Bow Foodbank is proud to be a community solution to the problem of food insecurity in East London. Volunteers are involved in every area of foodbank life, from carrying out day-to-day tasks to supporting back office functions and governance of the Foodbank. This role is vital to make sure our volunteers have a positive experience and can contribute to our work.

You will support the Operations Manager in ensuring volunteers are equipped to come to our sessions and support the work of the foodbank. You will be responsible for managing every stage of the volunteer journey, from onboarding to providing feedback.

• · You will work with the trustees and senior team to ensure volunteers have a strong voice within the foodbank, 
• · You will be the volunteer platform super user, leading volunteer administration and record keeping.
• · You will be responsible for monitoring volunteer training, ensuring that volunteers are equipped to volunteer safely            and uphold  the values of Bow Foodbank as we interact with members of the community.
• · You will maintain the volunteer CRM and be the main point of contact with the platform provider.
• · You will roll out and maintain the Volunteer Handbook, ensuring all volunteers have access to Bow Foodbank                    Policies and  Procedures.
• · You will work with the Corporate and Community Manager to plan group volunteering sessions.
• · You will work with the Volunteer Wellbeing Lead to ensure volunteers have access to the same signposted                        services as our guests.
• · You will support volunteer communications and consultation (many of our volunteers have English as a second                  language).
• · You will work with the Operations Manager to set volunteer rotas.
• · Attend sessions to identify improvements that could be made to the volunteer experience.
• · Set up agreements for special volunteering projects, such as our Data Team or Period Champions.
• · Work with our ‘Social Squad’ (volunteer social team) to set up volunteer appreciation events.
• · Manage Volunteer expenses and petty cash.
• · Manage volunteer references and letters to other agencies.

The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity.  Working to the Director of Fundraising and with other senior fundraising staff, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy to maximize income generation and donor engagement within the region.  You will be required to be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity as well as identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with community groups, schools, individuals, and corporate donors within the region, focusing on donor retention and growth.  You will also organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives within your region, including virtual and in-person events when applicable.

This is a home-based role covering a designated geographical area which you are required to live within, or be willing and able to relocate to.  There will be extensive travel across the region with the potential to be based in a local visitor centre at least 2 days per week.

Scotland –  within 50-mile radius of Aboyne in Aberdeenshire

South East – within a 50 mile radius of Snetterton, Norfolk

North East – within a 50 mile radius of Blackpool, Lancashire

We are a small, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people across Surrey.  This is a key new role in the Major Relationships unit to support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead in major donor fundraising, an area which has grown in recent years.  This locally based post will enhance the prospect pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of major donor prospects, which will help towards meeting the objectives and financial targets for major donor fundraising. The role will cover three main areas of responsibility: Research, Events (organisation/co-ordination) and Admin. This position requires discretion, confidentiality and administrative judgment.

The Major Relationships unit works alongside Grants, Corporates & Community as well as Individual Giving, as part of the wider Engagement (fundraising/marketing) team at Eikon. 

Responsibilities   

1. Research   

• Identify and prioritise potential major donor prospects in Surrey and beyond, who would be capable of making significant contributions and seem likely to have the propensity to donate i.e. to become major donors. 

• Produce high quality, tailored and insightful research on major donors.  

• Look at current supporters (all different types/levels) with good contacts/connections/networks and conduct research in order to suggest ways to reach new high net worth individuals across Surrey. 

2. Event organisation/co-ordination 

• Organise/coordinate internal and externally run events such as dinners, drinks receptions, sporting events. 

• Attend key events - approx. 5 each year and sometimes evenings/weekends – welcoming guests and ensuring a positive experience. 

• Join the CEO and/or the Major Relationships Lead at specific meetings with MDs/MDPs, occasionally evenings/weekends. 

 3. Admin 

• Day-to-day support for MDs, MDPs and key influencers (KIs) which could include:  

• General stewardship including thanking and processing information on Sharepoint and Donorfy (Eikon’s database). 

• Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates. 

• Database admin, including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements. 

• Supporting individuals or small groups who are fundraising for us e.g. how to set up and promote a JustGiving page. 

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships  

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials, as well as maximising social media opportunities. 

• Co-ordinate communications (including distribution) to all MDs/MDPs/KIs eg CEO Update plus Infographic. 

• Support the CEO and Major Relationships Lead to further develop good relationships with Eikon’s MDs/MDPs/KIs. 

5. Strategy  

• Contribute to Engagement Team strategies, annual plans and budgets.  

6. Staff management  

• Take part in regular supervision and team meetings.  

• No line management requirement  

7. Quality and standards  

• Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.  

• Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.  

• Carry out risk assessments for all MD/MDP/KI events.  

• Ensure consent procedures are followed. 

• Carry out required due diligence on new MD opportunities and ensure that there is no obvious conflict with the values or ethical policy of the charity.  

8. Finance and resources.  

• Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.   

9. Other responsibilities  

• This role requires flexible working outside of normal hours as agreed.  

• Keep abreast of sector trends and opportunities.   

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.

Job Profile

Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.

You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. You will support the development of stewardship documents for donors, with related statistics and outcomes information and stories. You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations.  The team has recently transitioned to a new team structure with a new set of ambitions and plans, and more formalised support across the organisation, at all levels, to enable the team to deliver.

