evidence-based projects for funding.

1. Manage the bid development cycle - follow internal processes for bids, work with the teams to ensure high quality bid design, write and edit technical content for bids, and respond to donor requirements.

6. Report on specific projects from the team’s annual plan.

Donor management

1. Represent Hope for Justice at external meetings with donors and consortium partners.

2. Manage relationships with donors - input into engagement/donor stewardship strategies, communicate with donors regularly, and share key information about projects in between reporting periods.

1. Ensure reporting requirements for all donors are met and quality reports are completed to deadlines.

2. Lead on donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.

3. Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of donor grant agreements/contracts, including key deadlines (completion of grant management documents as required).

4. Manage due diligence processes, facilitate donor audits and support the programmes team on external evaluations for donor funded projects.

General

1. Travel is expected as part of the role, including to Hope for Justice Programmes.

2. Support digitalisation of donor and grant records and bid and grant processes.

3. Support volunteers that are assigned to the team.

4. Any other related duties as delegated by the Head of Strategic Partnerships.

5. Ensure harmonious working relationships with all Hope for Justice Departments and staff.

6. Work always in line with HFJ policies and procedures and the wider strategy, culture and ethos of Hope for Justice.