The successful candidate will need to be a detail orientated, solution focused, project manager with expert knowledge in fundraising and data protection regulations. As our Fundraising Compliance Manager, you will be the focal point for compliance, providing guidance and advice to colleagues ensuring that we have sufficient controls and processes in place across all areas of fundraising. • To conduct periodic reviews or audits (to include external suppliers) to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and fit for purpose.

Gift Administration and Implementation

• Support our fundraising colleagues to maximise their income and engage with supporters in a compliant way
• Triage and respond to gift administration and compliance queries and requests within defined service level times
• Produce and keep updated, relevant guidance, tools and resources for colleagues across the fundraising function
• Develop new strategies to provide the best support for our fundraisers and work to build new and lasting relationships with key stakeholders

Fundraising compliance and data protection

• To evaluate and apply the Data Protection principles to variable and challenging scenarios, supporting colleagues to find solutions to their problems within the limits of the law.
• Ensuring we are aware of and reacting to any fundraising and data protection regulations changes. Regulations include GDPR/UK Data Protection Act 2021, Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice, Charity Commission guidelines, BACS, and PCI DSS Compliance. HMRC Gift aid guidelines.
• Recognise that a change in procedure or legislation external to the Foundation has implications and who needs to be notified of the changes.
• Produce and continually monitor our operational policies; modelling best practices against the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice
• Responsible for reviewing all fundraising contracts and third-party agreements for data capture to ensure they are in line with all compliance regulations, ensuring our supporter data is adequately protected, any new fundraising processes and procedures are compliant, and fulfilling the operational commitments associated. Suggest and negotiate amendments, and if the necessary compliance clauses cannot be met then decline authorisation to work with that third party.
• Assess data risks and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments where required, being prepared to work with colleagues to pull together the relevant information and present to the data protection lead for sign off. ·

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal College of Physicians at a crucial time. The RCP is the oldest medical royal college representing doctors in over 30 specialties from cardiology and gastroenterology to geriatric and respiratory medicine.

The senior public affairs and policy manager will help us to understand the key policy issues in health and healthcare and lead our influencing work, developing the RCP’s networks, particularly in parliament and government.

You will help manage and oversee a portfolio of high-profile work across a range of topics, proactively identifying opportunities for the RCP to influence the agenda and working with RCP fellows and members to shape and progress our campaigns. You will lead and manage our public affairs work, contributing your expertise to design and lead influencing strategies, campaign planning and policy development for a range of issues.

You will have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering successful influencing strategies, using a range of parliamentary influencing tactics to achieve policy change. You will be as comfortable speaking to parliamentarians and briefing senior leaders for meetings as you are writing consultation responses and policy briefings. You will be able to engage with the policy detail, while appreciating the bigger political picture and our place in it.

You will lead and manage the organisation’s stakeholder engagement to uphold our position as a leading health and care organisation. Central to that will be maintaining a network of contacts across the sector, in parliament, including political advisers, and the civil service. You will work with the president and senior officers to develop policy positions and advocate for them to external stakeholders within UK Government, Parliament and the wider health and care sector.

You will maintain a keen awareness of developments in the external landscape and make recommendations for how to evolve and progress our campaign messaging and policy positioning in response. Working closely with media colleagues, you will help to develop our voice with communications approaches that ensure high impact for our policy and campaigns work, including the Inequalities in Health Alliance. The Foundations Officer will work as part of the Partnerships team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts, foundations and corporates. The Foundations Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s mission by stewarding partnerships with philanthropic and corporate foundations and creating new business opportunities to deliver on BRAC’s mission.

The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to information law, intellectual property, contracts, procurement, trusts, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, public law and judicial review.

In addition to providing substantive advice, the role requires a Senior Solicitor to be able to research and upskill on new areas of law quickly. Further, it is expected that the Senior Solicitor will use his or her legal knowledge to improve the Fund’s internal processes and precedents, and ensure that the Fund complies with statutory and regulatory frameworks at all times.

The bulk of the Senior Solicitor’s workload will consist of autonomous matters and legal queries. These will need to be answered in a timely manner. Further, the Senior Solicitor will also work on larger scale projects where the opportunity arises.

The Senior Solicitor will be working in a team of 6 within the AID team and 14 within the wider legal team.  The role does not include any line management responsibilities. 

Experience working in a fast paced in-house or private practice environment would be ideal, as would experience dealing with a range of clients, and experience with public law or public bodies. Knowledge of subsidy law and/or procurement law would be beneficial, as would experience gained in the UK.

As the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser you will use your core knowledge and skill to reflect on strategy, relationship building and leading our charitable profile and income streams.

We are looking for someone to work with a clear strategy and then develop, grow and successfully manage our Youth Advisory (YAG) and Alumni groups, as well as lead the engagement of families / support networks. We are in our third year of running our YAG and yet to launch our Alumni offer. This role will therefore involve leading the implementation, development, and growth of the membership of both DFN Project SEARCH YAG and Alumni group. This will include planning and facilitating a programme of activities throughout the year for YAG and Alumni members, which we hope will be a mix of in person and online events.

This post holder will also provide ongoing training to YAG, Alumni and parent/carer members and facilitate their participation in our advocacy work. There will also be opportunities to deliver training to our central and partner teams alongside members of these groups
